This band deserves much more recognition than they got, truly unique sound out of LA scene in the early days of the 80s metal scene and Dave R.I.P, was so underrated
You know it. Dave was able to cover and switch between the rhythm and melody sections like no other-look how he mixes it up on "Human Vulture", he's basically doing the work of two guitarists and it sounds absolutely amazing.
I knew these "kids" when they were just making it. (I was a local rocker just ten years before them) The loss of Dave Prichard was a heart break. Play on.
John Bush is THE man, what a voice, clean, clear and high to this day, awesome. Been into this band since their early 80's EP and they have never disappointed. New album is killer.
Bush is awesome and we know it. With that in mind, Joey is such an awesome bassist (also plays with Fates Warning). When top metal bass players are mentioned, Joey's name is never mentioned. He is so fucking overlooked!!
Damn! They haven’t aged a bit, he still got the voice and they sound like they did over 30 years ago, Heavy Metal will definitely keep them from aging.
John Bush's voice is still amazing. A tip for the editor. when there's a solo being played, show the guitarist playing it. Not the other guitarist or a crowdsurfer being pulled over the barricade.
Man this guys voice just does not age. I saw AS back in the late eighties in San Pedro California and he sounds as good now as he did back then. John Bush always delivers!
Armored Saint has always been bad ass....Raised in Pasadena I had the pleasure of seeing these guys at backyard keg parties and at Perkins Palace with Malice, Sin..and Oden......J. Bush still has the one of the best voices in metal. Awesome memories. RIP David Pritchard
Bam Bamm I had my 79 pinto wagon that I got for 100 bucks...my stereo cost me more when I threw it in....good ol days....oh yeah and gas was like 90 cents a gallon
I concur gentlemen..."Santa Claus" brought me "Raising Fear" for Christmas in 1987 (cassette of course). Loved it. Soon after I saw "The Hell on Wheels " tour with AS and Helloween opening for Grim Reaper. Life was never the same after that.
@@anthonymartinez8190 I love Walls of jericho. Brings me back to summers in my room going through my collection couldnt wait to get a new album. Got omen and Halloween same day!!
@@shawnbruce6934 Something. The dude is literally still in his vocal PRIME... as he approaches 60. That's impressive enough for an average singer but a power singer? I can't name another guy that's pulled that off.
Got to say I think John Bush is the best of the early 80s metal singer still around today. He sounds the same and hasn't changed the way he sings. Not only does he hit all the notes but he almost sings them as they were on the records (phrasing is near perfect). Besides he always he had a killer voice for metal.
Bazzo Smyth Well, he‘s still great, but your comparison doesn‘t include the difficulty of the songs. Bush doesn’t have to go into the extreme highs that much for example. The songs he is singing are far easier to sing than almost every Maiden song and many Priest songs.
While that's true, it would be safe to say that Bush was the best for his particular style-every style has their heroes and John Bush was definitely the man then and he's the man now!
Long time fan of Armored Saint ! 30 years and counting ! They are absolutely killing it live ! Good on ya mates ! Ps. My 9year old says “That Deadpool guy can sing dad .” I’m dying of laughter !
Passion! You gotta believe in your own music! That makes it much more enjoyable to watch too! Bravo Armored Saint. Been a fan since the beginning. Wait for it...27:43.
JOHN AND THE BOYS HAVEN'T LOST A STEP IN 40 FUKKIN' GLORIOUS YRS OF ARMORED SAINT MAGNIFICENCE!! VERY IMPRESSIVE FOR A BUNCH OF GUYS IN THEIR 60S, LIKE ME!!!
One of the most underappreciated bands out there. Been following them for over 35 years and have never been disappointed. The only Anthrax album I own is when Jon Bush fronted them.
Grest show!! Such a tight band and John's voice is amazing. The new album is absolutely amazing and every bit as strong as anything they have put out over the years.
They absolutely killed it🤘💞🤘 Awesome performance! Holy fuck his vocals absolutely mind-blowing! so much power still! Bar none one of the greatest metal singers period!!still to this day😮
Oh man! We’re all kids again here. I was there at the beginning for this amazing band. I can still remember Dave and the guys handing out flyers for shows at my High School. Seeing them at Troubadour on a weeknight no less. Eating burgers with Dave (RIP) at Ricks Burgers, Watching them record their intro tape at Pedrini’s Music for the Perkins Palace gig! Seeing them rehearse the sword fight show intro at Auntie Em’s and finally seeing them absolutely KILL IT! at the show! I’ve always felt a special place for them in my heart as an LA kid. It’s taken too long for them to get the respect they deserve. I was so glad when I heard Jeff was part of the fold! He fit perfectly and to have Phil bring it all back home. This just throws me back and makes me so happy sitting here in Covid isolation!!!
Oh MAN! The original lineup (save for Dave Earl Pritchard, God rest his soul) and John Bush sounds like he did nearly 40 years ago when March of The Saint first came out. Thanks so much for posting this for us long timers (aka the 50-somethings who wore our denim and leather proudly long before most of the people in this crowd were born.) Keep kickin' out the jams, John!
Holy Shit. I haven't thought about this band since that Metallica/Armored Saint/Raven show at the Arcadia in Dallas. What a fking time to be young!!!! Hell yeah!!!!
Every metal band should have a spot in their roster that says: Bass: Reserved for Joey Vera If he hasn't played with them already, he probably will. Can't blame 'em though. He's a great player.
Fucking A. I've loved Armored Saint like forever. Way under rated. They should have the fame Metallica has. I was fortunate to have met Dave Pritchard in 1988 when they opened for MSG. RIP
John Bush is one of the greatest metal vocalists of all time.
Goddamn right
I was just saying that to my buddy the other day. He's got to have one of the coolest voices in metal.
Hell Yeah he is!!!
The greatest, actually
Criminally underrated singer.
This is one of the few lead singers that sounds as good today as he did back in the day. These guys continue to kick ass.
yeah..... Armored Saint can still deliver!
John Bush is a national treasure.
Saint rocks rocks rocks love watching there shows
Awesome band bring back the 80 s

One of the truest and most serious metal bands in the world!
Always loved Bush's vocals and vocal style
You couldn't ask for John Bush's voice to sound any better than it does here. Big time respect for the man. The band put on an absolutely killer show!
BTW BUSH is one of best leads all time!
His vocal vibrato is as good as Dio, this guy has some freakin' pipes, this band certainly was not a 80's hair band!
my 2 bands growing up were saint and flotsam and jetsam, 2 most criminally underrated bands ever
Fully Agree! Two Musical Greats! 🤘🤘🤘
Amen Mike Straley
What a band, what a performance! Long live the saint! ❤️
It's amazing how faithful the band is to performing live music over recordings, it seems like I'm listening to the CDs themselves.
no kidding especially the vocals . spot on !!!
John Bush sounds as good as ever. What a singer.
PURE HEAVY METAL, LONG LIVE METAL. 80, 90, 2000, 10, 2020.
Fuck! This post made me realize that I've been a part of the metal "scene" throughout just short of 5 decades. 1987 til I get planted in the ground.
Armored Saint has survived without the deserved airplay and they still keep producing great rock music.. Thank you Armored Saint ✌✌
And still kicking arse with great awesome new album
Holy sh#t!!! John Bush' voice is TIGHT! Great singer and frontman! AS are killin' it!

I'm 51....keeps me fucking going....in the gym still grabbing 130lb plus dumbells
jhon bush..still the voice..armored saint never fades..💥
Love to see the old school still bringing that heat 💪
They sound really good.
With just a few guys from the 80s slam pits would've turned that crowd into a blood bath!!!
Can you eat liver !!!!
I HAD THE CASSETTES OF MARCH, DELIRIOUS NOMAD, RAISING FEAR...1984 to 1986... I LOVE A.S. FOREVER!!!
In the 80s we bought, stole, recorded, and traded, music was as rare as gold 🥇,till the Internet fucked it all up,glad I'm a 80s brat
Still got their albums from back in the days, awesome band still
John, was invited to sing on Metallica, Anthrax, amazing singer, powerfull and clean vocals and high notes.
the best albums Anthrax ever put out were the ones with John!
BEST HARD ROCK/METAL LIVE PERFORMANCE IVE SEEN IN YRS!!! JOHN BUSH IS A VOCAL GOD!!!
John Bush's voice is still amazing. A tip for the editor. when there's a solo being played, show the guitarist playing it. Not the other guitarist or a crowdsurfer being pulled over the barricade.
Check out their latest single "End of the Attention Span".
Their new cd punching the sky is sick.
John vocals on Sound of White Noise by Anthrax 🎙🎸🏆👏
Man this guys voice just does not age. I saw AS back in the late eighties in San Pedro California and he sounds as good now as he did back then. John Bush always delivers!
I saw them in Pedro too at the Waters Club. Pritchards last show on NYE.
Legends of Heavy Metal. A dream for Metalheads!!!
Saw em 9o twice, once with suicidal, then Megadeth, their melodies and harmonies are transporting
Aged like good wine & whisky!

Man, you're one lucky guy to have had that experience, definitely something to remember!
Wow,how about Lizzy Borden,Omen,Warlord,&Abattior?lived thru that scene.starting freshman H.S.?seems as tho it was a couple summers ago?

Vastly underrated band. Armored Saint is awesome!.
True metal legends! Takes me back to my high school days, blasting 'Saints Will Conquer' on the way school in my dad's '78 Park Avenue.

I can´t heard John Bush without remebering The Sound of White Noise from Anthrax.
His voice keeps singular and he stills rocking!
One of my favourite Bands. Bush is one of the best metal Singers
One of the best bands to come out of LA, should have been bigger. Still sound as good as in the early 80’s . RIP Prichard
John Bush is such a great singer!
How can his voice be so good after all these years? It defies human biology
It's mind blowing still🤘😮🤘
He's taken Really Good Care of Himself.

Yeah, he's great but he's probably done less than 5% of the live shows the other bands you mentioned have done, so his voice is still the same.
@@PazBinv1very good observation
Always a great band. From the beginning.
Possibly the most underrated metal band ever, this guys deserved to big huge!
