There is literally an option in character settings to hide scenario guide on MSQ completion, then when new MSQ patch quests come out, it will auto enable itself. No need to actually adjust that in HUD settings
One really important thing that I think goes by the wayside in setting up ui that no one ever talks about is camera tilt. Having the camera tilt set to 0 vs 100 or even just 50 can drastically change how your ui can look with where your character is centered. If you've never messed with it before, you can try different settings for it as simply as typing "/tiltcamera x" where x is a number between 0 and 100.
or you can just bind the action of tilting by default its on arrow keys so your not stuck in the same camera angle 24/7. this is probably also why you would think people dont talk about it in these kinds of videos.
o/ PRO TIP: when moving things on your HUD Settings and you want to line them up just right, you can micro-adjust each thing by pressing the numbers on your NumPad (4,8,6,2) for the perfect fit! >:D
It highly depends on the specific gauge whether or not I want it simple mode. Convoluted stuff like MNK's Nadi/animal stance gauge, simple. SCH's faerie gauge, full (tells me if I lose my faerie and need to re-summon, or if unavailable due to Dissipation). Then there are weird cases like PCT where the paint gauge is original but the canvas gauge is simple mode.
I didn't know you could disable UI elements or drag with grid alignment, that's neat. While I do have to adjust quite a few things due to being a controller player, this vid still helped me though, thank you!
You can even make macros that toggle them and even to make them timed. I have ones that temporarily toggle on for 5 seconds before disappearing. I use them primarily for all my emote hot bars.
I really love how neatly stacked your UI is and i took inspiration from it in the past as well. Sadly cross hotbars naturally use more space because of the design. And i love the stupid needlessly edgy skull on DRK so i never reverted to simple mode xD But i was hating on the way i have buffs and debuffs again recently. Will prolly reorder the statuses like shown in this video.
Its my first time playing 14 on PC and its almost overwhelming all the HUD settings you can control. Still setting up my hotbars and icons to my liking
A shame that you couldn't give ideas on what you can do with extra hotbars! def could be a next video idea that you can research into! I was able to do a 3x4 "cellphone template" that has my icons for instant game menus and macros for switching my jobs and a macro that turns on/off an extended "cellphone template" for more buttons! more people should know what you can do with the extra hotbars!
Please do a video for us using the cross hotbar on consoles/TV. Most of this video is great, but a lot also goes right out the window due to the enormity, and shape, of the cross hotbar.
Dawntrail added a feature to automatically hide the MSQ guide when you've caught up in quests. (Character Config., UI Settings, HUD) Edit: it's apparently been in the game for a while 🤷🏾
Hey Azurite! Quick question about hotbars. You mentioned before you use an MMO mouse. How do you mentally reconcile the layout of the hotbars (1 row of 12 buttons) with the layout of the MMO mouse (3 rows of 4 buttons)? Have you tried changing the hotbars to be 4x3?
Honestly it's just muscle memory. When I bought an MMO mouse for the first time it was jarring and did feel weird... but I got the hang of it and just associate each button with the corresponding keybinds. Hope I answered your question correctly!
I have the unfortunate condition of having zero peripheral vision in my right eye, so most of my HUD elements are firmly on the left. My right bottom corner is literally empty.
Would be great if the combat buttons would be limited to like, 10? The new jobs seem to manage that. The chain actions under one button, heck, it could even be less, but what do I know.
I like his ui be does it like my wow ui that’s how I have mine in ff14 I seen other videos people showing their ui im like holy shit is a mess his is super clean

As a lalafel tank, I hold Control and jam that Up Arrow to the max.
@@nazuna_simpI use my arrow keys to select targets and to cycle through the party list! :D
as an endgame ui main I appreciate you sharing this with everyone!

wow i just finished stalking ur profile on ff after watching your last tips video and now there's another one!

I would recommend putting your Lvl bar on the left under the chat, moving chat up accordingly and moving everything in the middle down accordingly
I actually do that

As a new player, this really help me out.Thank you.take my sub.
@5:47 alternatively, you could disable to Duty Action window and use Duty Action I and Duty Action II from the Actions tab

Some really solid tips! Thank you!

Awesome guide, question though... why not add Sprint to the Mount and LB bar?

Very helpful, thank you @AzuriteTV!
Nostalgic music ❤️

This was in endwalker as well and i believe shadowbringers.
That's a pretty old config
Dawntrail did not add that
Nope. It's been there for ages now. Not sure why you're spreading misinfo, lol

How did you change to pictomancer? With no icons
Have you looked into HUD macros? It's not that complicated and it allows so much more than the basic features
how did ya make ur settings window blue?
You see cast bars on the enemy list, so you don't need Focus Target for that
True but extra cast bars is never a bad thing
Just coming back just out of the blue but new update. So finally splurge on keyboard and try it the real way

Does anyone know if the chat box can be disabled in different hud layouts?
