This beautiful lady is breaking my heart. You can see it in her eyes that she wishes she had never encouraged Maggie to go to Moselle that day. There is no way she could have ever predicted or known, what was going to happen when her sister got there. She's carrying a cross on her own shoulders that she doesn't deserve to bear. It's more than obvious how much she loved Maggie and Paul. Listening to her testimony about her sister and Paul gave those of us who didn't know them, some insight in to a side of them not often talked about in the media. I can't imagine losing either of my siblings or my nieces or nephews at all, let alone in such a brutally horrific way. Her sister seems really sweet and I hope that her and her family get justice for the deaths of Maggie and Paul.
@@carolyngenc5329 I'm the oldest of seven and my biggest fear is that one or more of my siblings could precede me in death. This happened to one of my grandmas and it was hard on her. My other grandma was the youngest of 8 and all of her older siblings died before her. Both of these scenarios are difficult to cope with. None of us get a choice. We just have to deal with the fallout the best that we can.
@@vickyabramowitz2885 I miss my siblings every day of my life. Sometimes I see something or hear something and think I must tell a sister or brother. And then I remember. I have friends and family but it's different. I have had a good life but it was better.
I’m sure he would have found another opportunity to kill his wife and son. If she would have stayed at the beach house that evening..he would have just planned a different time for the murder. One he decided they were going to die..it was just a matter of time and place.
Definitely. Marian is so kind and humble. Even though they are extremely wealthy. I googled Marian Proctor. She and her husband are worth many millions. They sold their home for 6 million. I so appreciate her testifying on Maggie’s behalf. I know wealthy people in our area and are friends with many and most are hard working and wonderful parents. Like most of us, they started out with nothing and just worked hard. I definitely think Alex is 100% guilty. I have 2 theories- 1. He wanted sympathy to give him more time to come up with money to pay off his financial crimes. 2. Maggie was worth 5 million on her own, so he needed her money to pay off his debts. And Maggie had this sister as the executor of her will but Alex used a pen and changed it to his name, which was so obvious! Even after he used the pen, anyone could read it still said Marian Proctor.
Maggie was a narcissistic POS who allowed her sons (especially Paul) to rule and reign over others and never held him accountable for his horrible actions. Just like the situation with the boat tragedy. Maggie and Alex both came to the hospital that night with the intent to intimidate the other young people who were on the boat, tried to place the blame on another young man for driving the boat. They were horrible parents and raised a couple of monsters. All you have to do is see the documentary to find out how Alex and Maggie were not decent, nice people.
@@bbe3034 In December 2021 Marion was on the will & denounced herself, for her reason to my knowledge has not been said. When Marion denounced herself, John Marvin was listed with Marion’s approval as executor of Maggie’s will. I am definitely not defending Alex as the murderer, he’s guilty as sin.
How was" he misrepresented in the media" when we saw and heard his behavior via videos? His friends said he hit and spat in the face of his girlfriend. He willing risked lives by driving the boat while completely DRUNK ! What am I missing? Yes, he is an innocent victim of this murder, but I am confused about how "amazing" of a person he was. Not trying to cause issues here, but ...not understanding.
@@Elizabeth-wz4nh seems like Paul acted the same way around his parents. There are plenty of videos and photos that have been released of Alex drinking with Paul, and way before he was an adult much less legal to drink. I think some of the time people act different around other adults in their family or life, not so much parents. Parents get to see both sides of their child, the positive parts and the negative.
Not to mention after the crash happened and the police were on the scene, Paul stood and laughed at Mallory’s boyfriend/his own friend until he snapped on him and started yelling to the officer to get Paul away from him. The audio was published and they included it in the Murdaugh Murders podcast.
And Maggie seemed a bit sheltered perhaps. I never aspired to be a taken care of, stay at home mom so I seriously cannot relate at all to that mentality. To me it seems dangerous almost as if you're putting your own safety and life and financial well being into your husband's hands which puts undue pressure on him. Meanwhile her parenting skills didn't seem to be above par for that matter either. Maggie, I guess, did things however with the boys, but sounds like she didn't get involved with any other civic, social, church, pillar of society or go to the gym type activities. May she RIP.
I've heard from many that Maggie never (like seriously, not once) disciplined the boys. She'd tell them they were Murdaughs and therefore were above everyone else and could do anything they wanted. I'm not trying to bash the dead, just stating what others who knew then have said.

It must play in her head day and night "If only I has not told her to come back". I know that's what I would be thinking. @@mortalclown3812 That's because Paul wasn't a good kid. And everyone keeps calling him a kid. I feel badly for Maggie's sister, however, she described Maggie's life as not lavish but comfortable. I would definitely say any person that has three homes (worth several millions), designer clothes, purses, a housekeeper, and tens of thousands of dollars worth of guns as a lavish life. She may have lived in a small town but she didn't even cook the dinners or clean the dishes, sheesh. I hope that time will ease her loss.

This kind soul.... if her sister Maggie was anything like her plus everything that's been described, then truly we have lost an angel on earth. This crime is even more heinous than we'd originally thought.
People are rarely angels, but it's not even the point. (And I'm not saying Maggie wasn't terrific.) It's simply that people are just human and deserve the right to live out their lives without running across the likes of Alex Murdaugh.
It should matter if someone is kind and sweet or if they’re a hermit that smokes crack, nobody deserves to be gunned down like a dog by anyone, especially their spouse.

She said Paul was mistreated??? He got drunk, drove a boat recklessly, killed someone and then laughed about it afterwards. This lady paints him as the victim of the boat incident. What messed up people.
People can have multiple faces, even serial killers can go back to their families after murdering someone and act like amazing fathers/mothers, brothers and sisters.
THANK YOU! She said the boat wreck was an “accident” It wasn’t an accident. I feel for this lady but I don’t understand why she is excusing Paul’s behavior and choices.
At this point I'd have to vote no. For murder they havnt proven it beyond a reasonable doubt yet. Financial crimes yup guilty. Murder hasn't proven it imo
Yes. I would convict after hearing her testimony. " Whoever did this thought about it for a long time." Alex Murdaugh to Marian Procter. And she puts both Maggie and Paul there per Alex request.
Maggie went home thinking that Mr. Richard was gonna b at Almeda when she got there..by the time she got home he was already gone to the hospital. She didn't like going to Almeda anyway simply because of Mrs. Libby's condition, but was going on the strength of seeing her father in law who was rushed to hospital after she arrived, hence Alex went by himself. People hear what they want to hear and have already convicted this man with no clear physical evidence, only theories!
@@tommycoyote3258 That is not evidence that he did it. It could mean so many different things like the shooter(s) revenge of the boating incident from years before .I dont think the prosecutors have a solid case so far. The motive is weak and invalid in my common sense. All the witnesses testified that Maggie & Alec had a good relationship, to the point of him 'adoring' her and his sons. The only thing they have linking him to the crime scene, is the bullets at the scene that match up to 2 of the weapons the Murdaugh's had at that property. The cell records cannot prove exactly what time the shootings occurred, and being that they were each shot from 2 different weapons suggest there may have been 2 shooters, how did he shoot them both around the same time with 2 diff weapons? It seems that Paul was the target and Maggie was in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Yep I thought so too. Did you notice the look on Alec’s face as the court cam panned on him after she made that statement. I’ll bet he was feeling like his blood had turned to ice in his veins at that point. And you know the jury saw the look on his face too. The look of “oh crap i shoulda thought to act frightened…now they’re all gonna know why I didn’t”. I thought he had the look of a kid who had just been caught with his hand in the cookie jar…”guilty”.
He seems like one of those MANY fake lawyers that act like they care about clients but really only care about the ridiculous check they get from the lawsuit settlement.
Alex told her Maggie didn't suffer ! According to pathologist dr. who did autopsy, the fourth shot through kidney area would have been very painful. . How would he know she didnt suffer, if he wasnt there!!!!??
Different dogs 🐶 Different allergies 🤧 Different day - different bulls**t. So many lies have been told….. it’s heartbreaking to see what harm monster murdaugh has done in his community and to family and friends.
This is a very good question. I am under the impression Gloria Satterfield tripped on those 4-5 Steps leading to the front porch of the house. If someone was allergic to the dogs it wouldn’t make sense to allow the dogs that close to the house IMO.
Seems like a very nice person. And a devastating loss beyond comprehension for her and her family. But, a 'comfortable' life? This family are huge fish in a little pond...multimillionaires with many properties and luxurious hobbies very few people on the planet have. It illustrates how clueless people are who live with such wealth and privilege 🙄...
Unfortunately, I think whoever “thought about this for a long time” came to the conclusion that Maggie and Paul were the two most expensive liabilities. God keep both of their souls… They didn’t deserve what happened to them.

That's what I think happened! His house of cards was crumbling, all their status, influence, power were about to disappear, and he would disgrace his family's name and legacy (law firm over 120 yrs). In small town South, this is EVERYTHING. So he plans to kill his wife, son, and himself so that the remaining adult son can inherit the 10mill dollar insurance policy. But he has to stage the deaths to look like it wasn't suicide/his doing. This saves their reputation and allows the insurance to be paid out to Buster. The motive the prosecutor is suggesting is not credible.
Five years apart, not 7. I have 5 sisters. We are wild when we are together. We are very close, and age has never slowed us down. We are as crazy as adults as when we were teens. She will miss her precious sister. So tragic.
Heartbreaking to see her go through that testimony, she lost her sister and her nephew in a horrible murder. You can tell how much she loved her sister and nephew, how close they were as a family.
For the record - the boat crash wasn't an ACCIDENT, it was negligent homicide. Paul was under three felony charges at the time of his death. The parents were negligent in letting him use the boat knowing he was an underage alcoholic, and Buster was negligent by 'loaning' or otherwise allowing Paul to have his ID. Paul's blood alcohol level afterwards was almost 3 times the legal limit. THAT'S NOT AN ACCIDENT MARIAN, and no amount of weeping or making excuses will change that. Alex has been enabled by a LOT of people, his family included.
sorry, but the boat crash was NOT an accident. Paul's friends said he was very intoxicated and belligerent, and was going faster and faster until he hit a bridge pylon and a young girl was thrown from the boat, hit something and drowned.
Alex asked her to come back home to go see his father. but he went to see his mother ALONE, at a late hour, which didnt make sense because his mother is sleeping by then. and then insisted to the nurse that he was there LONGER than he was?
Maggie was a lovely person, Paul was kind and a hard worker. I am sorry for Marian Proctor's loss of her only sister and her nephew. Her parents were shocked, heart broken as well.
I am the youngest of 8 and the only one still living. Enjoy the company of your siblings while you are all together.
@@carolyngenc5329 I'm the oldest of seven and my biggest fear is that one or more of my siblings could precede me in death. This happened to one of my grandmas and it was hard on her. I’m sure he would have found another opportunity to kill his wife and son. If she would have stayed at the beach house that evening..he would have just planned a different time for the murder. One he decided they were going to die..it was just a matter of time and place.
Very well said and I think you speak for most of us ♥️🙏🏻♥️
Finally a voice for Maggie...she was a powerful witness...
Extremely powerful
Right. Spitting on people and calling women b1tches is a perfect representation of what he was because that's what he did
Kids always act differently when around people other than the parents .
Uh yeah
I don’t understand how these defense lawyers drilling down on very credible witnesses helps their case. I wanted him to just shut up 😂

This woman gives us an idea of what Maggie was probably like. A nice, decent person. This is such an epic tragedy.

She said they were 5 years apart and he says 7 years???? It might seem irrelevant but he doesn't need to come across as impersonal and incompetent.

At this point I'd have to vote no. For murder they havnt proven it beyond a reasonable doubt yet. Financial crimes yup guilty. Murder hasn't proven it imo
What evidence?
She said “Alex didn’t seem to be afraid.” That was the key of her testimony. I’m sorry for your loss.
Yep I thought so too. Did you notice the look on Alec’s face as the court cam panned on him after she made that statement. I’ll bet he was feeling like his blood had turned to ice in his veins at that point. And you know the jury saw the look on his face too.
