I was a Sophomore in High School when this game came out and I absolutely loved it; so much so that I played it over and over again, neglecting to read a book for my Language Arts class which I needed to do for a book report. Long story short, I figured with an author's name on this game, my teacher wouldn't know the difference. So I cropped out the EA or whatever publisher was on the box art and wrote a book report on this game.
    Got an A.

This game seems ahead of its time. The gun/magic with each hand reminds me of Bioshock, which didn't come out until 2007. Weapon wheels generally are a modern feature as well, although I can't think specifically of when they became popular. And the variety of spells remind me of the psi power in EYE divine cybermancy (which civvy really should do a video on)

Ah, Clive Barker's Clive Barker's Undying by Clive Barker is my favorite Clive Barker game by Clive Barker that I can think of! It's so a fantastic game.
Trivia: The guy Patrick Galloway kills in the intro, that was suppose to be the Main character for the game initially but when they brought in Clive Barker and told him about it, he supposed to have said " _Who looks like this? Who wants to look like this? Does anyone know of a man named Magnus? No, draw me a man I want to sleep with!_ ", and that's how we got Patrick Galloway instead, a sexier man for a much better story.
    .... By Clive Barker!

It had so many firsts for me: first weapon wheel game, first dual wield game and first FPS game where guns had secondary modes, first time where your character has to warp to a mirror world with ghosts, just a great game. • _Undying_ was a great, very memorable game, one of my all-time favorites. I want to re-play it, but my OCD makes me do the shooting-range at the start, so I can't make any progress, so I keep putting it off for later. Regardless, it's still a great game, with great atmosphere, and felt very full and satisfying (not too long, not too short). _Jericho_ wasn't bad, it was just buried.
    • The spells remind me of the ter'angreal from _Wheel of Time_ (which was pretty good, but too long); also some of its maps.
12:36 - This part reminds me of _American McGee's Alice_ . The cistern reminds me of _Tomb Raider_ , other parts remind me of some of the _Painkiller_ games, and some _Return to Castle Wolfenstein_ , and even _CoC: Dark Corners of the Earth_ .
15:00 - This part reminds me of _Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem_ .
18:47 - Would you still hit it? 🤔
    20:37 - And some _Watchmaker_ and/or _Scratches_ .
    28:18 - And now _Barrow Hill_ .
    29:00 - Kraven.
    31:47 - Shame. :-\
_Undying_ is reminiscent of many games (some before it, some after), as well as some Lovecraft stuff, particularly _Dunwich Horror_ . Overall, it's extremely memorable and a fun play.

@@mariuszj3826 I haven't played it in a while so my memory is a bit fuzzy. But, from what I could remember. The time limit wasn't too bad. I think all that really did was just affect the game's ending and made the game harder the longer you took.
And even then, you'd have to spend a ridiculous amount of time in the same area for that to happen.
On a side note, be wary playing this game at high volumes. The audio is a bit scratchy and low quality, so it might hurt your ears.

That one's been sitting on my GOG wishlist for a while. I need to get around to it.

Don't know why, but it just pleases me to no end that he's a leftie with a left handed revolver.

Love this game.. despite its age it still plays pretty well - and the atmosphere in some places is VERY effective. Certain parts gives me goosebumps every time. Great video...
