Change the sights to whatever you like. Add a light/laser if that appeals to you. Install a dot optic if you want. If you like some aftermarket grip tape, add it. But I recommend leaving the internals alone since there's no reason to fix what's not broken. Also, there's no reason to change the barrel unless you're going to shoot unplated/unjacketed bullets or you want to convert to a different chambering, as I have done between .40 and .357. I don't own a Glock 26, but I do own a Glock 33/27. That's a little beast.

Compensators are getting smaller and quite efficient. And more people are adding them to their carry. Requires a threaded barrel tho. I've only got the one that I edc. A first wave release 26gen5. USA mfgd, without the forward slide grooves. I swapped the factory Glock Marksman Barrel, to a Sylvan Arms threaded barrel and 1oz three port compensator. Traded out the factory sights for oem Glock night sights. Threw on a Streamlight TLR-6. I've ordered a GPT gen2.5 for it that's en route. Got a 19 magazine for it, and a sleave spacer is also en route. Next mod will be an MOS cut slide to add an RMR or Holosun

With the 43x, sometimes it feels unnatural, if that makes sense, while the 26 just seems to fit right in place. Now, if they would make a 26x...26 frame and 19 slide...

I was never into injected molded guns but the salesman put on a great demo for me & it changed my (negative) perception of blocks in general. Couldn't be happier unless I lived in a state that allows for more than a 10 round mag...
The Glock performance trigger works in gen 3, gen4 and gen5. I know because I’ve put them in my gen4 and gen3 26’s, my gen3 and gen4 19’s, and the majority of my PSA Daggers. On the gen3 Glocks, you will trim the legs of the GPT housing to match your gen3 housing. It’s obvious when you compare them, what you need to trim. I’ve also put the GPT in my gen4 357sig 32 and 33. Just swap the ejector from the 32 and 33 onto your GPT. Lenny Magill from Glockstore did a video on how the GPT is also for gen3 and 4 despite what Glock says. The only mandatory switch on the slide when using the GPT is a gen5 backplate, which you do on all your slides anyway.
Just added a 26 Gen 3 to my collection.i was a die hard 17M as my go to that I would carry a lot or keep in my truck on trips.but now that I want to make a firearm part of my EDC then the 26 just made sense.paid $505 plus tax for mine here in Ga. Thanks for the content and info man!!

I’ve become Glock systems approach guy too but man you took a dedicated Glock 26 systems to a new level!!!! Looks amazing. I’m building my Glock systems around the 40cal/ conversion to 9mm. Example: G23 with conversion barrel to 9mm and dedicated G19. Same with G22 with conversion to 9mm and dedicated G17…. And so on 😅
I've carried a G19 for about a decade. I'm really thinking of giving a g26 a go. I just don't know if it is going to make much felt difference, but I am more than willing to buy a gun just to experiment!😂😂
My favorite has to be how you took a g26 gen 3 frame and gave it a slide with front serrations. Modularity of a gen 3 with (some) gen aesthetics. Or the compensated one. Or the x grip one……..**** i love the g26

I have a perfectly moded 4 me Glock 26 gen4. right down to the Titanium firing pin. I have no idea why, I shoot iy better than any of my Glock 19`s. I find it easier to controll more than the 43x.

what the different texture you were talking about the elite series? I thought about trying it but the edge is really hard to move away from. does it hurt when pressed against the skin?
The only thing you do to a Glock is get ammo and train and if you do anything at all just sights I would only ever use factory mags and factory mag extensions because they work. Reliability is why we choose to carry any Glock so when you go messing with all the Gucci shit you’re potentially risking the reliability. more importantly, heaven forbid you ever have to discharge your firearm in self defense and you end up in court every single little part and piece that you’ve decided to change is all the more reason for a prosecutor to weaken your defense. I have carried Glocks for years both as a civilian and as a former police officer and the only thing I have ever done is purchase the weapon or been issued it then acquire ammo and shoot and train as much as possible. The only thing we were permitted to do a weapon mounted light and night sights. To this day with all the micro guns and all the fancy shit that’s out I carry a Glock 26 with a set of night that’s it. Nothing else magazine extensions that are on any of my mags are the factory Glock +2 the way they came out of the package. I try to shoot a box of 50 rounds of whatever’s cheap.and a box of 20 rounds of my carry ammo (Speer Gold Dot 125gr + P) every week or at least two mags a week if all else fails. It’s cool to see ya have a bunch of guns and support the. 2nd amendment my only suggestion is carry a stock weapon other than sights possibly and train with it. I hope none of us ever have to use force against another human being because justified or not that’s a heavy burden on a man. Anyways just my opinion and thoughts so much respect from Cincinnati Ohio.
If you can decide whether you like them with or without the finger grooves, that'll pretty much narrow it down. Or if you're a lefty and want the slide release, only the gen 5 is ambi.

Skip the mag extensions. Adding an Xgrip plus a G19 mag turns the 26 into an amazing new firearm. Same for the 27 by adding an Xgrip and a G23 mag.

G26 was my first pistol I purchased. Sold it during hard times and have regretted it every since.

My 26 was plagued with FTE/F for the first 200 rounds. Still has FTE sometimes. Still hoping it will be worthy of carrying someday.
