excellent informative detailed veido..thats, actually step by step helpful 🤷🏿♂️...make more on the Chevy g20 van.. and you are appreciated, thanks for the help
I have the same van. First it was a delayed start. crank a few times then start. Then it got harder to start. Lots of cranks then start. then had to use starting fluid. Now no start a all. what would create a progressive no start situation? I know it isn't fuel or it would start with ether so why has the spark gone away?
well u gonna start with the basic spark fuel air ..hows the spark is it strong enough how about the spark plug maybe its too old ..how about the fuel u can check it by using a pressure gauge hows the reading while cranking and while car is running ...how about air check ur air filter may be its dirty
so we have a orange 12 v wire to the ecm for injectors this wire become weak corroded and then we have electronic fuel pump in tank, may check for cliking sound on the pump, and then look at injectors spray...
Its a 4.3L v6, if it has spark then pour a little fuel in the TBI intake to see if it starts and see if it keeps running with a steady stream of fuel, then u kno its a fuel issue
Ima go head in leave a comment here sir it’s on 04 Honda Civic the car with crank and start ok I let it warm up then I cut it off in try to crank it back it turns over but won’t start up so I done the fuel pump brand new then I put the scanner tool on it it gave me a code crank shaft position sensor intermittent what ever that means my thing the crank shaft sensor is brand new any suggesting thanks sir hope u having a good day
Focus on the crankshaft position sensor usually thats 3 wire i had a video of how to check crank or cam shaft position sensor without using scope ...check my mitsubishi galant video i did show there how to check ur camshaft its the same with the crankshaft
PLEASE READ: Seems I had the same issue. I replaced the cap and rotar then jumped it. Fired up better then before but dies because, when I now gas the pedal nothing happens. Like nothing, like my gas pedal is broken or something

This is a old video but here goes. I have a '95 g20. That motor is a 350 v8. Has a throttle body. 2 injectors. Spray starter fluid through the top of air cleaner. Take lid off first ...duh. Turn key . If it wants to start , it's the fuel pump. Fuel pump is in the gas tank. Drop tank to get to fuel pump. If starter fluid doesn't work...no spark. Clean contacts in the distributor cap. Try that. Check 10 amp fuse in the fuse box . Label...ECM. Good luck
Everything u said is right thing to do but as a mechanic we already know that fuel pump is culprit in here i just wanna confirm if the fuel pump is getting power to activate it before i conclude its the fuel pump ..cuz what if u replace the fuel and the car wont start what will be our next step so the very first thing as for me in diagnosing this king of issue is that check power and ground first...but again u can go directly to fuel if that what u prefer
Not really... we still need to check power that activate ur fuel pump cuz even we put new fuel pump and it has no power to activate it car will still not gonna start ..but ur right fuel pump is the culprit in this video..watch the 2nd and 3rd part i did replace the fuel pump
again my brother i know the culprit is the fuel pump i just wanna make sure i i got the right call by checking the power and ground and also i had this prodemand apps that i can look at for the wiring diagram to make sure 100% im checking the right wire without guessing and replacing parts with no error and some cars fuel pump has quite sounds when activate and as for this car no idea
It’s a small block Chevy. It’s not getting fuel. Glad I went to comments so I wouldn’t have to watch all this to find out you didn’t get it started. Weak battery, 20 min vid, can’t bust open a fuel line (most all of these year models you can’t even put a pressure gauge on them)
awesome vid man.. i have a G20 as well and this is a great learning video. thank you for taking the time to upload it.
Glad it helped

fuel lines can pull them off see if it blasts off with gasoline everywhere then u know pump works

waiting for the fuel pump
Asian Mechanic Guy is the by pass relay connects to anything ?
Also do the gas & line needs to be cleaned before changing fuel pump?
@@siomakahele it directly connected to fuel pump

Just spray starting fluid in the carb. If it starts buy a new fuel pump
