I've recently had to go into surgery and would be unable to comfortably play using the keyboard
However I do have a Redragon keypad and a corsair mouse (the kind with 12 buttons on the side)
Using this video and those accessories, I've made a very accessible way of playing the game while my elbows are essentially glued to my sides

Oh my GOD thank you for this! On a 24-inch monitor or a laptop, screen real estate is a nightmare. Heck, even on a my big boy 49-inch ultrawide at home I sometimes want to scream. This is really a lifesaver!

Oooh, this is a great setup! I might see if I can apply this to my cross hotbars at all, but even if I cant, it still works for console play! So I definitely will be using this!
I hope it works the way you want it to work! I always play with M&K so I dont use CrossHotbars much
@@HiImFox yeah, m&k seems more practical over all, but im glad that the cross hotbars are mostly designed well.
Yeah I would agree. XIV is probably the one big MMO where controller & cross hotbars are well-designed and actually work. I had friends who would do high-end content on controller without issues
Great guide for collapsible hotbars, I wish I had found this one first. Idk why I didn't think of using hotbars 1-3 when another guide I watched used 4-6, the classes aren't using them anyway. I used one of the extra hotbars as cooldown trackers and using 1-3 still lets me do that.

I use the arcanist bars for this setup. Need to go in and add in another set of bars to the dps since we gave 2 new dps joining the line up in a month or so
darn I wish we had more hotbar options. 11 is great but honestly with the ammount of stuff to do in game it makes life easy to have hotbars to track some stuff that I can turn off and on. Just not enough.
You can use more hotbars with the macros shown in the video. Every single class & job has many hotbars available to you to put stuff on them which you can then make visible with macro magic!
@@HiImFox that is true! I mostly meant like the idea of having hotbar open up near the button you press is rather limited when you only have few more hotbars to spare. I ended up using Cross bars. but still keeping screen with almost no hotbars. Its not as fancy as I would prefer it but under circumstances its still perfect. I do a lot of in game time sinks like relics, old contents pvp so it helps having separate menus for making my life easier.
I also use about 6 hotbars per class to track and just have options available so only few hotbars left but still it looks amazing and I am pullling around 28 different hot bars from other classes :D.
this isnt working for me now, it doesnt copy over to my hotbar 7

i watched the video 3 times but when i use a macro to hide the any hotbar it disappears and all emotes/skills are deleted from it. what am i doing wrong
