    It's important to remember that if you measure an angle, and then use the same measuring device to get your angle on the tube, it doesn't matter if the device is off. So be sure to use that little angle finder in the car and on the tube and your safe.

    Seriously, pipe is perfectly acceptable. It even says pipe on the base plate of the device! Great review and good work on the mods! 😎👍

      No.. pipe and tubing are very different things. Pipe is measured from inside diameter and tubing from the outside. Pipe is never used in automotive applications. He used tubing.

    Could that jib also be used with square tubing?

    Lennox hole saw blades have a lot of space between the teeth. If you use Milwaukee hole saw blades they are finer tooth-wise. That is from a plumber that used a hole hawg for a number of years drilling wood.

    I’m really bad at measuring for some reason, so I do all my mock ups with pvc and just transfer over to metal when I’m exactly where I want to be. Takes longer, but saves me money sort of? 😆

      That's a good idea! I'm in the midst of swapping a briggs flathead on a pocket bike and had to cut the frame! I think I'm gonna try and make a mock up out of PVC! 🤟

    Ok I have a stupid question, how do you pick what size hole saw do you buy ?
    I would imagine if you have 1 3/4” pipe that is the size saw you want is that correct ?

    • @LucidAutowerks
      @LucidAutowerks  3 місяці тому +1

      Yup. You want the hole saw to match the OD of the tubing that you’re using or connecting to.

    Wd-40 really isn't all that good for cutting. You might be able to squeeze a little more life out of the hole saws with actual cutting oil/fluid. Cleaning it off shouldn't be too hard with some carb cleaner or kerosene.
