Just started following/watching your videos to figure out what to do and gear up for my trip to Cape San Blas in a couple of weeks. First time salt water fishing as well 😅. 🤙Keep on keeping on.
Have you ever thought of crushing up some of the bigger sand fleas and putting them in one of the inline chumming baskets? I wonder if the scent would bring in some fish?
nice catchin! on the pompano at the end there, do you cut the bottom of the gill, so to bleed out, so you don't have to deal with the blood for freezing and does it taste better with that small cut and bleed out? thanks a lot great channel
@@brianlangford7278 some days it's all the fish want here. Wish it worked better for you up there cause it's nice not having to deal with bait on those days. I always bring natural baits too and figure out what the fish are eating. Tight lines!
Using 3 or 4oz weights. Casting distance with Surf rods is all about technique. I pull down on the butt of the rod with my left hand and push forward with my right. Acts like a lever.
@@JustinReedFishing Hey Justin, I am looking at google maps, and you are the guy to ask: would you choose Pensacola Beach or Gulf Shores to fish for pompano this time of year?
@dimap81 pompano bite is typically better in Pensacola. The fall run hasn't started yet though and Alabama will see the run before we do. Haven't seen much on reports this week with the rough surf. Good luck!
Love your videos, and it's great how you show where your cast land to help us learn where to cast
Thanks Gary. Helping people learn how to surf fish is why I started the Channel. Glad to show what I'm doing out on the beach. Tight lines!
Love seeing your garden flourish! 🌻
Another great video pal, thanks. Much needed after dealing with all the stress of the day, helps me escape for awhile.

Good idea. I'm going to give that a try!
When was this filmed? I'm in Navarre and hoping to get out on the beach soon.
September 19th and 20th. Bite has gotten better since. Good luck and enjoy your trip!
Very nice video mamen!
What is a good size for a starter surf rod?
Appreciate it! Depends on the area. For the Gulf a 10-12 foot is great. On the Atlantic side you'll want a 12 foot.
@@JustinReedFishing thank's brother! I'll Probably get a 12 footer.

I bleed all my fish. Better quality meat and it's a quick death for the fish. Tight lines!
I don't know man,I've used fishbite last year n this year for a week straight in south Carolina n never had a bite throw anything else I catch
The secret bait was the Blue Crab knuckles.
@JustinReedFishing oh I know, but I see all these people catching on it ,I can't get a bite,must be a Florida Alabama bait I don't kno,but anyway

Are you fishing from the gulf coast? If so what area?
Yes, Pensacola Florida area.
@@JustinReedFishing thanks! Great videos
@@deeray0604 appreciate it!
Dude, how do you cast that far with that little effort? What's the weight you're using?
Using 3 or 4oz weights. Casting distance with Surf rods is all about technique. I pull down on the butt of the rod with my left hand and push forward with my right. Acts like a lever.
@@JustinReedFishing Thanks. I will hit PB next weekend. If need be, I will catch that damn pomp with my teeth.
@dimap81 Haha, good luck!
