I think you gave the Best description for Revolver that I've ever seen. It has the ambition, complexity, plus the joy and "humble" attitude of the early Beatles, all perfectly mixed together. It is my favorite album of theirs, perfection.

Revolver, the Self-Titled, and Abbey Road are all some of my favorite albums of all-time, and Abbey Road has to be their crown jewel. Honestly, not a huge fan of Sgt. Peppers. It sounds like they took yellow submarine (my least favorite track from Revolver) and decided to make an entire album out of it. The whole project ends up sounding like grandparent music, even though the record is still great and lush with instrumentation and experimentation. Magical Mystery Tour does a lot of the experimentation that Sgt. Peppers tried to do better, even though it's the inferior of the two albums imo. Rubber Soul is easily the best of the original Beatles run (before they quit touring) and everything that came before is arguably mediocre aside from a very small handful of tracks (Help!, Yesterday, and Hard Day's Night come to mind). Let it be is alright, but its legacy is tarnished by the fact that it came out after Abbey Road due to various issues in the production phase.
100% agree… sgt peppers isnt a consistent quality album. songs like getting better, fixing a hole and good morning are decent at best for beatles tracks. for the benefit of mr kite and when im 64 are super grandparent music material. within without you is too long. revolver and abbey road are better imo

Dont let me down is the most popular beatle song on youtube by far, and that wasnt in let it be. didnt get why lady madonna wasnt in yellow sumbarine. one reason why i dont listen to rolling stones albums often, they dropped of their best songs too, i mean, Paint it black aint in their uk albums, thats the most iconic stones song. or two of my other favs. ruby thuesday and lets spend the night togheter. in Uk, it was normal to give out their best songs as singles only, and not included in their albums. they felt that it would be weird if u had to pay double up just to listen to the songs again in their albums aswell when u already had the single. not the same in the US, i dont think 7inch was big there. and thats why u can find beatles nr1 hits in the US albums. even today, I still find it weird that some pink floyd songs like another brick in the wall, Time or comfortable numb are in their albums. Makes sense why led zeppelin have all their songs in their albums, they didnt give out any singles. I know whatever from oasis wasnt included in the defintely maybe album. as u see, im not a huge fan of listenting to albums. but i love Abbey road, let it be and magical mystery tour
Abbey road could be the most iconic album ever in human histry, everyone has seen that pic and if u go to italy, spain, latin america etc, shops at the beach etc, always sell t shirts with the album on, and Here comes the sun could also be the most iconic song ever.
i think abbey road is their best work, but i have a huge feeling for their Let it be album. its a very sad, emotional, something we ppl will go through one day. songs like The long and winding road, let it be, across the universe, Two of us are so real. u are right with the maigcal mystery album. alot of the songs were only given out as singles, but that US version with their hits came to Uk in the 80s i think

Yeah yellow submarine sucks, but Hey Bulldog is one of my top 10 favorite Beatles songs. So good.

The other Beatles didn't reject George's songs like All Things Must Pass. He rejected them himself and wanted to save them for his solo album
