1:01:00: I'm Vietnamese Montagnard and was born towards the end of the war in Vietnam. My father helped out the SpecOp forces during this time. I ended up losing my family after our village got wiped out in the conflict, and was adopted, and am living now in New Zealand. I was cracking up when you were talking earlier about your childhood, 19:30: as this was practically exactly the same as my childhood at that age. I was heavily into recon work, and those early experiences really helped.

Mike is wearing shoes so you know it's a momentous occasion...or cold. Thanks for this collaboration.
And yes, I miss buying caps at K-Mart.
As for socks, there are a couple of manufacturers in NC who do stuff for team sports. Whether they're set up for heavy duty stuff I don't know.

Before "we" get on the Tulsi train.........she needs to make an overwhelming appearance on the Pro 2A side and put in some real work........not just shoot a 3-gun comp and say she is pro2A. I want to see her put some real skin in the game by volunteering and showing absolute commitment that can be used against her by the Anti 2A community (if she decides to flipflop back and forth). Tulsi has a strong Anti2A voting record and we need to not forget that.

Then putting them between two huge bolts held together with a nut, took a couple of crescent wrenches and tightened it up as tight as I could get it. Then threw it. Spectacular results, our neighbors large living room window was destroyed. Took a good ass whipping over that, As I should have.

I'm a bit concerned, Mr. Glover, with your comments about state governments being able to enact gun control. I even replayed it. You're actually saying that states can infringe my Second Amendment rights? You actually used the words "common sense" when you were talking about Tulsi Gabbard, a proven gun-control believer, at the same time you were talking about guns??? It sounded very much like you were saying city people don't have the same rights to carry guns and use them as people who live outside of the city. I would really like you to elaborate when you can. Thank you very much. Generally enjoy your comments. Thank you.

I can see your questioning of the statement he made when noting Dodge City putting in place ordinances. I interpreted his statement a bit differently and the angle I interpreted it from was that state/local laws are allowed to make ordinances but it’s a slippery slope and what laws are put in place. I didn’t necessarily get the feeling he was for local govt restricting areas of carry, considering he advocates for carrying every day, but more so that the federal govt started passing legislation that impacts the 2A instead of just deciding whether or not state govt laws are constitutional. I don’t think he was taking a hard stance on gun control laws at a local level but I too would like to hear the breakdown and explanation of his thoughts on that topic as well.

Not that I have a similar level of notoriety and challenge, but Mike’s comments about “selfies” and “stolen valor” really struck home. I spent a career in the army in the 80’s and 90’s, including deployments to Desert Shield/Storm and more. And most folks respond to that very well when I talk about it. But, sometimes, I get accused of making things up or not telling the truth about the reality of military service and deployments. Including being told that my pictures, which I mostly didn’t take myself, are fake. It’s weird. I think some of it, honestly, has to do with Hollywood portrayals that are really inaccurate.

if you have an RV its handy towing a tiny SUV on the back, you can setup and leave for other adventures. Bikes are okay but limited.

I really enjoyed this podcast. Especially the message about being positive and not getting caught up in social media toxicity or feeling the need to leave a negative comment. Something I try to do, but can and should get better at. Thank you.

I'm cracking up, hearing these guys who are both around my age (47) acting like they're old men lamenting the youth of today. My lovely wife & I have five kids from 21 to 7yo, & not much has changed, certainly not in their spirits. The kids all played army, especially the boys...if anything, my kids have more of the types of experiences Mike & Jack are romanticizing from their youth, because my kids are growing up in a rural part of CA, while I was mostly a suburban kid. Our kids are fine, it's us that we need to be worried about. The hyper partisanship...feeling like the universe will implode if this guy's elected instead of that guy, spending all of our time playing the blame game, all the while worried that our kids are playing video games. We have to stop the grievance Olympics & start setting this country up for our children instead of crapping all over it & leaving them with...a.....well, I guess they'd have a crapped on country...with crap all over....I need to workshop this analogy, but you get my point.

Two of my favorite American icons. Yes, they have reached Icon status. Growing up in the woods of Western Washington, we did so much of what you guys are talking about. The Sniper Overwatch with your toy guns, or BB guns… I hit Jason Chemente in the ass, wearing his Parachute pants, as I was wearing full camo, laying in the Cedar shrubs in my front yard from 30 yards… oh the memories. He never found me.

Great podcast. I met Mike FTF at the Sig Sauer Camp Legion last year in August. So down to earth person who did so much in defense of our country. I was so impressed I gave him one of my challenge coins I had made up from my meager time in the Army. As for audio books. It's the only was I can do a book. If I try to physically read one, it would take for ever. I would read several pages, fall asleep, then wake up and do it again. It's just me and not the author or subject matter.

Listening to this is like listening to someone talk about my childhood! The Big GI Joes - the Huge Tank that you could get, the Helicopter and scuba set!!! Kung Fu Grip GI Joe!!!! All the guns and makeshift explosives and stalking exercises....I feel like we all did this - like out inate Human Nature as a child to 'play' as the warrior...its in you. Kids now have missed the cildhood 'training' we all did.... like Cats when theyre kittens - they PLAY at hunting and attacking... its 'in them' - its Nature... we're the same!
