      @NPC #40249 like i said though i was a kid, and I'm sure no matter what kid they grew up idolizing someone despite what they believe in, wheather it be someone as a father figure or someone whos morals aline with yours, trust me these days i respect him more than anything but either way I'm agnostic, so to me i was really hoping this wouldn't become a religious debate of some sorts, so as much as i dislike the other guy i don't see why my first comment warranted a response when i clearly said i was kid, not everything has to be about religion, i feel like if thats what you believe then good for you but i don't know why me saying we should be trying to protect our environment and leave a smaller carbon footprint triggered something religious to come out, cause to me its like the point that we should be more mindful of our planet got lost and everyone chose to focus on something religious, this is why I'm agnostic, cause picking sides is not good to me, its either left or right, good and bad, nothing is as black and white and the picture that either side tries to understand is far broader than what anyone can paint, so while everyone is worrying about whos wrong or right the actual picture gets lost in the grey no one dares to cross into, maybe everyone needs to take a step back and reflect on whats really important, cause if we focus too much on who believes in what and whos on whos side your childrens children will be living in a wasteland, so focused on where WE go when your gone no concern about where the future generations are going, condemned to suffer for all our "sins"

      I mean to be fair, that was a similar experience to the one I had when I had the chance to get close to our closest cousins in the animal world.
      My local Zoo has the largest ape enclosure in the world, and I visit there fairly often because its such a calming atmosphere.
      I remember just the other day, I was sat in absolute shock watching a Bonobo maybe 2 feet away from me on the other side of a pane of glass using the reflection in it to locate and pull a splinter out of his lip, and I... That made something with me that I cannot quite explain.
      I mean you always hear that the (other) Great Apes are very human in their skills and looks, but seeing it taking place inches away in real-time is another story entirely. It profoundly impacts how you see humanity as a concept, and even apart from deeper philosophical epiphanies, in my opinion, it just causes this odd, warm, fuzzy feeling - not unlike love - when you realize that you aren't just some special individual looking at nature, but that you are, indeed, part of nature, and that you share a common ancestry and most of your genetics with these gentle giants.
      Very Humbling, in a good way.

      +LilMOMMAson I can respect your decision, and while I'm a HUGE fan of wildlife/animals, hunting is unfortunately necessary, especially when it comes to certain types of animals. For example, White-Tail Deer have to be hunted due to exploding numbers here in New England. There are soooo many WTD and because of an ever-increasing number of humans and encroachment into more lands, that is a VERY bad combination, which results in gov't officials unanimously encouraging hunting (over a finite hunting season) so that it ultimately saves the WTD and humans (from accidents, deer running out into highways, etc.).
      Besides, I only hunt what I plan on eating. I DETEST trophy hunting for tigers, rhinos, etc. I find the latter 100% reprehensible.

      Humans are animals, but we have the distinct disadvantage of thinking we're something a lot more evolved. The problem with humans is that we often cling to unfounded biases (such as the one previously stated).
      Animals are more logical than humans because they only cling to founded biases.

    • @Tim-K.
      @Tim-K. 4 роки тому +3

      Aylbdr Madison Have you ever heard other animals speak or communicate a lot of information in another manner (thus not simple reactions)? Humans hear a lot of humans speak and humans read a lot of texts written/typed by humans, thus it’s only logical, that you have heard and read a lot of illogical ideas, etc., this doesn’t mean that humans are more illogical compared to other animal species.
      Due to the high intelligence of our species, we are able to be arrogant and it makes us much more conscious as well. We are able to think of many solutions for problems, some are unrealistic, some realistic, but a lot of animals can’t even think of one.
      The life of a lot of animals is just simply surviving, by eating, drinking, sleeping and avoiding to be killed, life is simple for them, some have more options due to their intelligence, e.g.: octopi, chimpanzees, orangutans, dolphins and elephants. But life is much simpler and they can’t even comprehend a lot of subjects, that humans encounter very frequently.
      Thus to state, that humans are more illogical than other animals is ironically illogical, because we know what logic means and perhaps a few animals could be potentially taught what it means, but still they would not have more logic than humans.

    Never felt the loss of someone I've never met before, at the level i did when Steve passed. Like many, many of the other people who grew up watching, being inspired by, and idolizing /looking up to Steve, i was absolutely devastated by his loss. 18 years later, i still will be brought to tears thinking about it, or when i watch old clips of him such as this. He wss too good for this world. I truly believe he was one of the kindest, most beautiful, inspirational, wonderful people to ever live. It's amazing to see his children carrying on his wonderful legacy.
