Im having this issue rn on my 2009 chevy Silverado no crank or start with key fob but with a jumper wire it does crank over but still no start any info on that
If you've got to set a jumper cables, you can take One end of the cable And put it on the ground side on your battery and in the other end of that cable and put it on your engine block somewhere and see if it improves.
You saved me a starter!!! I was about to buy a starter and replace it myself, but I had a feeling it wasn't the starter. I could still be wrong, but it was a slow crank condition, still cranked every time. First I tried replacing the battery, which I would normally regret wasting the money but I bought this at 300k miles and never replaced the battery since I got it so its alright, good investment. I was gonna check if maybe cleaning the negative cables might help but didn't want to waste time, tried your trick with the jumper cables and ground, and it's starting like normal again! Even after I stopped using the jumper cable it's starting better. So now my plan is to just leave it as is and using the cables if it starts acting up lol. Hoping the starter doesn't go bad 😂 @@NobleAutomotive
Can someone help, the starter is not working on the car battery, it cranks once or twice , called roadside assistance, the starter starts on their jump starter (which is stronger than car battery) , saying that the starter is taking too much power than it should, plus the starter has slow cranking speed, so they are saying pretty much its the starter, whats your experience or advice if u had similar experience? Im worried ill change the starter but wont fix it
It sounds like a battery with a bad cell. If the starter works fine with the battery being jumped, then the only thing that has changed is the jumper battery being introduced. How old is your battery?
@@Razz-es9qw it was the starter motor, consuming alot of electricity, only a strong jump starter that starts a truck was able to start it, so changed the starter and everything is fine now
Nice to see a mechanic that actually knows how to use a voltmeter instead of just reading codes and swapping things at random until it's fixed.
Thank you
Oh wow, that helps a lot. Geez, intelligent video. Thank you for posting!
@@CanuckTony Thank you.

Possibly a bad ground to the starter or trashed solenoid / relay , take it out and bench test it
I’ve a 4.3l v6. Starts well cold but as the jeep heats up, it slow starts. Thinking battery or ground.

How do I contact you about doing work?
A goid idea is to fit a digital volt meter in the vehicle so you can see what its charging rate at all times. Essy to fit as well. 🇬🇧
I like the USB chargers with the Volt meter. goes into your cigarette lighter
@@NobleAutomotive I put in the same thing but it's a hard wired unit. 🇬🇧
