I started wearing knee pads and a vest when I hit the jetty. Cause you never know
@@ouissandy2806 A real angler understands safety and the importance of it. Appreciate your comment bud, love the knee pads.
You're the man, Bob! I always look forward to your videos! You have such a laid back demeanor 😊
@@ryanlee9313 thank you Ryan! Kickin it laid back is the way to roll, life’s easier
That’s a beautiful reel! Handles those fish no problem! 👏
Thank you girlfinfishing, its pretty solid. Been really enjoying fishing with it in saltwater
You are truly the epitome of a saltwater king!! Thanks for another spectacular video my brotha! I was waiting for this reel review from you and you did an amazing job showcasing its skill and ability. Tight lines !
@@Hitman023 thank you for the kind compliment hitman. Appreciate that. I’m still learning and enjoy the skunk just as much as the blitz, fish on bud!
Great action it not the gear is the fisherman great work keep slayin em
@@boatdntcount. thank you boatdntcount. I agree with you, gear only takes you so far. Technique is everything
Awesome video, risk paid off with that striper. You got me hyped to fish this weekend
@@joshperez7817 catch em up friend! It’s such beautiful weather out there this weekend
Way to go Bob nice early striper good to see you back on the bucktail my friend
@@petergucci4024 thank you Peter! They should be moving into the city by the day, were getting some decent water temps to play with
The Kapstan will be my next addition. I currently have 3 ReKons in the 2500 and 3000 size, and it’s been holding up pretty well against some smoker kings and bull reds
@@robsadventures05 that’s great to hear! Reds fight hard, that’s awesome the kastking is holding on strong
Great action..this place is danger especially September onward.. The waves are unpredictable..
@@MrDanielw006 especially when we get offshore storms. It blows my mind when I see people with rubber fishing boots out there. I have fallen so many times even with korkers
Savage water on light tackle 🌊🌊🌊🌊🎣🗽
@@wormway_69 thank you for watching wormway, appreciate the comment
Hit the inlet today and everyone was hooking up bass and blues all on bucktails,
@@nghunt6329 bucktails the NY rockstar
Its good to see theres bait other than gulp
@@Gibson-md9yi theres some great gulp alternatives
Good luck with your new KastKing gear Bob I am sure this fall season you will haul in some whoppers !! Tight Lines
@@ConeyIsland1952 thank you coney, I’m enjoying it a lot! Great reel so far, thank you for watching the episode
Can you please give me a hit or recommendation of where to fish artificial lures in Brooklyn or any of the 5 Burroughs close to Brooklyn. I have 0 lucky fishing fake bait. I want your videos all the time to learn but I can’t find the fish anywhere I fish
I knew you would like that reel!
Great video..did you get to see that video from aquaman?
@@fishn365 I don’t have Insta but my friend showed me the clip on the beach from the diver. Felt really good to see the fish swim away underwater from his perspective
@@fishn365 thank you for watching the episode fishn365
Bob get a Daiwa Certrate LT 5000-XH the last reel you will ever want to use Bro...
@@rdh9155 I bet it’s mad fun! Enjoy that reel and catch them up bud
Nice reel. I have 2 kastking stealth baitcast reels that are 8 yrs old. Only saltwater use. Still work great.
Hey. Weren’t you working on some soft plastic baits?
@@jace127 hey Jace, that’s great to hear your kastkings are holding up, I really like mine. I’ll probably show my lure more this fall, waiting for the blues to head south.
Lemme ask u if that rod says 1:4-1oz lure and you put 2oz is that ok
Great job Bob! And that was a pretty good trial for that reel. Looks pretty awesome! By the way what kind of knot do you use to tie on your leader? I use the zoom flukes too and they work really well for jigging for flounder
@@jamesdavid1714 hey James, lately it’s been a uni to uni. I used to spend the time on the FG but I rarely pop the connection knot on uni to uni
Fun video. Jones Inlet?
@@erichhudson2090 thank you for watching the video Erich
What times do you usually go fishing? Do you think this type of setup works for night? I’m not much of a morning guy but I go at nights because that’s when I have the time.
Night is best, but it makes bad footage for guys like Bob. Tight lines 🤙
@@hossprey makes sense for him, thanks for the info 🙏🏻
@@3601christopher depends on the season. In the fall the decisions are tidal driven, not time of day. But if you only have time at night to fish, then fish at night. Striped bass night fishing is incredible. I don’t make night videos because the footage doesn’t look good. But I totally fish at night, it’s awesome. Have fun out there !
Damn is it better if the wave is strong?
@@Kayyytz not at all, you can catch fish in calm water too.
man how are you not getting bitten off with all these blues
Fast retrieve. They were going wild for the snap jig but I think I lost one bucktail and went back to fast retrieve. They can swim pretty quick
