Koko's Tribute to Robin Williams
Вставка
- Опубліковано 12 сер 2014
- Robin Williams met Koko in 2001. It was a very cheerful encounter for both, and Koko has treasured it to this day. When Koko learned of Robin's passing (on Aug. 11, 2014) she became very sad. We hope this video will lift her spirits and remind everyone of the profound gift of joy that Robin Williams brought to our world.
The fact that Koko tickled Robin cause tickling makes her laugh, she wanted to make him laugh too. A gorilla wanted to make human genuinely happy out of her own will, that just blows my mind. They're so damn smart, they don't belong in zoos
any animals don't belong in zoos
but in the wild, either the poachers will get them or the species will go extinct because of habitat destruction BY HUMAN. orangutans and palm oil for example. if humans go on like this, in less than 20 years these guys have no place to call home. good zoos who take their job seriously are protecting the animals from evil humans and saving the species by having breeding program and release back into a safe place in the wild like a protected nature reserve. so yes, zoos are an absolute necessity. but it is only the human who is to blame for this!
I don't want to eat any part of any animal anymore...
@@yegoallan8560 nice try vegan
Its true though. I'm sure meeting Koko shaped how RW viewed the world. It is a really harsh mental jump to make, that animals might seem more sincere in caring about you than the humans you rely on. Just my take.
Not sure if I'm here for Koko or Robin Williams
Maybe a little of both koko and robin Williams together🤔💡

Being murdered and having the world think you deleted yourself, has to be one of the most shameful deaths. Google his autopsy. Read the 2nd paragraph. He was found with his butt touching the ground in the seating position with something around his neck and around a doorknob. Impossible scenario for suicide.
I know, this life is very stressful when you’re dealing with health issues, especially emotional distress in the form of depression & anxiety along with all the other pressures & trials of life that can be so overwhelming. For those of us who suffer with these conditions, maintaining emotional stability is an essential everyday priority. How vital it is that we all learn our limitations with respect to what we can handle versus what we cannot. It differs greatly from person to person.

OMG. Did Koko die? When? I didn´t know that.
This one made me cry, tears of joy and sadness. I was blessed because I worked on 5 of Robin's films. One day I asked him what it was like to meet Koko. A huge smile came over his face. "Amazing. It changed my consciousness, forever."
I could see that he was in love with Koko. Whenever his children were on set, he had a discernable 'sparkle' in his eyes. And when he talked about her he had that same twinkle in his eyes - which also 'smiled.' He said that she saw all that hair all over his body and must have thought he was at least part simian. Because his body hair was 'an issue' and one that he joked about on occasion. I laughed. Not just because almost everything that he ever said was funny in and of itself but because on one film in particular (Father's Day) we were filming in downtown Reno, NV, and it was getting pretty hot out and he was across the street meeting and greeting all of his fans who got the usual show - he absolutely LOVED entertaining his fans whenever he got the chance. Being on the crew and behind the scenes was at times riotous. The lines that he improved and that eventually wound up on the cutting room floor were always far funnier than the scripted lines which wound up on the film.
When he was done he had them all laughing and smiling and came over to where I was at, and said, "Damn its getting hot" and then proceeded to take off his shirt. I noticed that quite a few of the people looked almost shocked, stunned even. We were within earshot of the onlookers so I said, "Wow. Thats a really nice sweater youre wearing Robin, where'd you get it?"
And as usual, he delivered a line without a moment's hesitation (he was so quick on his feet), he said, "You like it? I got it for my birthday." The crowd cracked up.
A little known aspect of Robin's career, which I saw so many times on set, was how he would have lunch with Make-a-Wish children, who were diagnosed with terminal conditions and just wanted to meet this wonderful person they enjoyed watching on TV or in a movie - usually Aladdin - and unlike every other 'star' instead of going to his trailer, he would pour his heart out to these kids for an hour, and give them shirts and hats and signed posters, and laughter, and maybe even hope.
He was the nicest person I ever met in the film industry and maybe even in my life. I had a genuine respect and love for that man. I was so happy to see this video of their meeting for the first time after all these years later.
Bless both their Souls. Knowing Robin was amazing, and I am saddened that these two great Souls are gone, but both of these 'Angels' changed the consciousness of the world and have returned to the place from whence they came. I miss him. But he earned his ticket back home and I hope he has healed all the hurt that he kept hidden in his heart, while he was busy making everyone else laugh.
I miss Koko too. Just the idea of what Penny and her did to change peoples awareness regarding the true nature of animals and their beautiful spirits and their heartfelt emotions, and their innate understanding of human nature, and their ability to forgive us and our ignorance of all that they are, has rung a bell for the whole world (and especially within me) that cant be unrung. So true. Nonhuman animals, even reptiles, could sense this. I use to work at a wildlife center and there were reptiles there that would be so nice to me, there was even an aggressive lizard and a bald eagle who were violent towards others, but not to me. The combination of ASD and the depression that follows with having disabilities made them sympathize in their own way. They knew I wasn't like the other caretakers at the facility. The tortoises loved me, because they knew I would give them extra collard greens and scratched their shells a bit, during feeding time. 🥰🥰🥰 The bald eagle would just sit on his log and one time I was tired I sat next to him, but he would just stare at me. I would never do eye contact because of my autism, so my eyes would point to his feet. With other caregivers he would scream, flap his wings violently and charge at them, but he could sense I wasn't like them. I walk with a limp due to being pushed down the stairs too many times back at high school. I never walked the same, so the animals at the wildlife center knew I was abused by humans like they were. I have so much love and understanding for my nonhuman animal friends. I got connected and loved a vulture there name Victor. She ()the story was that everyone thought she was a he until she laid an egg but the name got stuck) got blinded by humans who used her as target practiced for their crossbows. Humans can be so nasty towards each other and far worse towards other species. Victor ad I bonded in similar ways as the bald eagle Mr.Cooper. It took me years to trust humans again till I gotten betrayed by family members and an ex. Humans are so unpredictable and cruel. I would've loved to work there full time but they moved and I needed a biology degree to work there. 😥If I made the money, I would get a biology degree to work with such amazing beings that make you forget about your differences.
@@LadyCoyKoi Oh my goodness, what you have is much more important than a biology degree!!!! I hope you get to work in a setting like that again. Thanks for sharing your story with us!!!!! 😊🙏💚
I was thinking the same thing, he looked like he was having a blast while actively interacting with koko but when he stopped to talk to someone you could clearly see and hear his depression. Its sad but I'm glad they got this on camera
Robin williams was not depressed as was Chester Bennington, Avicii, Anthony Bourdain, etc.
@@1andtheOnly RIP all of them especially Chester. That one personally hurt me when I heard the news.
Two of the purest souls to have graced our world and we are all better for it. Both equally missed and loved.
i've been really sad lately but this made me smile... koko and robin deserve to rest in peace; they brought so much joy to the world and they'll never be forgotten
What could be more beautiful in this world than seeing love, peace and harmony
2m Dr
This is what this world should be about but you won't find it in this vibration just look around yourself just think what is going on in this world Kiko add call them humans what they do to work animals
For some the dollar

I love how Koko smiled when Robin tickled Koko. 😄😃
he was dx with Parkinsons, dementia and bipolar, he did what he had to do.
Me too

Wonderful to see the interaction. RIP Robin you are sadly missed.
Gorillas are some of the most magnificent creatures to have on this planet, their intelligence and behavior is astounding. Robin Williams and Koko will truly never be forgotten 🙏🏼
This world could be such a peaceful place...
-.--.- we live in a fallen world that will never happen sadly until the second coming of Jesus
It wasn’t exactly peaceful before humans arrived but at least it wasn’t evil.
Without our egos perhaps it could be.
@@maul5578 You mean the same Jesus who wants to essentially destroy everything we've spent centuries building just so he can go on destructive ego trip and send us back to Prehistory times?
Gage Taylor I have no idea what you talking about because that is not in the Bible
He was so gentle and kind with her. Still can't believe he's gone
Scott Williams dude..stfu. god.
Scott Williams Liking your own comment? Very sad.
I agree. He will be missed. Such an amazing talent and giving human being.
Such a sweet relationship!
Two beautiful souls, I'm sure they both are in heaven, sitting under the world tree and eating fruits while tickling each other !
When she put the glasses on it's like she's trying to make him laugh too, she's so damn smart and cute
@55yrs old I seen lots of animals, mostly what we have in America but I conclude that if you measure intelligiance by common sense they are not only smarter then us but a lot more loving and possible spiritual too who knows.Bless Robin an Koko both
This Earth has only gotten bleaker without them.
Not true. Their light and that of those who have also passed still shine bright, so long as they're remembered and shared. We all die twice, our physical death and the memory others have of us. Their memory still burns bright, and thanks to video their light can shine forever.
eeehhh get over yourself already
@@mrdistraught8447 No need to be a douche. =]

But the earth is better place bc they passed through. So maybe not....Half empty or half full?
That is completely Beautiful. Two huge stars sharing hugs and laughs.
Sadly gone but never forgotten ❤️❤️.
Robin Williams voice and disposition heals my soul.❤ Imagine living in such pain mentally but still kept a smile .
The world misses both Robin and Koko!
I miss Robin but no Koko never knew who he was

....
I don't miss neither of them, Robin was nothing more than full blown wierdo who never made me laugh. I knew he was messed up in the head, and in the end he proved me right.
You can easily notice how special Robin was just with the way he looked at Koko. Rest in peace, genius.
That is what I felt seeing his look.
Adored Robin Williams and so did Koko! That. Is the happiest I have ever seen Robin .
I was laughing at their connection, and suddenly, i found myself in tears. Mr Williams gave us all so many wonderful journeys, and to know he suffered so much at the end. Blessings to all.
