How to create BARN WOOD effect Using Chalk Paint, traditional French bed makeover.

- Follow me on my pursuit to create a traditional French woodgrain effect on this previously painted French bed I decided to take my inspiration from the original style of finish in a very Paint.ly way.  Decided to go for a barn wood effect using just for chalk paint colours Annie Sloan French linen, country grey, graphite, and a touch of old white.

Mr M better be careful giving his input. If he says the wrong thing he could end up chalk painted and decoupaged. The final touches brought this bed to another level. Unbelievably beautiful. This would be a $2000.00 to $5000.00 bed if purchased from a designer in the United States.
If only I could make that sort of money from my furniture pieces in the UK, I would be on a yacht somewhere now 🥴😂😂😂

I love how this bed frame turned out!!! The addition of the faux wood grain panels with the bendy wood trim and the enhancement of the tinted wax just makes the whole piece so stunning!!! 👍😄♥️

The dark wax added a dreamy feeling to this piece. I don’t know whether I could have resisted adding a smattering of gold - if only to the flourish. ♥️

Of course, you can be cheeky I can’t quite remember the name of this particular colour, but it is very close to Annie Sloan canvas 😊😊
Beautiful. I notice that you dont show the otherside of the footboard? Did you also paint over the original brown wood?
On the back, I only painted the outside trim and left the dartboard in the centre. Sometimes I do this with furniture pieces that obviously go up against the wall. Only if the wood is really good.
Have you mentioned how you clean your wax brushes. Do you keep one for just clean wax?
