@@SSW939 at that point, it would be just as common as any other traffic stop, and we would hope just like its happened in the past. The cop is better trained and able to eliminate the threat. He's simply making a point about the fact this could have been stopped 19.9 miles back with the same outcome regardless of any weapons.

As a Ohio resident im so embarrassed.. we need Arkansas State Police to train are law enforcement officers on how to deal with these criminals.
ASP is the gold standard. They don't mess around.
This isn’t a training issue it’s a policy issue. Write to your governor to change how police handle traffic stops like it and provide supporting evidence of effective working policies at other agencies for them to compare. Citizens in some states are more litigious than in others, which may make some agencies work very differently to avoid being sued. Their compensation scheme may also be insufficient for vehicle wreckages. Arkansas has a generous compensation scheme but, it does leave residents paying out of pocket expenses for long periods until the payout is made.
I agree and totally understand where you're coming from. I also feel for the police officers, I'm sure they are equally embarrassed.

In sylvania we have a no pursuit policy due to how busy it is. If for some reason we get into a pursuit we just follow the car unless they are really dangerous.

I'm from Cincinnati....they do it differently. They shoot...tires, windows, whatever it takes. If the suspect survives...then they arrest them.

I hate restrictive PIT Policies. That police officer had plenty of opportunities especially when there was no traffic and open fields on each side.
That’s exactly what this is. Citizens frequently blame officers in ignorance. The officers can or can’t P.I.T. based on the agency’s policies. It’s frustrating for officers and citizens alike.

They didn’t need to do a pit stop that’s just a feeble excuse they could of blocked him in and slowed him down to a stop and yes it could easily have been done on the “pursuit” instead of the clown 🤡 show they put on!
They had him blocked in so many times they could have stopped him with little to no damage on either side. This is one of the dumbest chases I’ve ever seen.

@@frobnomthere were a few moments where speed was up enough to attempt PIT...oftem times there's just too many other vehicles/pedestrians in general area that make it too potentially dangerous.

Frobnom, PIT wasn't needed...they could have slowed down to crawl, surrounding perp between concrete barriers on either side is the point.

At 6:48 p.m., a Perrysburg officer tried to initiate a traffic stop on Fremont Pike in Perrysburg. Wright’s green Subaru SUV can be seen rolling through a stoplight near the I-75 entrance.
As the officer began pursuing him, other cars joined the more than 20-mile pursuit. In Perrysburg Township, the Subaru went off the road and through backyards and front yards. He then led officers down State Rt. 199, onto Roachton, and eventually to the northbound I-475 entrance on State Route 25.
At that point, a Rossford officer deployed spikes, puncturing a tire. Wright was able to accelerate to close to 80 mph before his tire began to shred and his speed dropped to 20 mph, according to reports.
On I-475, officers boxed him in, but he pushed a vehicle aside. Perrysburg dashboard footage showed the Subaru striking or brushing several vehicles before it exited I-475 at Airport Highway.
Eventually, the pursuit led to the Monarch Meadows subdivision in Sylvania Township. Several troopers and Sylvania Township officers were waiting in the development, suspecting he was headed to his home.
On the bodycam of a Sylvania Township officer, sirens can be heard wailing in the background as one officer asked if they should get out of the roadway. The other officer responded that he was only going 20 mph. Then the Subaru rolled past, followed by a parade of vehicles from OSHP, the sheriff’s department and Perrysburg.
This chace is a big joke. They should have ended this a long time ago by just blocking him in. These cops have no clue what they are doing.
What's their TVI/PIT policy? Was this long drawn out and exhaustive chase even necessary? They may need tips from ASP, GSP, FHP, or similar.

Would love to know why a PIT was not executed since they were going so slow or why they didn't box him in and force him to stop. Was it all rookies on duty that day? Did they believe he was armed? What do they consider low speed? I figured 20-25 mph. This was faster than that. They could have pitted him rather than follow him all over. Like LA, they go round and round for hours and wait for them to run out of gas. Crazy. Should have pulled in front of him diagonally and stopped, blocking him from getting around them when he was going slowly. He wouldn't have been able to get around the cruiser with the cement barricades.

At 2:04 a red truck pulled by the cars who had pulled over. I guess he did not know that the law requires that a driver pull over when on a two-lane road and an emergency vehicle is coming your way.

When i began this video , it was partly cloudy and boxing him in looked promising . After trying to steer their cars for them the same way Fred Flintstone bowls shouting "get in front of him with 2 cars and STOP" right where the road narrowed at the bridge . I sorta lost interest and dozed off .
Left the volume on and when i came to , there was no sun and all clouds !!
