Like you say, these chases can and do sometimes end very badly so your statement should read: "we owe a debt of gratitude to our officers who risk *everybody's* lives in these chases"... During any pursuit, both motorists and pedestrians can easily be killed.. In some cases, people in their own houses, sitting on their recliner or children playing in their yard can become victims of a fleeing suspect or pursuing lawman going out of control and crashing... In this particular pursuit, look how easily an unsuspecting person walking into a store could have been struck and killed right from the get go as the suspect vehicle rounded one of those turns at over 50mph... I'm not harping on or condemning the police, I want these rubbish humans who flee from the pigs to be caught just as much as the officers themselves but sometimes is it really worth it in the end? Pursuits always have an unknown ending and while they are exciting to watch, listen to, and participate in, is the risk really worth it in most cases? Aw man, I'm from Virginia and was out in Polaris(Westerville) for work last month. Polaris parkway is like a "gem" suburb. There were so many places to eat within a 1/4 mile of my hotel, I got back home and was mad.
People. who ether can’t hear or see the flashing lights and sirens of emergency vehicles or don’t I’ve way should not be allowed to drive period! They are a danger to everyone on the road!
sometimes its not that. they can hear they just dont know where because that sound can be coming from the opposite direction they are thinking. but other than that, people are deaf and act like they dont hear cops on their ass.
Totally agree with you. Some people have their damn earbuds stuck in their goddamn head and they won't hear it. But some people do hear but when the cops are coming to an intersection at 90 mph on the streets it can be a bit tricky. Regardless you should always be clearing intersections when you come to them.
It's always the ones that have no business being in the passing lane in the first place. If you aren't passing a vehicle move over to the right as far as you can go. This shit isn't rocket science. Maybe if the highway patrol would focus on enforsing this rather than handing out speeding tickets the roads might flow a bit better here and they wouldn't have to worry about dumbasses like the Maroon Sienna and have to make a dangerous shoulder pass.
No need to worry, you will be one of those person sooner than you think🤯
They cant see an 80,000 pound semi with lights on blowing an airhorn as they suddenly swerve from the far left because they're about to miss their exit. You think they're going to notice a tiny in comparison cop car even with lights and sirens?

Out of the whole video, that was also what surprised me the most. Had to check when this video was made to see if it was from a distant past when gas was under $3.
I see Delaware County ordered all of the Dodge Charger Pursuit packages without the HEMI V8. That suspect was so far ahead of that cop it was ridiculous. Plus I could tell by that weak V6 exhaust note.
And can we PLEASE get these people off the road permanently? I'm talking about the same ones you think I'm talking about. What TF were those people doing inside their car to where they didn't see flashing lights AND hear a siren coming up behind them? You don't even need to use that much of your field of vision. You should see that coming up behind you even if you're looking straight ahead and don't look up at your rearview. That really irked my nerves. Then some of them all the way to the left with all of the right lanes empty too. Smh throw the whole driver away.
That cop car might be slow but the radio is pretty fast.

C'mon Columbus, we need a mustang in the vehicle arsenal. Those big SUV's can handle the turns.
Can you imagine Columbus having a Mustang and a Camaro or maybe a Corvette chasing their runners? We have Chargers here in South Carolina…here in the city of Gaffney we have 4 Ford Explorers (some call them expeditions when they aren’t) and we have 2 Charges which kicks ass for a Chrysler product….
So they can spin them out on every turn?🤣

I’m wondering…. Are the people of Columbus and surrounding are knowledge of the laws when it comes to police chases and the proper driving techniques as to the laws? I’m watching thru the lens of police car dash cams and I think the drivers are really ignorant with it comes to procedures…. They look so confused when they see and hear lights and sirens coming up behind them…the one cop has to drive in the shoulder because the driver doesn’t understand what he’s/she’s to do…it’s in the drivers manual and on the test…it looks like the Columbus police has to eventually jump in to end this god forsaken race….we owe a debt of gratitude to our officers who risk their lives for these chases that could sometimes end really really bad….

@@72sat360 Yep, my sentiments exactly! I live in Columbus & there are so many entitled/inconsiderate drivers here!
