Wow. The attention you guys give these reviews is always more than we deserve. Another fantastic video, the set looks really great favourite gotta be the Goblin Translation paper love it.
Haha, thank you so much! Grady put an enormous amount of work into the editing and special effects on this video. It looks almost seamless in the final product, but you can see his process over on our Instagram page: instagram.com/thegallantgoblin/. -Theo
I literally spend tens of thousands of dollars on Dwarven Forge and minis and books, and even for me Beadle and Grimm's products are over-priced. This Silver edition is closer to reasonable, but man, those limited editions are only for those who reaaaallly have too much money on their hands. I'm jealous. :)
It is certainly a luxury product. I'm glad they're experimenting with different price points. Perhaps we'll see bronze editions in the future for under $100 that will open up the content to even more people. As it is, I think it's reasonable to consider something like this a group purchase. If 5 players and a DM all plan to enjoy the adventure, and each throw in $30, it suddenly becomes a much more manageable investment. I honestly think that player "buy-in" (at some price level) should be an expected part of the RPG experience. -Theo
Amazing intro and production! But the best part is, as always, the detailed presentation and analysis of this new product. This box set looks amazing! It is a bit too expensive for my budget, but love all the attention they put into the items included. Good job Gallant Goblin crew! You have well earned an extra ration of rhum mates! (By the way, do you know if there will be a Ghosts of Saltmarsh themed miniature set in the Icon of the Realm collection?)
Thank you for the kind words! It looks like Icons of the Realms will be skipping Ghosts of Saltmarsh (unless you count the Falling Star ship that they already released). The next two announced releases, which covers the remainder of 2019, will be for Baldur's Gate: Descent Into Avernus (which is the next D&D adventure coming out this fall) and a "Monster Menagerie" of sorts that will be for monsters from Volo's Guide to Monsters and Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes. It is possible both will have creatures that appear in Saltmarsh, but there will not be a set specifically named for Ghosts of Saltmarsh. -Grady
@@TheGallantGoblin Thank you for the quick answer. Keep up the good work!
Quality content!
Thank you kindly! -Theo
So... you guys moved house into a house boat?!? Excellent video as always
Haha, thank you! After surviving Hurricane Harvey in Houston we fully believe that a house that can turn into a boat is excellent to have.
First of all, congratulations, this video was next level! I loved the thematic clothes and the use of the green screen! Your quality keeps getting better! Now I have to put a "Gallant Goblin" ship in my next campaing hahahaha
About the product, i really enjoy it, I think the only problem to me was that putting the artwork pieces over the DM's screen is a little bit visually unpleasant because it is too much information , but just that haha
Thank you! We're glad you didn't find the thematic elements distracting or unpleasant and we'd love to hear what adventures your Gallant Goblin ship encounters, even if the players sink it! We've definitely had situations in our home games where art over the DM screen would've worked well for us, but it absolutely depends on each group's preference. We also don't use initiative trackers on the DM screen though (we have little standup cards we hand out to each player). In the heat of combat, those plus multiple encounter cards could definitely get crowded. -Grady
I hope they make something like this for Curse of Strahd!!!
Oh yeah, support for older modules would be cool! They're a 5-man shop though so I think they're just keeping up with new releases for now, but they could surprise us! -Grady
They are now, but unfortunately for the new PC edition.
Fo a review of curse of strahd legendary edition
couldn't find this set or the dragon heist one anywhere, I guess they were a very limited run and sold out :(
The platinum boxes are only produced once. The silver edition boxes can get multiple print runs if there's demand, so be sure to let them know that you're interested! -Theo
I'm not sure if this can compete with avernus
I mean seriously what could beat plush lulu
Haha! To be fair, this one is at a much lower price point than the Avernus one. The real question is if we get a Lord of Blades plush in the Eberron set. -Grady
would you guys ever consider selling the battle maps?
Probably not any time soon since I plan to run the module next year. Haven't had the chance to use all the fancy stuff yet. :-) -Theo
Theo is a gay icon
Ha! Those are words that I never expected to read! I'll take it though! :-P -Theo
