I don’t know how the police resist the temptation to ram the fleeing car. Maybe it’s different when you’re actually there pursuing, but I just find myself thinking that I’d want to smash that car just in case the suspect thinks I’m not serious.

I live in Ohio and travel the freeways frequently in the Marysville Columbus and Delaware areas. I've seen some Police chases a few times. I don't know why anyone runs from the Cops. They will catch you. It just makes the consequences of your actions 10x worse.

I live in Ohio and travel the freeways frequently in the Marysville Columbus and Delaware areas. I've seen some Police chases a few times. I don't know why anyone runs from the Cops. They will catch you. It just makes the consequences of your actions 10x worse.
Why do all these police chases never reveal what the suspect is being chased for, or if for a traffic violation, what is their underlying motive for fleeing?
