I think this is honestly a testament to buy a vehicle you actually want for cash and then maintain it! So many vehicles are built to last and will actually put a smile on your face when you drive them. I love the E55 wagon as an all Mercedes owner. C63s, E53, C400. I remember watching your video when you purchased this truck. I had a 2018 Raptor at the time and watched because of the V8 Raptor desire. Fast forward to now and I have gotten rid of the Eco boost Raptor trash and have a TRX. I absolutely love it. Its a 2022 and only 13k miles on it, but I know there will be a time when I will get rid of it and with the prices of the V8 Raptor R and the Hellcat TRX going away and the price of new trucks in general, I am thinking I will buy an older Gen 1 V8 Raptor as they are affordable and the 6.2 liter engines are great. I really enjoy your Raptor videos so thanks for the value and entertainment. I am a few years away from a Gen 1 V8 Raptor, but your videos have helped with the information I need to solidify my decision when the time comes.

That’s crazy I’m 44 and remembered seeing that exact color raptor when it came out at the auto show in Minneapolis. I wanted one bad I think it was my favorite at that years auto show until the following year…. When I saw the white L.F.A Lexus at the same auto show. We couldn’t buy it at the time. You were only allowed to Lease it. We thought why on earth would you want to only lease it?
Wish I persuaded my wife to go after the L.F.A with what they are worth now. We could afford to retire early, even with this crazy inflation going on.

Bought a 2014 with 100k miles raptor 1.5 years ago for 29K. It was bald tires and blown shocks. I replaced with a Gen 2 coilverd. Since I’ve had it :Radiator, Radiator fans, transmission oil cooler, transmission, Rear drive shaft, cv axles, Brakes, full oil service, air filter, Spark plugs, cables, coils, battery, battery connectors, all led bulbs and led head light conversion. Blower motor resistor, Throttle body, fuel pump, fuel pump relay, fuel pressure sensor, alternator, starter, 4 wheel drive motor, rear window, lots of wiring fixes. The 2010-2014 f150 are generally the same and well designed trucks. Ford decided to make cheap parts 🤣. I’ve since done all the upgrades or lifetime warranty on parts. Some stuff was done ahead of full break downs.

It used to be my dream truck and I bought it at least partially due to your review. I LOVE it! I spent a lot on it but that was mainly preventative maintenance as well. Fun fact: I love the factory Raptor stance. I bought it "leveled" but reverted to the factory settings. Partially because the lights were blinding others. High beams left the first 8 meters of the road unlit, haha! I try to baby it while trying to have fun on- and offroad as well. Actually, it won a Sportsman cup in a drag race recently :) I understand where this world is heading to and who knows, I might go electric one day but until than I will enjoy the last bits of the V8 engines. Thanks again for the content!

Not to be "that guy" but I have a few bones to pick. Modifications aren't maintenance. The A/C Compressor and tires are maint., and new wheels are a modification. A new exhaust because the old one failed would be maintenance, a new exhaust because it is cool is a mod. Anything you change because you think it would be cool is a mod., anything you change because the vehicle requires it in maintenance. I'd split totals, here are the maint. costs, here is what I spent on mods. Also, you got bent over on the shocks, Rockauto has the replacement Fox shocks for a little over $300 each, I just replaced mine in Feb of this year and I used a discount code on top of that. I was nowhere near the $3000 or whatever your price was.

"That's Raptor specific. For some reason." The third brake light is Raptor specific because that is where they put three of the 5 marker lights required for the truck being so wide. Marker lights have to be on the front (amber) and the rear (red). The other two are directly below the tail lights.
