- In this video we'll be exploring an early 20th Century abandoned stone house in Kentucky. It's only been vacant a few years but you'll see just how much decay can occur within that short period of time. It was absolutely freezing cold the day we explored this house, my hands were numb and later in a lot of pain lol.. Thanks for watching.

I cannot explain it, but I feel sad when I see these old beauties going to ruin. I like to think about the families that have lived there, and all the happy times shared.
+Kathy Stidham I do that myself all the time, its fascinating
Awesome! I would never have been able to summon the courage to go into that basement though.
That song was perfect! The emotion that is conveyed in the song is evident in what the viewer sees, a sad and lonely house! The gingham wallpaper suggests that there was once happy people here! That bathroom oh my! Pink and a purple toilet seat with a daisy on the light switch! Wow! A little psychedelic! Sad and left to wither away! Thank you so much for taking me on this wonderful adventure!
Well expressed. And someone certainly did spend some time decorating- one does get the idea that there were happy people living there.
Thank you, Kentucky Urbex, for a terrific video.
it is amazing the way nature reclaims something. Go back there 5 or 10 years from now and that ivy will be all over the place. you do amazing work.
I love all the built ins.
a beautiful home, its so sad its abandoned😔😔😔😔
Nice! Thanks for taking us with you.
Great video. love old houses
+amanda jackson Thanks Amanda, so do we : )
Beautiful old stone house. Love the wide baseboards, all the built ins and large windows. Barely saw a full view of the cool old fashioned kitchen sink and the cool woodwork above the doors. The old base of the closet light fixture was gorgeous! And you thought exactly the same thought I had about that bell on the basement steps. Just watched that movie "again" the other day so it was fresh in my mind lol! It is so sad to see these old homes because they were someone's home at one time waste away. And last I guess you could call it the house of doors. Good job I enjoyed the trip.
+Deborah Bond Thanks Deborah, glad you enjoyed the video. I've also thought of it has the house of doors : ) And the bell.. lol.. glad to hear someone else shared my thoughts on that. It is sad to see them go to waste, I want to film as many as I can so that at least their memory will live on in some small way
There are lots of old stone houses and barns forgotten. Makes me want to cry
Thank you for taking the time, and so sorry about the freezing cold you had to go through with doing this for us. Loved the old woodwork, the arches here and there, the staircases, the vines coming through to the inside, that actually made it beautiful even today.
I couldnt feel my hands, or the camera lol.. but it was worth it, thank you very much
I know that I have said this before on another video, but the music you choose combined with the images you film, bring a level of poignancy to your videos that is lacking in many other urbex videos that I watch. For those who do not want a soundtrack to the videos, there are many other urbex channels that do not use music. Or, you could do as I often do, when I am interested in watching a particular video, but cannot abide listening to inane comments made by the videographer, and simply mute your computer. The music that you choose for each video makes for a much deeper, richer experience for me. I appreciate the amount of work that you bring to each of your videos, and I look forward to experiencing each new adventure that you share.
+MegaGinia I really appreciate it, sorry it's taken me awhile to get back to this and quite a few other comments. It means a lot that you enjoy my videos the way I intend them to be, thats really a great thing to me, thanks again :)
amazing old house, has a lot of doors and archways. wonder how it was ever heated? Thank you for sharing this!
What a nice house, made to stand for years with all the stone walls. Good video
+dearnapst No doubt made to last, thanks : )
I love this house! I love the pink rooms with the pretty strip wallpaper, and the big spacey rooms.
Love to see the house in the public eye and catch someones eye that would fix it up and love it again..its a gorgeous house
That's a front doorbell in the basement this is gorgeous house.

+Carlino Negro Thank you Carlino! Glad to have you here
Every old building had a spirit of its own, and that was joined by the spirits of those who occupied it. Its sad to lose anything that once protected and helped others get through their lives, which are shorter than we realize....
Great house...good video....the music was sad and also well suited to the sad situation of being abandoned.
Beautiful! Just found your channel and love your videos! Keep doing what you're doing!
I love this old foursquare! It seems to be in great shape for its age, and being abandoned. Thank you for sharing this piece of history with us!
Great video.. Enjoyed watching..
I miss closets like that. My grandmother had some. After living overseas (military) where the houses do not have closets you really appreciate them.
U shoot great videos.
so sad these places were once lived many families and now all abandoned. this house could be saved too.
+Michelle Mesher I agree Michelle, it's sad to think of all the life that was once lived in these places now that they are empty and forgotten
You are a wonderful videographer and this house was just amazing. With it being stone and brick it wouldn't take much to make it livable again. I subscribed to your channel.
Thank you very much Debra!
Debra Dorsey How come? does the stone and wood deteriorate??
Class!👍✌
well done keep up the good work
Im subscribing too this channel, you have very nice explores and i enjoid watching them
+rolf sinkgraven Thank you! I'm glad you enjoy them
My family on my father's about 5 generations back used to live in a cabin in Tennessee. Unfortunately, we no longer own the land it stands on, but I was able to sneak in and explore a little.
+Randy Butternubs Neat, cool you got to explore it a bit
Just so sad to see them just fall apart was a nice home . Yuk wallpaper tho lol
+imabee2010 Yuk wallpaper is right ha..

Another great video. You will have to be careful you don't get chilblains in your hands, also your feet. Many thanks for sharing
Great video!
+smilinachya Thank you!
I love your videos.
'Abandon for few years'? Looks like it's had no care for more than that.. Great video, Thank You..
This one is really sad. It just needs some love to be livable again.
You should get some neopren gloves, they are warm and can't get wet and you will still have a good grip on your camera you can also get some handwarmers, we use them when fishing in cold weather, you light a piece of coal up and close it, keep in your pocket to warm hands before they freeze, both can be bought in fishing equipment stores :)
+dearnapst I've been looking for some good gloves to film with when the weather is cold, so I might have to try some of those, thanks! Although I hope to not need any the rest of the year, but Ill keep it in mind for next winter
Another excellent and enjoyable (albeit sad) video!! I love the built-ins in this home, those are great! And I think the wired bell looking object was actually a really old doorbell if I remember correctly. I've seen a few homes with them and my Grandmother's house had one as well. Keep these vids comin' my friend! :-)
I have never seen so many doors so close together. Strange house.
Nice
Also love the way you use the camera great film loved it !!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you
Your style of filming is...well...Creeeeeepy!!! Creepy cool that is... Love it. New sub.
I would love to find this house and buy it! So beautiful!
It's sad to see these homes go to decay.
+Karen Gilliam Yes it sure is Karen, I agree
The bell was for the much the older phone systems; we have the same thing downstairs in our1900 American Foursquare.
some good shoots. thanks for sharing with us. did this house creep you out any? konda did me and i wasn't there
wow lots of doors
The peeling happens when you paint acrylic over oil .
Can you tell me the name of the song..so hauntingly beautiful...great job
+Lisa Phillips Sure, it's called "To build a home" by the Cinematic Orchestra. Thanks!
yo viviria muy feliz en esta casa
That buffalo Bill comment ....them the o ly thing on the bathroom cupboard was lotion??Wtf......I got the Willies from this house. Song too pretty fir this place lol
It seems like a lot of these old houses are on the eastern side of the U.S. Central East and lower East.
+shannonm75 While I haven't done much traveling in the western U.S, it seems that way to me as well. As it pertains to the oldest of homes, of course those are naturally on the eastern side as it was settled first.. but its also a shame that so many of those are left to ruin.
In the northwest particular eastern wa state, we got a lot of small cabins & little houses that have a unique look, minimalist architecture. Most were built in the late 1920's & early 1930's
I would love to live in that house, does it come with the music?...Reaven
Hello, just joined. Fantastic home, do u have any info on it. Great vid an music.
Thanks Terry, I dont have much information about the home, its been vacant a few years
Why can't they build homes like that anymore?...Reaven
that was the servants Bell and when the servants would be called The Bell would ring!!!!
Jody Smith this is just a regular house, not a big MANSION lol. no servants. bell to let you know phone ringing if you in basement doing laundry most likely.
Is this house in Berea?
lovely song, who is it? and whats the name of the song?
What was that yellow carpeted thing with the holes in the basement?
+TheEngineGal I'd love to know the same thing lol.. The two holes placed opposite each other puzzled me quite a bit.. and the fact that it was carpeted.. I really have no idea.. my mind wants to keep going to a torture device, with arm holes ha, but of course thats not what it was, I just dont know
+Kentucky Urbex My first thought was that it was built for cats to play in but who would put it down in the basement?
do you know who owns this house, if it is not far from me i would look into buying it, i coud do most of the work myself and fix it up in no time at all
it's sad that a beautiful house go to waste instead of donate it to any charity or the aspca life is too short can the state take the property?
lots of lead paint and asbestos. to costly to restore.
+Ron Caluman I'd say you're right, but one can dream
Ron Caluman, the paint was latex due to the peeling; lead just chips up.
What's with the music??
very depressing
😈😈😈😈😈😈😈😈😈
These would be better without the music. Too distracting. And turning the volume down also takes away from it. I'd rather just see an old house being explored with little talking and no annoying music.
No need for soundtrack!!
lots of lead paint and asbestos. to costly to restore.
