Do you do anything “quirky” for health and well-being? Let us know in the comments.
Any questions? Feel free to ask!
P.S. We’ve included some resources in the description box.
New video 😊! I do use the tennis ball to “massage” my feet while sitting at the desk. Works wonders.
can you do a quick video on your kombucha making? it is pretty interesting though....
Maybe! Thanks for the suggestion :)
I also doing furniture free on my bedroom. I sit on the floor when work on my laptop. But for painting, I use normal table and sit on the chair. I make sure there is enough sun for natural lighting. I do meditation, and take a walk in the outside 30 minutes a day in the morning, play with cat, and drink tea. It really help me.
Sounds good! Thanks for sharing 🙌💖
I love dead hanging on rings vs a bar. it allows for more mobility to get the hand placement in the right spot
True!
Audibly laughed at the different qualities of couple massages 😂
Would love a video on your kombucha recipes! I’d welcome a sugary drink alternative✨
🤣🤣
Maybe we'll share some recipes in the future!
One of the quirky things I do is put ankle and wrist weights on when I'm at home. Wear them doing chores or moving around the apartment. Another: sometimes I will do leg exercises while I'm laying on the couch reading or laying on the couch with my cat on my chest 😂
Thanks for sharing! Loved some of these ideas!
Glad you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching! ♥
Love this! Hanging :)
My brother in law does push ups everytime he feels stiff, now he's super fit haha
Hi ❤! Happy to share my rare habits!😊
I found that 30 minutes of mindfulness in the morning before starting to work make me feel more conscious and in the present.
Started to eat low carb and paying attention to the quality of the food, prioritizing raw ingredients like vegetables, meat, eggs, etc instead of ultra-processed “food” (not food for me anymore).
No alcohol too, I don’t like it.
Also I never skip the stretching routine after training in the gym, no matter what.
Whenever someone makes a comment about my lifestyle, I don’t care because all of these things that they consider weird make me feel really good on a daily basis and I love it.
Sounds like you have your routine dialed in! Thanks for sharing ♥
I practice mindful movement (Feldenkrais, taiji, aikido, functional movement training, etc) for my well-being:)
💪💪
@@ThoughtworthyCo How have you guys been?
We’ve been good, actually looking forward to welcoming our niece to the world in the next couple of days! 😆 Hope all’s well with you!
@@ThoughtworthyCo Great! We are all well here in Pacific Northwest, enjoying beautiful summer:)
playing with my pet helps me stay present!
That's a lovely way to be present!
I grew up in a family where we learned how to massage each other! At family reunions we'll sometimes make back massage lines, haha. They're great. But absolutely seen as weird all the places I've lived in the US 😅
That's lovely! We should introduce that to our family 🤣
Love how calming this whole video is. ❤
Thanks for watching!
I am used to it now, but I"m sure other people think that my wearing barefoot shoes (zero-drop, flexible, wide toe box) is quirky. I also try to sit on the floor as often as possible. It helps my hips and back remain flexible.
Oh yes! If we weren't walking around barefoot all day we'd love to try out barefoot shoes too 👍
You guys ROCK! Awesome, thanks for sharing
Thanks for the kind words, YOU rock! 🙌
A very nice video as usual, thank for the inspirations guys you're awesome !
Thanks for the kind words!
I am a big fan of lower body strength. I am always squatting if I can and I try to be barefoot as much as possible. When I am not home I wear barefoot shoes. I have also adopted sitting on the floor for watching tv.
Guys I love your video, thank you
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching! 💖
Wow my fave couple posted again 😊
😁🙌
Well done
Thanks!
I can relate to the massage fair trade haha
haha totally unfair!
So you guys DO stand up. I wish there were some reliable studies published on floor sitting. I've yet to hear any reliable source suggest we should be sitting on the floor. Most say to do a hybrid of sitting/standing (stand-up desk). That said, I did try the floor desk setup.
Yes we definitely stand up too 😆 Guess at the end of the day, they all work as long as we don't stay in one position for too long!
Funny thing, whenever I sit down on my chair to work, after 5 min I notice myself somehow crouching in my chair as if I would sit on the floor.
😆
I do that too! Except in chairs that really support my back. Then I suddenly don’t have the desire to do it. But nevertheless I like to sit on the floor a lot
I try to incorporate squatting throughout the day. I tie it to triggers, e.g. every time I need to pick something up, or after visiting the WC.
Good way to form good habits!
Hi, love the sense of humour that peeps out more and then😊 Could you let me know what is the camping chair model you are using around the 5 min mark? Love the aesthetics of it. Thanks so much!
Thanks :) It's from a brand called Naturehike, but seems like this one may have been discontinued.
@@ThoughtworthyCo oh no, but thanks for the response!
Thank you so much for putting out this content. I am really obsessed by your floor desk setup. Being an asian i also want to do a floor setup. may i know where did you bought your floor desk from? You mention the website name it would be helpful. Thank you! 😊❤️
It’s an IKEA Lisabo table with the legs shortened. Check out this video for more info: ua-cam.com/video/6iNrgkZ-TeI/v-deo.html 🙌
Lemon juice with a wather every morning :)
I used to practice my jaw with mastic gum, it's great replacement for gums. You should defintely do the video abaut Kombucha, tell the benefits, etc. Most of us dont know much about it :)
Maybe a video on how to make kombucha next? Please?
We'll keep that in mind! 😊
i'm working on the floor for about 3 month now, bought a really nice table at my perfect height, but i still have an issue that i thought would have disappeared after a while and would love your opinion about it
i'm young and healthy 21 years old guy, exercising and stretching a lot, but i'm having back pain in the upper region after working on the floor for too long (3 to 4 hours) with of course breaks every time and naturally moving positions from one another.
I feel like it was only because i was new to it, that i will naturally strengthen my back but after 3 month, it still here and i might know why :
I work on a computer and draw, it tend to lean me forward to much so i have to remind myself actively to stay straight. Big thing is, my back muscles still in tension for too long to keep me straight then start notifying me about it.
I was thinking of my pelvis leaning forward too much because my knee were above it (instead of a chair) and helping it by adding a yoga block underneath to have my spine naturally support itself vertically but doesn't changed anything.
I think the main reason is the lack of chairback for my back to rest to. Maybe staying without chairback is a thing when you are doing something active. But when working and focusing for too long i might need one.
Any advice on why it's happening ? did you ran into this issue ?
Looks like i can't naturally stay straight when sitting on the floor and have to stay in tension wich would damage me in the long run wich is the opposite of the goal
Thanks, awesome video as always
Oh no, sorry to hear. Unfortunately we're probably not qualified to give advice on this matter, and we've never ran into this same problem. Maybe you could find something with a backrest just for when you're doing deep, focused work for the time being. Hope you'll find a comfortable solution, good luck!
Might be slightly off topic - How do you avoid calluses on the pull up ?
Actually, we don't 😅 We made a YT Short on calluses from pull-ups not too long ago, check it out!
I use training gloves. They help but do not expect miracles 😂.
Can you share your hanging hoops brand, please?!
It's a generic, no brand name one we got years ago. This one is popular on Amazon: amzn.to/45snYsZ
Would probably work! Good luck 👍
@@ThoughtworthyCo appreciate your help 🌸
I'm low alcohol myself, but interested in why you avoid it?
No particular reason, actually! They aren't to our tastes anyway, so we don't have many reasons to drink alcohol. But we won't avoid it if we find something we enjoy, especially in a social setting :)
i would add cold showers :-)
👍👍
💘 "Promo sm"
Do you mind getting a pop filter for your mics? I have sensitive hearing and the scratchiness during some parts made it unbearable. I'm so sorry I couldn't finish this one. I was very interested in the topic. 😥
Noted 👌 There are closed captions so maybe you could try watching this on mute :)
While the concept is probably not, the term breath work is fairly stupid.
What term do you prefer?
You're working on your breath and breathing better, seems to make sense.
