I picked up block climbing since august last year with my partner and I finally rediscovered a sport that is a game for me as well.
I love to learn new things but learning and having fun, and feeling like you push new limits, is what for me make physical activity the best.
I also use a bike as transportation, because I feel good to sprint a bit on a bike, it wakes me up in the morning.
But this year I also discovered that sometimes going by foot and slowing down helps me think about thing I will just chase away when on my bike.
My getting in shape goal could be have fun and feel like my body is not in the way of my actions. Thank you for this video as always and love those parks you wander in the video!
      Have a wonderful day
Sending love to both of you ^^

I love the quote on 1:15 which in German is "Der Feind eines guten Plans ist der Traum von einem perfekten Plan". I find myself in it so much, especially regarding my past. Most of the time I thought: If I am not able to do it perfectly, I won't do it at all". I am on the way of freeing myself of this belief and am doing better and better:) but when it comes to fitness plans, definitely I am looking for the perfect thing. I haven't started yet, so your approach comes at the right moment. So THANK YOU!

My routine and goals hve changed from what it used to be, say 25yrs ago. Most of it is due to age & interest. Learning self defense motivates me to stay active nowadays.

Great advice! I've also been mixing it up lately. I lift weights, walk, sometimes run, play basketball with friends and bike. Whichever mood strikes me is what I do.

You seem in pretty good shape actually. Strong on the pull up rings (is that what you call them?) and agile with the soccer drills.
Your thoughts about restarting and taking it slow definitely strikes a chord with me.
After an ankle surgery late last year, I’m forced to take it slow.
Fitness goals? Just want to be able to move again with no pain. So easy to take our movement for granted.

Unfortunately, looking good for the camera for a couple of seconds doesn't tell the whole story 😅 Can totally relate with your situation; my first major ankle injury made me realize how much I've taken for granted too. Hope you can become pain-free soon in 2023. Good luck! 💪

Just walk at least 8000-10000 steps a day and do once or twice a week a full-body strength workout (bodyweight, dumbells).

OMG, Zone 2 training (although it does take a long time) is the key to longevity and health. 1 hr a day and you'll improve that metabolism big time. I think you're doing it things perfectly right. SO that we can age well. See you in 100 years. ;)

The parks you're walking through are absolutely gorgeous! Can I ask what part of the world you're in? (Without sounding creepy). I noticed the UK style electrical outlets, but that doesn't look like any part of the UK I've ever seen.

One thing that helps me stay consistent is to have a daily strength training routine under 30 minutes, and don’t fret about regressing the intensity if your energy level is low on any particular day. Once you have a core strength program, you can just fit cardio in any time in any form, from walking to jogging, hiking, rucking, swimming, hill/stairs sprinting, or playing sports.
