The love and expertise Robert has for animals is incredible both him and Bindi. Steve did an excellent job in teaching them about animals when they were babies. @@AlexJones-j7uit's a shame Steve Irwin's dad treated his children so badly. Well according to Bindi her grandfather SteveIrwin's Dad never had anything nice to say to her. According to an article I read on Google. Sometimes love can't be forced upon people. I couldn't be forced to love my uncle on my dad's side of the family who I met when I was just 10 years old. You don't have to like someone because he's family. Sometimes a bond between a grandchild and his or her grandfather or grandmother happens naturally and sometimes it doesn't. I'm not affected in any way cause I'm not related. I really like Terri Irwin and her children. I have nothing bad to say about Steve Irwin's dad. It is what is. Doesn't matter who's right or not. At the end of the day people will take sides like they always do with whatever subject is being discussed.

Step dad did a lot with me taught me a lot but was very very abusive physically and emotionally. All I ever wanted was a dad's love. I kept my heart open and I forgive my step dad. I got 2 maybe 3 years with him before he died where I was proud to call him my dad and myself his son. He was a good grandpa as well. I lost him in June of 2021 at 27 years old to a brain bleed on the tennis court and I miss him a lot more than I ever thought I would. I spent years wanting nothing to do with that man. I spent his last full day alive with him. We went to church and breakfast. I took the kids to the park and then up to his house to swim and play. Kids played dad and I sat on the deck and just talked about life stresses struggles hopes and dreams. He was my dad finally and i was his son. It was a beautiful thing for me to have that closure right before he died. Keep your heart open and choose to love people. Life is way to short and unexpected to not choose love.

It's never too late to reach that goal of yours. Even though Steve isn't with us- he lives on through the work and legacy he's left behind and he lives on in his children; especially Robert with how alike they are. If you can, definitely still go to Australia and perhaps visit the sanctuary. Heck, depending on how old you are and if you have a family of your own, show them what made you love Irwin and what he did for wildlife when you were young. That's how people like Steve live on; those of us who loved him will tell stories of him and what he did and achieved.
I remember feeling so upset when hearing he'd passed away, myself and my little brother used to religiously watch Steve Irwin shows. I remember my little brother constantly playing a Wiggles ft. Steve Irwin special, every. single. day. (I can still remember a few of the songs). The world has never really quite felt the same without him - but watching the Irwin children grow as I grew up as well, it's always been so nice and reassuring to see that Steve's legacy has continued and that his family are well and healthy.

Lost my dad at 18 to hep c from a 80's blood transfusion. If the transplant didn't fail, if he had lived 10 more years there was a cure. Lost my grandmother, my second mom, at 29. She lost her first child when he was 17. She lost my dad as well. Probably the only thing worse than losing a parent. She lost both her babies and didn't recover from that despite me trying to coax her into getting counseling. My condolences to you. It's not a good club to be in. Once you've lost a parent at any age, you really feel for someone who loses their's. My father in law lost his dad a couple year back. He's in his 50s. His dad was in his 80s. Even though he is older, I know what kind of pain he was feeling. It's to a good club to be in at any age. Nothing ever fills that hole.

@@mikegamerguy4776 sorry for your loss. The point in specifying the age and the point in my comment in general was to just recognize the widows and widowers out there who have to carry on in life without their spouse (such as Mrs. Irwin) I wasn’t trying to say the kids who lost parent young have it worse. Sorry if it sounded like that.

Steve Irwin was a huge part of my childhood. His love for animals was infectious. He love for life was palpable. His love for his family always came through. Its amazing to see Robert following in Steve's footsteps. Also, shout out to Terri. It couldn't have been easy when Steve passed, but its obvious, she has done an amazing job.

My husband and I can often be heard to say how much poorer the world is without Steve. There are many people working hard with animals and they all have their own passion, but Steve was something special and his energy and enthusiasm introduced so many people to the animal world. The world is just different and to me poorer, for losing him.

What a wonderful little family they are.
Terri did so well raising the kiddos to be just as enthusiastic and respectful as their father was.
