The 6.2 V8 was a great engine it’s a shame Ford discontinued it in 2022. I’ve seen plenty of them run over 300k with basic maintenance and these are in Superduty trucks that get worked a lot.
Yeah I agree I see a lot of county trucks come into my work and they have the 6.2 also and they all have 200k plus miles on them
Raptor is a beast! Ford does make the best trucks..
Big facts
No doubt
ive got 185K miles on my 2012 Raptor and it runs perfect. I love my truck. ❤
Yep my dads 2007 ford f150 sport such a beast 300k plus miles and loved that truck
Lol. He dumped thousands of dollars in repair😊
"I've had 0 problems with it, NONE....except a light, and an alternator....and a starter....that's it, oh wait, also had to have the tranmission rebuilt, like I said, not 1 issue"
Hahah still not bad
My favorite “modern” truck ever made
Me too
Gotta check the driveshaft slip yoke. 99% of the time that causes the low speed shake. Pull the drivshaft out and give it a load of grease on the splines every once in a while and you're good to go
I didn’t even think of that! I really appreciate it thank you brother 💪🏽🇺🇸
Will do thanks! Good idea
The first gen Raptors with the 6.2 are some of the best trucks ever produced imo. Doesn’t surprise me one bit that this one has 250k on it and still running like a new one. Those Roll Turd head rests would have to go tho. GO VOLS!!😳🤣🤣🏈🏈🏈
The 6.2 is such a beast they don’t die
Many of the Gen 1's with the 6.2L go beyond 300k without a rebuild. If you do need to rebuild 1 there's always the Livernois 6.6L stroker short block available. That combo will take 800-1000 HP all day long..
My daily driver to get groceries and transport kids, as evidenced by the kid trash in the truck. Great truck.
Awesome truck
I have a 2005 F150 triton and 216,000 miles and put a brand new transmission at 203,000 miles bought it when it had 134,000 miles on it just changed the alternator this year kept up with the oil had to change the AC unit two years ago still running strong
Hell yeah that truck is going strong
My pops has an 08 triton and I swear that thing could town a freight train. Told him to leave it to me in his will! 😂
Great review. Love My 2013 with 208k still Runs strong. Jump it daily def more than 200 times. Full send 90 mph any time I see fit. Never needed an alignment! Changing out the 16 plugs can be a pain. New wires and coils. No major issues at all. Still OG shocks. They are beast. I thought raptors were hype before I owned one. Owned many many other trucks. This one will stay in the family. The front posi and rear locker really dominates other trucks without tru 4x4 from factory when in sand mud. I don’t trust an eco boost. Give me a boss any day! Simple 5 star 93 performance tune helps too
That’s badass keep that truck going!!
I’m original owner of a 2010 251,000 miles on it zero problems, drive it every day. Highly recommend them.
That’s sick
我的raptor已经跑了130K,到目前为止没有任何问题。加油时,碰到一哥们说,raptor可以跑到500K没问题!
First 🎉
Ayyy my G 🫡❤️
This is the last bulletproof f150 we’ll probably ever see in our time. These Will go 300k ez
I agree
Hell yeah! my Uncle has a Roush Edition Raptor!
Those are sick
I'm in the process of purchasing a 11 Ford Raptor svt..They're my dream truck also. I currently have an 04 ford f150 triton 5.4 3v fx4 with 332k miles. Still going but I want that Raptor
@@bryantmention6898 hell yeah brother keep that truck going congrats on the raptor when you get it
Thanks and love the video Bro!
Thanks Lance
I bought my 2010 6.2 L
With 101,000 miles .
It now has 242,000 miles
Awsome gotta keep it going!
But the HDs need new engines like changing socks.
I had a 2011 Raptor SCAB with the 6.2 Liter, and it was Whipple Supercharged! Only 45k miles, and clean as a whistle. Sold it about a year ago, and I’m definitely regretting it 😢
Damn yeah shoulda kept that forever
@@ItalianStallion410 I bought a GT500 with the money, plus it helped fund my move from CO to AZ. I’m honestly planning on getting another, or perhaps an 03/04 Lightning - haven’t decided yet.
lol what I didn’t even know there’s a Raptor with 250K miles. Not because it’s not reliable, but Raptor owners baby their trucks and don’t rack up the miles all that much. This is awesome! I bought a 10 year/175K miles Ford extended Warranty for my 2023 Raptor and I fully intend to use every single one of those miles ✌🏼
@@whocaresjustdoit congrats on the raptor my dads Gen 2 had over 100 k when he sold it and my 2022 has over 33k on it
Awwww 4 door. I have the 2013 2 door production number 267nor close to that (need to look at papers) but ya last ticket was 147 kmh in a 100 electric blue
@@ChadLetourneaurhavoc nice
I have a 2013, I agree with him that these are the best wheels. I have the same ones and opted for these over the beadlocks. Everyone seems to want to put aftermarket wheels on them, but I've always loved the stockers on my 2013. Just hit 100K on it. Been an awesome truck. I intend to keep it until one of us dies. I love seeing people talk about their high mileage ones, even seeing some with over 350k. Makes me feel all that more confident about mind holding up for the rest of my life. Just have to take care of your stuff and it lasts a long time
Glad the truck is lasting you!
2010 isn't very retro...the Boss is the Best!
Yooooo brother 1st message in the house🎉have a good weekend my friend
Thanks brother
Video is useless. Dude hasn’t owned the truck thought the life. Only 20k.
My f250 had 155k when I sold it 😂 I guess you forgot about that one since you know everything huh
@@ItalianStallion410no. I don’t follow this channel. 155k…. That’s cute. Lets hear from someone that’s owned it for 250,000
@@Jasonn913 I didn’t know it was a competition who had the highest miles 😂 well if It makes you feel better I got a few work cars that been over 300k happy now
@@ItalianStallion410no your right it isn’t a competition. Guess the description of the video is off. “How reliable is the gen 1 raptor” lets ask a guy who’s owned it for 20k I wouldn’t think he would know how reliable it is or isn’t
@@Jasonn913 well that’s what I was talking about how does the overal truck feel to me coming from a new raptor vs a old one truck felt good for how many miles it had definitely felt like it had a lot more left in it
Gen 1s are the best next to the gen 3 raptor R
I agree 100%
243k on my 700HP Gen 1 Roush Raptor👍. Love it
Let’s gooo that’s awesome 🇺🇸🫡
My 2014 stage 2 roush has 135.. unfortunately I had to replace the transmission at 130... but dude... it's my fault.. 690 hp and I beat it and race it alot
@@Noah-dk8hv that’s still really good stock trans on a boosted truck
Tapped in...a lil late but
Respect you 🙏🏽❤️
Loving my Gen 1
I wish I got to own one when they first came out
Tough truck Man it will take on any of those trucks, with bolls hanging on the trailer hitch “” take care of them they will last , if you one you should give it a name main is name la Negra (Jeida) referred to her as “She”
Thank you for the video!
Always
I was not a pick up truck guy. I seen this raptor Gen 1 and fell in love with it. Now 3 Gen 1 total. Lol. Love it. My first one 6.2 has been driven to California and back to miami twice. One with a trailer moving one of my kids to CA. It has 238 k and I trust it to go to CA and back again. I got 2 raptor 6.2 and 1 Gen 1 raptor, 5.2. All are in great great condition. The other 6.2 barely has 98 k and 5.2 has 90k.
Enjoy that raptor...
Hell yeah brother I love to see it be safe out there on those long drives enjoy them raptors for me
sweet truck but definitely not old school
Old school to me
I love my 2014 raptor with 96k miles gets 13mpg
Gen 1 with V8 is a classic !!!!
I'm getting one. This video helped push me on in. I'm replacing a 2001 Silverado Z-71 w/ 5.3. That was a reliable, easy to work on truck, but the Raptor will be epic.
@@geomod6850 smart move raptor is the best way to go
yea i got mine 2 yrs ago, shes just now hit 120k good to know my gen 1 will make it to 250k+
got a foxbody too, def drive the raptor the most, damn near my daily, but i daily my dads sts v8 performance pkg (its basically the stsv without the blower)
That’s so sick!!
💪🏻
when the transmission starts doing that its time for a flush in my experience. i have 200k on my 5.4.. i put about 150k myself and its going on the third trans flush.
Thanks I’ll let him know !!
I’ve had a 2010 6.2 raptor for 12 years at 160k miles. Had power steering hose blow out in cold weather that was defective. Front seat warmer went out pretty quickly. Sun roof clogged up. Read camera can be finicky and is expensive. Had cracked radiator cooler that was defective. Had transmission slipping. Rear pinion bearing go out after towing a boat. AC blows ok cool, compressor needs changed. Spark plug job is a pain, 16 plugs 500$ job. Shocks are high, recommend them to be changed out every 50k. Front torsion bars had to be replaced cause they rattle like crazy. I keep it maintenance myself. It’s a good truck. Never stranded me. Just had a few things mess up. It’s a money pit. 12 mpg average unless you drive like a pa-jina 😂 then you’ll get 13 mpg. Most of my issues are common in it. It rides rough when going slow down city roads even with fresh shocks and struts and undercarriage work. This is just my experience with over a decade in the truck.
Damn you must have got a bad one
Oh yea and I’ve had to replace the front CV assemblies as they cracked. I bought the truck with 18k miles on it.
You should have the transmission learning reset. It will then learn your driving style. It will forget the years of towing.
Thanks I’ll tell him to do that
if u r driving a month car. better switcth it out
I was a 9 year old kid when these came out they were and are still the sickest truck ford ever did. I still want one to this day hopefully I can make it happen.
I agree ford hit a home run with them and you will takes time you’ll get it
185,000 on my 2014 raptor. Zero issues. I live in the rust belt and my truck is outside 24/7 I spray my truck several times a year with krown rust proof and fluid film. Zero rust . I use amsoil signature series oil. I am curious to see how long my engine will last.
That’s awesome keep it going
dude knew somebody was coming to film that truck and did no effort to clean the interior of the truck haha
Not at all he wanted me to film with his car and I said I rather film with the raptor nothing was planned I live only 10 hours away l lol
2011, 95k Miles, molten orange lava, extended cab:
BCM died and no replacement exists anymore - so e-bay and not that easy to re-programe it, all firmware had to be copied to new unit - so I bought 2 of them as backup for next time. Not only me who had issue with BCM.
Transmission is going to die, in low rpms kicks.
Back window doesn't work.
Bunch of cut cables between door and pillar.
Wheel bearing toasted.
CD player stop ejecting CDs.
High pressure hose from steering pump leaking (in all my Fords :D ).
Known issue with valve springs - they are to weak.
Known problem with fuel pump fuse.
Known problem with steering.
Third break light problem with weather seal, can cause issue with electronics.
Door keypad doesnt work.
Anyway ... I love the truck :)
That’s awesome
Except the Body Control Module and no available electronic parts ... damn you FORD. No more computers in a cars. :D@@ItalianStallion410
Thinking of selling my Dodge challenger for a black Gen 1 raptor (crew cab) with 92k miles. Love the Challenger, it’s a Pro-charged R/T that’s cammed, tuned and blacked out. Its got 69k on it. It’s really cool, but here in South Dakota it’s rough in the winter. Also, those Gen 1’s really hold their value it seems.
Yeah I would. Go raptor all the way
@@ItalianStallion410 Thanks. Yeah, I’m leaning that way.
@@shawnhorning2125 best of luck with it 💪🏽

I've been shopping for the right gen1 for a while. I cant wait to find one!!!!
Look down south you’ll find a good one !!
@@ItalianStallion410 you were right!! i found the perfect 14 svt raptor down in south Carolina. 70k miles and absolutely flawless. Down south seems to be the gold mine!!!!!
New subscriber. Currently looking at Raptors and wondering for a daily if gen 1 with lower miles still a pretty penny is worth it or go with a gen 3 like you did? Gen 3 substantially more of course. Something about the old school v8
I love the Gen 1 raptors to death but after driving them all I would still go with my Gen 3 it’s just so good I wish it had the coyote in it but the ecoboost isn’t bad cause it gets really good gas mileage
@@ItalianStallion410 thanks for that. Is 2022 good or is there any reason to try and get a 23? How many miles did you pick yours up with?
@@blazing2557 I ordered mine it took some time to come in was hard to get a raptor when I got mine but now you can find them all over

Woah no problems in 25k miles so incredible
Denali ftw🏁
Just bought one. 160k miles. Im currently rebuilding the suspension, doing brakes, pads, joints, arms, frame is clean, engine is clean and transmission is smooth. Best truck I ever owned.
Also mine is the molten orange. Love the color but the color is obsolete 😢 so touch up kits aren’t available from Ford.
@@finklesteenDK420 congrats on the truck I hope it last you a very long time and you enjoy it
