Soudtracks For The Blind is like Once Upon A Time in America by Sergo Leone, a masterpiece but the length is really intimidating and it can not be any shorter. You need to take your time and be ready for the very moving experience it is.

Definitely echo your sentiments about STFTB, it used to be my favorite Swans album for that reason. Imagine never hearing of the band and accidently picking the record up at a store, only to listen to the whole thing feeling like you accidently bumped into some lost recordings. TBK has since taken the crown for being a more cohesive listening experience (despite almost being just as long) and for taking a lot of elements from noise rock, post-rock, and totalism to a honed perfection (Glenn Branca's "The Ascension" comes to mind as a strong point of influence for TBK, especially since Gira has worked with Branca on 'Symphony No. 3').
Cold take but I prefer Red over ITCOTCK because the darker sounds and perfect closer, but it's undeniable that the debut influenced the way prog rock ended up sounding (which is why I guess I'm not as big a fan of it, the 'fantasy' sound of that album really works more as a lightning in a bottle). Don't get me wrong though, ITCOTCK is a near perfect album.
Glad to see love for 'In Utero'. 'Nevermind' ended up being their biggest hit but ironically the least representative of the band's image, and it always felt like the band was constantly undermining their own fame on tracks like 'In Bloom' and their own sabotaging of the lip sync performance. 'In Utero' by contrast felt like the most honest album by the band, and it's both a shame and fitting that it was the last album too.
Not a huge fan of Led Zeppelin, not just because of the stealing from other artists, but because they weren't the best rock act of their era. Black Sabbath imo made better iconic rock tracks song for song, Jimi Hendrix pushed the envelope more on what rock could be, and the Velvet Underground were more versatile with their sound.
Death Grips are my favorite music act, and they have an undeniable talent for presenting experimental elements in music in a poppy manner that's more easily digestible. While TMS is easily their best work hands down, 'The Powers That B' show off their versatility.
