I will never get tired of seeing jaws drop as young people discover Led Zeppelin. Next, you must see Stairway to Heaven from this same concert. Especially since you like guitar solos.
@@brithaddenhadden8383I saw that poll… it was put out during the queen movie.. and a bunch of pop musical people voted. Queen are greatest for show tunes/broadway rock… led zep is 1000% a better band
Saw them in Memphis in 73 and followed them the next few nights to Shreveport and then Dallas. It was like a different show every night. Not only did they change the setlists but the songs they played again were so different from night to night. They just had an on stage chemistry and they instinctively knew what the others were doing.
This song might just be their best song to do live. The first 5 chords from Page, then Bono with a few drum beats just sets the vibe. It's all uphill from there.
Led Zeppelin is possibly the deepest rabbit hole in all of rock music. Definitely one of the deepest. They DOMINATED the 1970s just like the Beatles dominated the mid- to late 1960s. Next from LZ: "Kashmir."
Advanced level- Kashmir- Page & Plant live....the original "Kashmir" sound like it was intended to be as they were highly influenced by middle-eastern music and sounds.
It was hell growing up in the 70's, No Internet, No Social Media, No Mobile Phones and we only had bands like Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd.... Poor US! 😂😂😂
No, the hell was being a teenager living a thirty-minute walk from Knebworth and having to make the trek to see Floyd in 1975, and Zeppelin, two consecutive weekends in 1979, among many others. Life sure was hard!
For me it was the three hundred yard walk to my local pub to watch John Mayall with Mick Taylor, and ending up with an evening of Jimi Hendrix. Cheated or what?
Great reaction to one of the all-time most talented groups, Led Zep! Don't stop, you will be blown away. Try Stairway to heaven, whole lotta love, Immigrant Song, Ramble On., soo many more! LIVE versions when you can. Enjoy this journey!
ANY song from `73 MSG in concert is GOLD! This band is so tight, it`s like a jam session and it all meshes into the badest music ever! Glad you LOVE LZ.
What an amazing song to start your Led Zeppelin journey on.... I am an old guy who bought these albums as they came out... Yes, that old, and I love that another generation is here to discover what 4 giuys from England could do to the world of music...Keep on Rocking... You have another subscriber...
Jimmy Page is my favorite guitarist.. and Robert Plant is my favorite singer. Songs you would love from this same concert are: Stairway to Heaven, The Song Remains the Same, Rain Song, Whole Lotta Love, Rock and Roll, No Quarter, and Dazed and Confused. That whole concert live in Madison Square Garden 1973!! React to Stairway first, you will fall in love!!
Hey, nice to see yet another new Led Zeppelin reactor and fan, you have started a wonderful, rocking musical journey of the best kind. If you like to rock, these guys are still the real kings of rock, their sound is timeless and it don't matter how old you are or what your musical background is, as soon as you hear them, you want more! They also do all kinds of great music, mainly their impeccable rock sound but with nice dashes of blues, folk , world music and edgy hard rock that everyone loves. Anyhow, the best way to appreciate their true greatness at the top of rock rankings is to hear their 10 Disc Discography in order, for an appreciation of how good they were right away, changing music history with their first 2 albums, which influenced all heavy rock to come. Their sound evolved over time and every record is great. You should do this at your leisure but it is well worth doing, you will be in awe by the end of the first album. If you want to sample some more live, do the videos from their excellent concert movie, The Song Remains the Same. Try Stairway to Heaven, both there and the studio original ASAP for one of the top songs in music history, you will love, it can bring you to tears. I'm so glad to bump into you and wish you well exploring them, no matter how you do. With their studio albums and endless live content on You Tube you will be busy and pleasantly surprised every time you listen/watch them, as every time is different but still Led Zeppelin. Enjoy! 🎵🎸🎤🎹🎶
You picked my favorite live performance for your first listen, of the greatest band that ever has & ever will grace this planet. These 4 music genius, are the GOATS of their crafts, & the GODS of many music genres. Seriously you can’t go wrong with any of their songs, even the couple that may not be your favorite, are still better then other bands. I hope you continue to listen to them, I & many others will follow your journey. Robert Plant lead vocals & harmonica* Jimmy Page lead guitarist* John Paul Jones, bass keyboards & several other instruments* John Bonham (Bonzo) on the drums. Though studio versions are great too, the lives they add more to them, many & the best are from Madison Square Gardens (1973). They do Rock Blues & other genres. They were together from the end of 1968 to September of 1980, sadly when the greatest drummer passed away. The band knew they couldn’t replace, the amazing John Bonham.
Thank you for reacting to this. Since I've Been Loving You was one of the BEST live Zeppelin songs! I first saw them in 1970, saw them a total of 10 times. This is my go-to song whenever I need a blues rock release. Yowza!
I first saw Led Zeppelin in Pasadena, California in 1969. I saw them again in 1973 at Arizona State University Activity Center. Fantastic band. You should check out "Kashmir" from the Celebration Tour.
Yes, it is not long after they released the 2nd album and they were in prime, early, heavy form that night, they just killed that whole set list. Worth seeing for sure.
This Nanna luvs seeing young people experience this talent. Now thrilled we actually have these videos of the boys in there prime. Eye candy for the ladies, my God men with hair! Thank God we grew up to this ! YOU Have alot to explore! Cheers!
Zep's live performances are great and you can't go wrong with any of those being recommended in comments, but for a studio-version song reaction listen to "When The Levee Breaks" & "Achilles Last Stand" (I've never encountered decent live recordings of either, but both are fantastic).
Best Rock band ever!! Robert Plant lead vocals,Jimmy Page lead guitarist, John "bonzo" Bonham on drums and John Paul Jones on bass and keyboard all musical geniuses,I would suggest "stairway to heaven" as it's their most iconic song and a true masterpiece 😊
Definitely an epic performance, although Zeppelin is great at that. Check out Whole Lotta Love by them. Either the studio or the live version from 1970 at the Royal Albert Hall.
Your reaction is wonderful filled with soulfullness and healing for an old geezer like me, Led zep fan since I was 10... 1972. Love and light from Sweden
I was fortunate enough to get to see them perform about five songs off of every Led Zeppelin album live in concert. Jimmy Page the lead guitarist, as well as John Paul Jones the bass guitar and keyboards, we're both session musicians. Jimmy Page played lead guitar on many other bands albums. A session musicians they play pretty much anything that is wanted of them. They are capable of playing many different styles of music. As one goes through the songs on their albums, one experiences many different styles of Music being Incorporated into their music. Typical first songs most people react to include this one, as well as Stairway to Heaven, Whole Lotta Love, and the Immigrant song, would you likely recognize from movies like Thor or Shrek. Most people end up reacting to Kashmir off the album Physical Graffiti. But, I hardly hear them react to some very good songs like custard pie, or the Rover from that same album. You'll want to listen to Fool in the Rain off of in through the out door. I thought they're live performance of the ocean was pretty good. But, that could be just me. Ramble On is a good tune you want to check out dazed and confused, and black dog. Going to California, or the Rain song. There are many more songs that are all good! You won't really get the grasp of Led Zeppelin until you experience all the different formats and styles of music in their songs. They are legendary greats, and members of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame! You can't go wrong with LED zeppelin! What I mentioned in terms of songs is only scratching the surface. You Can Do Led Zeppelin videos, and have a wealth of content doing so.
"In My Time of Dying" from this same concert is also incredible. They have so many truly exceptional songs that you can dig deep into their library and keep finding gems. It's well worth the time spent if you're new to this band.
If you want to be really blown away, then check out 'Dazed And Confused' from the same concert. The Guitar Solo is one of the best and most innovative ever performed.
4:58 About what you said here, that's how music used to be back in the days, not so long time ago. Charismatic artists singing with good voices and playing its instruments. No Computers, no auto-tune, just passion. I'm really surprised that the youngest generations find it kind of extravagant.
This is my favorite band I've been with these guys since they started first time I saw them. I think it was 6970 Fillmore, East New York and all the shows at the gardenn 73 Mo 67 more concerts after that.
Check oiut their softer side with "Going to California," from 1975 Ear's Court show. Gentle acoustic loveliness. Then again, "Black Dog" from the same concert this video was from (1973 MSG) is HARD ROCK and has one of your beloved killer guitar solos, lol.
You must try the Rain Song from the MSG concert '73 but also the studio version of "Ten Years Gone" (I don't think they ever did it live). Thanks for the video.
You have to listen to a young Robert sing "Babe I'm Going to Leave You" in B/W - Led Zeppelin Danmarks Radio 1969 "Babe I'm Going to Leave You" Pure Perfection.
They did several acoustic songs that you might like as well. Check out these songs: 1] Friends 2] Going to California 3] Battle of Evermore 4] That's the Way 5] Tangerine 6] Bron-Y-Aur Stomp 7] (not acoustic but a great pair of rock/ballade songs) - The Song Remains the Same / The Rain Song 8] (not acoustic but more of a country song) - Down by the Seaside
And to think you are listening to the Third night of this tour or as we fans like to call it (The crap night), The first Night was not recorded the second night and third night were. The Second night being the BEST!
Thanks! Been watching for a bit...really enjoy your Zep reactions...however, you have yet to react (to my knowledge) to the live version of Kashmir from the 1979 Knebworth show...I think it is the last time John Bonham was recorded live before his untimely passing in 1980...his performance (the whole band's performance) of Kashmir during that show is just incredible...I PROMISE you the drum fills will blow you away...and look for the middle eastern melody played by John Paul Jones during the song...most folks believe that Kashmir and Stairway to Heaven are Led Zep's best songs (even better than Whole Lotta' Love)...thanks for your reactions...they are awesome and us old Led-Heads just love it!!! Take care...Andy
Wow, your generosity is truly overwhelming! Thank you so much for your incredibly generous donation of $100 for the second time!!! Your support means the world to me, and I'm thrilled to hear that you're enjoying my reactions!!!! Your suggestion sounds absolutely incredible, and I'll definitely add it to my list, especially considering its significance as one of John Bonham's last live performances. Thank you again and take care, Andy, let's keep rocking on! 💕

Who are groups in 2024 ?

"Rain Song", is the most beautiful song in the Led Zeppelin catalog. ✌️❤️🌹
You are the kind of woman this song was written for. Beautiful, intelligent and soulful. Great analysis and commentary. Nice to meet you here.
