Regarding the mini inclusion, I felt that way before I had a larger mini collection. Keep in mind the goal is to target the “got money but no time” market. All I need are key setpiece minis, I can supplement with my collection. A brick of minis is $110 for 32; considering the premium paid for picked rares I’d value the 20 at $100, which brings the total kit cost down to $300. Which is $125 more than Silver for canvas maps, handouts, tiles, and other extras. Plus there is the extra time spent opening a brick, cross checking your take, then ordering supplements from the aftermarket.

Just bought the silver after watching this currently running the campaign and thought it would be useful, just wish the silver came with the fortress battle map
I know this is an oldish comment but if you or anyone else see's this Jared Blando is an illustrator and cartographer that does work for Beadle & Grimm and WotC. He has his own website where he sells maps and battle maps and it seems the rime of the frostmaiden stuff is on his stuff for sale. Not sure if it's everything but it's a good chunk. Really wish they stated where (if applicable) you can buy these maps separately because someone like me will never be able to afford these expensive premium products
I wish I'd have known about this before. I'll have to check this site for future releases. Any time table on when you will review the Warlock Tiles curves and angles? Been waiting on your thoughts on those.
I'll have to check with Theo. He's been down with strep for the last week. We owe Archon Studio coverage of their Dungeons & Lasers Woodhaven Kickstarter by May 4, but that's the only must-do video in the next couple weeks, and I know the Curves and Angles are out/releasing soon, so we'll try to prioritize that. -Grady

Personally I already have the figures and the book. I wish there were a way to buy the components of either box without purchasing something else expensive that I don't have use for.
Unfortunately while their store sells the jewelry pieces separately, they don't do the same for the maps or handouts, which are likely to be the other main draws of the box.

This is a neat video but why do this when the product is already sold out? I will never ever give someone $500 before knowing the product specifics. As such, B&G will never get my money.
1) There's a silver edition which contains many of the same items, and we go over the differences at the end of the video. The silver edition is still available. 2) Many of the same types of content recur through all the platinum boxes, and B&G has steadily been more forthcoming about what's in their boxes since the original Dragon Heist announcement. Seeing how they present contents like the adventure booklets, maps, art sheets, stat block cards, GM screen, bonus encounters, pregen characters... every single platinum box includes those, so those who are interested in a future platinum box can have a much better sense of what they will get. 3) A lot of "sold out" products we cover can be bought, in whole or in part, on after market sites like eBay. It's part of our channel mission to cover limited edition products if they are officially D&D-licensed products (like the colossal red dragon from 3.5e days, the anniversary sapphire dice, and B&G products), partly because there's a lot of viewer interest in these products and to let folks make an informed decision themselves whether limited edition products from these companies/WotC partners are worth pursuing.
Why isn't this a standard for D&D and all their adventures again? I still think that if they made this more available and affordable, they would have a higher rate of new players instead of those shitty started set boxes.
Grady here. I'm the one responsible for editing it once Theo finishes filming his stuff and therefore the one who caused the delay. We try to be pretty transparent about what's happening with our production on social media. Just my part editing a B&G video typically takes about 20 hours. Immediately after filming this our stuff got put in storage for a month while we moved to a different state, I had to onboard into a new job position (which I'm still working at full time), one of our cats had a medical emergency and got diagnosed with cancer, our entire state froze over and lost power for a week, we had to buy a new house and sell the old one in the middle of a pandemic, and we were still maintaining a 2-3 video a week release schedule. So you can see how those 20 hours of editing had to squeeze in where they could.
