It's true! Clara was reportedly seen alone, without baby Clarita. After a thorough search of the area, we discovered that Clarita was being ‘cared for’ by Rizki, a 14-year-old male orangutan, and his friends. You can read more here > bit.ly/ClaraClarita

While what you are saying is likely true the link you provided is not for Clara and Clarita.
I just checked the link! And they did give the right link! and everything is true! Maybe you didn't read carefully or maybe you are too lazy to read all of them? It's at the last end of the article! Here i will give it to you, cwnash71 :
In addition to these five orangutans, Bangamat Island also welcomed the arrival of mother-infant pair Clara and Clarita. Baby Clarita was unexpectedly born and first spotted by our team in early July 2017, on Salat Island. A few days later, Clara was reportedly seen alone, without baby Clarita. After a thorough search of the area, we discovered that Clarita was being ‘cared for’ by Rizki, a 14-year-old male orangutan, and his friends.
Unfortunately Rizki didn’t want to part with Clarita and although he was extremely gentle with the newborn, he obviously was not her mother and of course he couldn’t feed her. After several attempts to rescue baby Clarita, our Technicians managed to safely retrieve her on July 18. She was suffering from a bad rash thought to be caused by rangas sap and she was also suffering from malnutrition, due to having been separated from her breastfeeding mother. Clarita was immediately taken to our clinic for intensive care. At the time, Clara seemed to be in hiding on Salat and in early August, Clara reappeared. We suspected she had been avoiding the other orangutans on the island - in particular, Rizki who had taken her daughter. We quickly took Clara to Nyaru Menteng to be reunited with Clarita.
Meanwhile, baby Clarita was getting better, albeit with a rash still visible here and there. Initially, we were concerned that Clara might feel disconnected from her infant given that they had been apart for more than two weeks. However, we were very relieved to be wrong, and once baby Clarita was put in Clara’s arms by her Babysitter, the gentle mother embraced her baby tightly to her chest, as though she would never let her go.
To avoid another opportunity for Rizki to take on the role of surrogate mother - or in this case, surrogate father - our team decided to move the mother-infant pair to Bangamat Island instead of Salat. To this day, Clarita continues to suckle and be doted on by loving mother Clara.
The transfer of these seven brings the number of orangutans on Bangamat Island to 34 individuals. Nyaru Menteng’s team of dedicated Technicians will continue to monitor their progress on the island. We hope all seven continue to grow into fully independent orangutans, and when they graduate from this ‘university’, will be ready for life the wild.
You're welcome! Don't forget to donate, they did an amazing job!
Tricky Troy, read the description above or click on the link that they provided.
besides the pain of watching them with those rashes and scabs on the skin, the very next thing that left me wondering was: why the heck a new mother/ Orang utan being put-up in such a miserable place where she can not even stretch her arms!

although i'm from Bharat en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bhārat_Gaṇarājya, i've briefly stayed in Id (nearly two decades back).. and i can only fathom a guess that if it wasn't specifically for some quarantine or segregation (rash or other suspect condition)
then sadly, that is how often smaller animals (sometimes even livestock or other animals) get cramped up in many facilities.
I'm not showing Id in bad light or anything, this is true even in my homeland Bharat.. and for that matter.. even in the so called 'developed' Murica.. have seen kennels and shelters and even other seemingly 'exotic' animal trading stores and facilities cage them or keep them in deplorable conditions! :-/

For those saying that the cage is small, let me fill you in on something. I worked with rescued big cats at a sanctuary for over 7 years (see my picture). Most cages have small areas that stick out where treats are given so the animals will enter it willingly. These small areas are used to provide veterinary care and to allow keepers to get a good close up view to monitor physical well being and to look for wounds or skin problems. Quarantine areas and sick bays are also small for the same reason, as well as keeping sick animals from over exertion. Practical exotic animal husbandry sometimes requires putting animals like strong primates or aggressive big cats in small enclosures temporarily. It's necessary and only temporary.
Tango's Mom bell thanks for commenting on this! People jump to conclusions way too much. To me its quite obvious they have a very bad skin condition and would need to act in the best interest of all the orangutans and humans.

@@nomoesco lol yourself ms. naive. I've worked with these beautiful, timid and highly sentient creatures. Nothing about Clara's demeanor, situation or emotional state was in any way conducive to an expectation of aggression. Only humans would overlook the obvious in favour of bureaucratic rules.
better safe than sorry. you know these words?
definitely with @nyah nelson on this one and have high doubts oriel has worked with anything like this
I agree with Clara's keeper. I sensed absolutely NO aggression or hostility in Clara as the saw her daughter. If anything, she was curious and very gentle. The way she caressed her daughter's head was almost protective....like she knew instinctively "this is MY baby". And then, when they opened the cage and returned the little one to her and she held her baby, you could CLEARLY see the mother-love shining in Clara's eyes as she held her baby. And she immediately let her baby nurse. It was like she was saying "I got this now. She's mine". I am glad mother and daughter are reunited. .
Some primate mothers are GREAT. Some are pretty rough!! Some are just plain LETHAL.... This is a great mother! In Long Tail Macaques often the mothers nurse the babies TOO LONG because they don't want to put them through the weening stage!!
STOP IM CRYING
@@Gh0stPeppr I'm sure these keepers are very experienced and they know each animal's personality and behavior intimately. And I'm sure they were reading Clara as they re-introduced her to the baby to see how she was going to react.....if she would accept Clarita or if she would reject her. And Clarita is tiny. I'm sure if the carer thought there was the SLIGHTEST chance that Clara would harm or reject her precious baby, they would not have allowed her to have the baby in the cage. But if you look in Clara's eyes, you can CLEARLY see she has no such aggression toward the baby whatsoever. There was nothing but love there.

When I had my first baby I was worried I wouldn't know how to care for him. My dad reminded me I knew exactly how to care for my cats and that babies were much the same. He was absolutely right. When my baby hurt himself I was half way up the stairs before I even registered he was crying.

Yes. A mom is a mom
the savage Don’t think of it as horrible. Since you said gave birth that means it gave live birth not eggs, I’ll assume it’s a guppy or some other common species of live bearer. Livebearers have lots of babies in the first place to ensure some survive predation and they breed. In the home aquarium it’s an enclosed space so the babies don’t get to get so far or disperse. Depending on the tank size it may not be enough space for all of them full grown the mother eats the least agile ones and the babies with the best genes survive, improving the health of the species as a whole. Although the fish has has no ability to think of all this it simply happens, you must trim the hedge to keep it healthy. Contrarily cichlids are very loving parents constructing homes for their eggs and protecting them and going further to protect them and lead them to food when the hatch.
I agree regardless of the species, which is why baby cows shouldn’t be ripped from their mothers and the Male calves killed so we can drink there milk.

If we humans get sick then we are put in a hospital bed wired up with all sorts of technology so that we can be monitored and treated... not much different for the Abe here. When baby and mother are both healthy again then they get out.🙂
Ashley Ervin Agreed, doing something about it is better than just complaining. These sanctuaries for orangutans are doing amazing work. But thinking of animals who do live in cages, in zoos - what can we do about that? I have always felt zoos should be abolished as keeping a wild animal caged for our viewing pleasure is just wrong. It’s like life imprisonment for these animals, who suffer from psychosis, suicidal behavior, illnesses and higher mortality rates in zoos. If they are under threat of extinction, put them in protected forests. If they are sick, put them in sanctuaries like this. We don’t need zoos.
You know that scene in Disneys "Dumbo" when the momma elephant sneaks her trunk out just to hold her baby? Well, this little video is showing the bond between mother and child is even stronger! My heart started beating faster watching Clara try to unscrew that latch!🥰🥰🥰

Oh my gosh that’s exactly what I was thinking 😭 that was always the most heartbreaking scene to me
@Remains Anonymous
What do cows (domesticated farm animals) have to do with orangutans (endangeeed wild animals)? And furthermore, why do you keep preaching about cows? Who died and granted their Ph.D. in animal husbandry or DVM to you? We do not separate the calves from their moms on the first day after birth, they need the colostrum and if separated, have to be bottle fed. Apparrntly you do not know much about dairy farms or cows in general. You just keep adding whatever nut or soy milk you prefer to your chai tea and I will add cow milk to mine. And you probably do not know a Holstein or Jersey from an Angus or Herford.
I always cry when I recall it.. it was so painful yet beautifully sweet moment 😭❤️
This is totally like that!!! I never thought of that!! 😭😭😭
I love how they kiss their babies just like we do!
Ape's are the animal which act the most like humans
I know lacey
Well humans are apes and very closely related to orangutans, so yeah they do a lot of things that may look human.
@@sheoulgra haha, yeah, bonobos are something else
Kissing is a great tool for social animals. Besides the affection encouraging social bonding, it facilitates an exchange of microbes through saliva. In this way families and whole tribes can share their biological immunities, strengthening them against sickness.
Those vets are amazing people! ♥️
Oh my God, I was holding my breath that the mother wouldn't reject her child. Then, when the mom gently put her hand on her baby's head, I was flooded with emotion. Good people making the world better.
Ben M there’s no real reason to use God’s name in vain? Especially after God is the one responsible for such kind of good moments. Repent of your blasphemy and call upon Jesus to save you.
Jesus or Putin?
@@godschild6417 Jesus just spoke to me and approved my message. He said love. caring, empathy, and respect for all his creations is much appreciated and great to invoke her name with.
The Lord also told me not to worry about your comment, since such such self-righteousness, hypocrisy, ignorance, and vanity is a social, mental, and political disease.
She would neither confirm or deny that if you're actually a Russian troll seeking to stoke religious tensions in America. She said even if you were, your judgment day awaits you like it does everyone else.
Clara= most precious mom ever.
One of these days humans are going to be in a huge surprise as to exactly how intelligent these animals really are.
I am in tears……Mother and child bonding. Too sweet. It seems animals treat their babies better than SOME mothers. .
These people that take care of these animals are amazing
She laid down with her baby and nursed just as I did with my own.
@Pappy Van Winkle a real woman? you good bro? 💀
@@smolpanda9995 Ignore the troll mate, the waste has been making multitude of negative comments on all the orangutan channels. Could be a palm oil sympathizer or worse, I'm going for the latter...
@@Tinhamodic l
@Pappy Van Winkle you seem to have a lot of repressed emotions
@Pappy Van Winkle A real woman? She probably just wanted to feed her child so bad, and to make sure that they had everything that they ever needed, that isn't lazy
You all are so kind for the job you do. Your all heaven sent Angel's!
That poor baby looks pitiful! I hope they both bond and get well soon!
Oh someone is cutting onions on my home again
Heres some Kleenex ooooooo 🤗😂😭😭😭♥️♥️♥️
@SiSTEMa CUBANGO kOMPA DIRECT 1970 SCA CD 1970 thanks 🥺🥺
Damn ninjas
Oh my God they are just like human, more than human actually.
They are more carefully like some humans are
To chutiye tu kay soch rha tha plus humans r the real animals these days
@ritemoelaw_books83 They said, "Screw Eachother over", not, "Screw eachother", lol. Two very different definitions.
@sniff sniff
1) pretty sure they can and 2) they aren't smart enough
One reunited baby doesn’t make them human!! Many times they kill there own baby!! I guess they are like some humans who love abortion and stuff like that. Those humans are more like the beast!! But no they are not like humans at all!!
До слез. Хорошие, заботливые сотрудники.

It is so beautiful to see the expression of love in the mothers eyes as her baby is returned to her.....

im breastfeeding my baby while watching this . crying my eyes out! these animals are the most amazing ! such a beautiful video . they are just like humans
Yeah I honestly don't view apes or monkeys as animals. They are too much like us that I just subconsciously view them as a different type of person from me.
@@4amcripple I mean, we are animals ourselves, and tend to forget that.
My youngest is 8 now breast fed him for 3 yrs 4 months...enjoy it girl, babies are just precious❤️
@@Subvishy Are you supposed to breastfeed for that long? Most babies I’ve seen start drinking from bottles around 2, but maybe I just stopped young.
@@dad6035 well, yeah he was a bit late. My daughter stopped at 1 and a half but he would drink from a glass too, he just also would suckle...
Wonderful to see but hard to think about their suffering. When she nursed her baby it brought tears to my eyes. It was beautiful.
I’m in tears, I haven’t had my 2 year old for a week and it’s been rough. To see the mum happily accept her baby back was beautiful.
So heart warmingly beautiful to watch Claira take her baby into her arms ever so gently and hold her lovingly to her chest was absolutely heart warming the vet team did a fantastic job in reintroducing mother and baby back together.
Mama Clara is such a loving mother. So happy for their reunion. ❤️ all the best to them. And thank you to the veterinarians and staff. You’re amazing.
Трогательно до слёз...

Here I am crying my eyes out. 4 am in the morning. How can such humans kill or even think about hurting these innocent animals? People like them deserve every hell coming their way.

@@angycucumber4319 oh it’s the spell checking bum hole to the rescue....TWAT!!!!!
Sadly its not that black and white and most people that do it are forced to do so to try and earn some money so they can feed their families
There are a lot of people that don't even have empathy for other humans, how do we expect from them have empathy for other species.
That was one of the most beautiful and heart touching moments I have ever seen! Bless you all. What a gifted animal worker...her energy and emotion was very well translated and shared with the beautiful orangutan!
So moving...so HUMAN. and yet "humans" are destroying these beautiful animals as they tear down their homes....Humans should be warned that their own fates are not that different from what is being done to our beautiful relatives...
We can’t all be judged the same,
Exactly
you are correct. I am from part of the universe where deforestation is happening at a fast rate....
heartbreaking...
This is the best I have seen for ages ..fill your heart with joy..dear mama Clar and baby..
So precious.😭😭😭😭 a mother’s love is so special. I couldn’t help it, I cried like a baby. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
So beautiful!!! Anyone that doubts the humanity of our fellow apes should watch this!!! Mama loves her sweet baby!!!
Elani Aniyvwia i agree!! But you know that ALL animals have this depth of love and emotion, especially when it comes to mothers and their offspring whether mammal or not, thats why NO animal should be ill treated nor used for food and humanity should leave them and their habitat well alone instead of polluting with our plastic use, cutting rainforests down etc,we need to realise that this planet is home to many more creatures than just humans and need to understand that eveything has its place and deserves to live in peace without any disturbance by us and our destructive ways!! This planet does not just belong to us and as amazing and beautiful that this truely was to witness, these orangutans wouldn't need human intervention if not for some humans killing these animals mothers and habitats in the first place, even though these people are doing fantastic work to try and repair the damage done,it shouldnt be happening in the first place in my opinion!
Champazees will eat another after waging war on each other. They really are our fellow apes.
Not trying to argue, but to every loving side of animals, there is a dark side.
Only human's humanity is questionable.
@flairfan101 I bet if you were born in the wild and were raised that way, you'd have to get accustomed to that way of life and that means you would be doing the same thing.
Thanks for being concerned about this mother and baby. x
awe the poor babies cry is so heartbreaking yet so adorable. Beautiful moment
That kills me inside ....the mother knows that's her baby & her opening the locked cage then even the baby knew how to feed its self... Come on its 2019 we have to do better
They are just being careful.... dont worry they are fine now.
Lovelyloi Kevin van Etten JUST STOP IT ....god forbid three goons brake into your place & take your loved one & they tell you Don’t worry they are fine now...I’m sure you would be kinda bothered 😕 by that
