That is very helpful info. It’s good you repeat yourself in multiple videos because that’s what it takes to truly get your message across so it sinks in. This stuff is not easy and there are many nuances to it. Really appreciate your videos. 💪🏼🐺
Hey Larry, Just wanted to say thanks for all the free content you put out. I’ve really learned a lot from watching your videos. Also thanks for recommending Micheal Ellis in one of your videos just took his training dogs with food course and has taken my training to the next level. I ordered your book today can’t wait to read it. Keep up the good work!
OK, good… Finally some confirmation on the smells/scent! I have an extremely scent driven lab who once he gets locked in is tough to break. That said, I have the book and am still in the conditioning phase and trying to figure out if he is actually "conditioned" to the collar/language or the just reward. During our sessions he will just stop, wait and watch me for the tap and command and then be on a mission to get to me. I try to keep moving, back up etc. to keep showing him what we are doing. I am guessing it is time to introduce the distractions but really worried about the scent drive etc. and going up too quick... And, for anybody that thinks the e-collar is mean/inhumane etc. (my wife was worried). When he sees me pick up the collar and remote he will run over and sit right in front of me wagging his tail ready to go, if I walk around with it in my hand he will not leave my side until I finally put it on. Doesn't sound like a traumatized dog having a bad experience…
very helpful! i have been very successful in the conditioning phase but wasnt sure how to proceed from there. Thank you so much for posting all of these videos!!
So when you go out to new places and are practicing the four combos of each command, do you find a new working level for your dog in that environment? This is where I am struggling
People need to hear it that there is no 💯 training there to stop dogs from being dogs.and it's nice that you can be honest about it and share that info. I used to think professional training will make a dog listen to you always. But after a while you can see times when dog is too focused into other smells and can't hear you anymore 😂 which is just normal. We have to do our best.
For all of you who are new, remember that during the conditioning phase Larry also teaches the place command (without the ecollar). Then uses the place command as well (with the ecollar) so the dog understands the language of the ecollar better. This is all done during the conditoning phase at the lowest level the dog can feel. Its also recommended to go through the "how to" playlist and watch all of the videos on how to condition the dog properly. Remember we are doing this in the most humane way and if you do not have the patience to learn how to use it properly you should not use a ecollar. Furthermore, get the book on kindle, its cheap and affordable and answers so many of the questions that people are asking.
Love all of your content man! Do you by chance know of any solid trainers that you would recommend for my doberman when I move to Tampa Florida in a couple weeks? Thanks in advance!
Larry Krohn I have already been on his website actually! He was already on my radar and now you have just confirmed! Keep it up man absolutely love your content and your realness when it comes to not biting your tongue on a certain subject matter!

Best trainer in Georgia? I need someone to help with my dogs. I’m doing a lot of work myself but distractions are a major issue.
In southeast Georgia looking also
