Its very sad to see this!! Im from Corbin. I left in 1978. I remember my family would stay there when they come to visit. It might have been the Holiday Inn at that time. Corbin has changed so much i would never be able to find my old house growing up. Thanks for sharing!!
@IgnitedCoyote Appreciate this video. I worked there as a teenager when it was a Holiday Inn and found the attorney's son who committed suicide in the parking lot by the dumpster. It was a suspicious investigation. It was during the Hodge days and everything in Whitley County was suspicious. My grandmother worked there and retired after 20years. She can tell you some stories.
I’d like to hear some stories I hear how crooked cops and police forces are down that way. I lived there for a summer one time a few years ago. It’s a beautiful place and if I had my own house maybe I would like it better but it was so boring to me when I was there but also I was in a sober house so it wasn’t fun place to be many beautiful women down this way
I wouldn't believe suicides about many supposed suicides in the past.. come on beside a dumpster, i would not belive it after people tried to sell me some tainted drugs (as a round up was happening) and they wanted me to take it, then had me park by a dumpster, but i didn't really take it, i put it in my shirt pocket (because they seemd extra wierd CREEPY LIKE) and drank some water in front of them as if I took it , even if a gun shot doesn't mean suicide around them curropt official people, maybe they had to have that certain person dead, and tried to overdose them, it would look like a hotel guest maybe at party and people at the hotel party wheeled the guy out to the dumpster...
That is the old Holiday Inn.. I worked there in 1971.. The Six Million dollar man (Lee Majors) stopped in there overnight. At the time we thought that was a big deal.... I visited in March 1988 and it was still in operation at that time..
My uncle Clint Phillips befriended Lee majors when they were students at Eastern Kentucky University Lee visited my grandpa's farm in rockcastle county
It was a Holiday inn way back. I worked in the kitchen there and they had off track betting then. Probably thirty years ago or longer now. They used to be a little log cabin up past the office that was a gift shop I was hoping you would catch on video, but from the looks of it I guess the kudzu has taken it over. Thanks for preserving it on video. Good health and God bless
Sure was a beautiful spot for a motel! Creepy history! I sure don't like vandalism, wish folks would leave things alone! Thanks for sharing it with us Coyote's!👍
Stayed here a lot when i was younger. Also was a corrections officer when nick rucker was arrested. He was definitely a messed up individual. Love yalls content, keep exploring!
I remember coming here every Summer. My entire family stayed here that came down from Ohio/Indiana when we had our family reunions. The Best part for me was the massive pool, and Arcade
I have eaten there many times when it was Holiday Inn. I dont think I was ever there after Holiday Inn rest closed. It was a very nice place back in the days. We loved going there and eating. I live just up the road from there in London Ky.
My mother worked there forever when it was holiday inn. Then when it was best value her and i both worked there. My mother vicki conner is the woman that was murdered by nicholas rucker. It is so sad to see the place like this.
She kept making comments about how nature was taking over, reclaiming the land. He made a comment to the vines near the entrance *Hey, vines, the ròoms aren't all that great but the price is reasonable" I got a kick out of that! Too funny 😂
FTP G59 is from $uicideboy$. Btw the person the spray painted that on the outside wall is chyanne F.. she was bragging about her and her boyfriend johnathon C. Vandalizing a abandoned hotel
I think I stayed there, years ago. If this is the place, it was another name after Holiday. Daniel Boone Motor Lodge? I don't remember a lounge, but I think I was there on a Sunday. Odd... I remember the day, but not the decade.
Every town has at least one creepy place....and you guys found one. That trash needs to be dozed and erased once and for all. Out of sight...out of mind.
Hey Ignited Coyote and Mrs. Coyote we passed yall coming off the abandoned motel when we were coming home from church this morning wish I would have known it was yall we could have stopped and bought yall some lunch
When I was little I stayed the night there with my parents during the murders and druggie around 2013. A few years after it got shutdown and in your video I saw a face around the corner 13:12
I was just by that place an hour ago and could have driven up there.I looked up there and seen the old porch cover type shelter but someone should come in and tear that down and building new nice hotel would be a great spot.
I gave him a ride to Williamsburg at 5am the next morning , I was staying at the Econo Lodge working out of town and had no clue nothing about the guy , just ask me for a ride and I said hop in
It used to be a Days inn in the 80s it's been a lot of time there was a kid that used to have a restaurant and a pool on the side you guys can't get through
You did bring a gun right? You could run into anyone I-75 right there and people 👍 for a ride on that part of I-75 a lot. I am from Michigan I know how far I-75 gos I been to Florida many times. If you don't have a truck do not pick up riders. I say truck because they can ride in the back.

My uncle Clint Phillips befriended Lee majors when they were students at Eastern Kentucky University Lee visited my grandpa's farm in rockcastle county
Check my post above about another name for the place.

Loved the drive with yall. Take care
Thanks!
Hey Mr coyote and papa coyote happy Father's day!
Thanks Mark!
That's really a shame that people would do that to a hotel like
Mountain View Lodge was ran by my family. It’s so sad seeing it like this.
She kept making comments about how nature was taking over, reclaiming the land. He made a comment to the vines near the entrance *Hey, vines, the ròoms aren't all that great but the price is reasonable" I got a kick out of that! Too funny 😂
This is one spooky place with such a sad history thanks for sharing I would not even go into any of those rooms .
I've been there many times when it was. Brand new and it was beautiful.
Mrs. Coyote is braver than me.
There are several motels in NJ that remind me of The Mountain View.
I don't know why people vandalize what's not theirs. I stayed at Bay mont there a few weeks ago.
It really makes you wonder about human nature
FTP G59 is from $uicideboy$. Btw the person the spray painted that on the outside wall is chyanne F.. she was bragging about her and her boyfriend johnathon C. Vandalizing a abandoned hotel
I went swimming there many times in early 70s. Joe Chandler was innkeeper at the Holiday inn back then. Brother worked at desk back then.
I think I stayed there, years ago. If this is the place, it was another name after Holiday. Daniel Boone Motor Lodge? I don't remember a lounge, but I think I was there on a Sunday. Odd... I remember the day, but not the decade.
I think the Harlan county ghost hunters should check that place out
Yes! That's an excellent ideal.
great video I like the spooky stuff😁!
Every town has at least one creepy place....and you guys found one. That trash needs to be dozed and erased once and for all. Out of sight...out of mind.
I agree. Thanks Terry!
Looks like something out of a horror movie. 😂😂
I enjoyed the video, Did I hear tornado siren around 13:23 time? Do you get tornadoes there?
That was an ambulance going down i-75
@@IgnitedCoyote Enjoy your weekend to you and your wife! Ray from Long Island, NY
Thank you Ray, hope you have a wonderful weekend!
@@IgnitedCoyote Thank you
Corbin has a noon siren daily. Not sure y a siren and not a bell but who knows
Awesome video 👍
I'm going to Harlan next weekend. See what all is going on.
My friend was manager when it was Holiday Inn. My girlfriend and I used to use the swimming pool often.
Hey Ignited Coyote and Mrs. Coyote we passed yall coming off the abandoned motel when we were coming home from church this morning wish I would have known it was yall we could have stopped and bought yall some lunch
Lived there back in my 20s
Most of the glass that was broken was because there was a fire and they where throwing out burnable items out the windows
Yes it was a Holiday Inn. My sister was a waitress in the dining room.
Holiday Day Inn from 1997 to 2002 when I worked at Corbin PD.
When I was little I stayed the night there with my parents during the murders and druggie around 2013. A few years after it got shutdown and in your video I saw a face around the corner 13:12
You go all the crazy places. Lol
Copper thieves cleaned it out . God bless y’all love the content to all your video’s thank y’all
I was just by that place an hour ago and could have driven up there.I looked up there and seen the old porch cover type shelter but someone should come in and tear that down and building new nice hotel would be a great spot.
I reckon their ain’t ah stick of copper left no whure .. lol
Nature does very well without people, it doesn't need us !
True!
I gave him a ride to Williamsburg at 5am the next morning , I was staying at the Econo Lodge working out of town and had no clue nothing about the guy , just ask me for a ride and I said hop in
Wow! That situation could have went bad so easily.
Got a suggestion for y’all. Consider buying a second microphone so we can hear Mrs C at the same volume as Mr. enjoy the content. Craig Scott 0:02
We've been looking for a microphone for her we can afford
I stayed there when there was a snow storm in 1998 or 1999. It had a heated pool
That woman from Evarts that stood on the road might be there watching you. 😅
LOL!
That place looks like it's going to fall down.
It used to be a Days inn in the 80s it's been a lot of time there was a kid that used to have a restaurant and a pool on the side you guys can't get through
I bet money there's not a pane of glass left in that place.
is this still there to explore?
Yes it is
Okay thank we will check it out soon.
Really ashamed all these hotels/motels Holiday Inn's lol.. they could be repurposed.
Oh my!!!!!!!
I think being the mountains I'd be on the look out for a bear that might make the motel it's home ( den with a view ) LOL LOL
I am a mason thats a lot of brick that would have been one of hell of a job site like thats a 6 months if not a year of work.
I'll never understand why when a hotel closes down that they just leave everything behind! Why don't they sell it or auction it off!
Sturdy brick structure. Is it for sale?
Man I never heard this story. Lol
You did bring a gun right? You could run into anyone I-75 right there and people 👍 for a ride on that part of I-75 a lot. I am from Michigan I know how far I-75 gos I been to Florida many times. If you don't have a truck do not pick up riders. I say truck because they can ride in the back.
Both of us are trained and prepared to deal with such things. You're absolutely right about hitchhikers!
YEE...FN...HAW !!!!!
And the city of Corbin will not do nothing about it
My team has been there numerous times . ParaScience Investigations of Ky .
Must have been some real quality back in the day with that Waffle House at the bottom of the hill.
