What are your thoughts on the Sith species coming back into canon? Many characters that are of sith and dark jedi human blood have been reintroduced to canon if in name only, same for major events from Old Republic era stuff, so do you think they would completely erase the Sith species? If so, that would be one of the most dramatic changes to legends stories. And do you think this might get addressed in future shows or movies?
I think they should be brought in to canon, although updated and cleaned up a little. They need to show more species interacting with the force other than using it for a battery to do tricks. Also I like to see more thought given to the force as a structure. The force doesn't know if its dark or light, it just is. The anger and greed of the users pull more dark as does compassion and trust pull more light. Not to bring in other themes but, thinking of others before yourself and caring for the enemy as much as your friend would make you a pretty strong force user. That doesn't mean you can't fight or do hard things. You just need to be smart and big picture. Kinda, QiConGin, living force kinda thing, less Mace Windo. I've watched a ton of your video's and you do a great job. Keep it up. If you could talk and move through frames a little slower, especially when your showing a map or naming a world or character for the first time. Amazing video! You went over quite a lot of important stuff. The one thing I think you may have missed was when you talked about the Rakata Infinite Empire, you made it seem like the Sith were able to fight them off without being conquered. A Rakata warlord named Soa, who conquered a thousand worlds and became known as The Infernal One, actually conquered Korriban, before King Adas’ uprising, and then the Rakata locked Soa in the Eternity Vault on Belsavis. “They come, marching, believing themselves equal to the army of ancients that chained me. But I am not of their time. Their ancestors called me Soa, wrath and power, and knew fear. For I ruled a thousand worlds, and Korriban was my crown, Korriban my cradle and my testing ground. I have waited twenty thousand years, but I will wait no longer.” - Soa, during the Eternity Vault operation in The Old Republic
Nicely done. The Sith were not the first force wielders allied to the dark side, but they proved to be the most successful. Though extinct, their Philistines and histories remain to torment the Galaxy,
So sith were ..... alien species who breeded with humans. Practiced alchemy and sacrifices, and believed masonry strengthened their dark side ...where have I heard this story...
That’s also why I would love to see this play out. It reminds me of conspiracy theories involving annunaki, Nephilim/Fallen angels, secret cabals etc, but it’s Star Wars and not as morbid when moderated by that.

Then a long time later like maybe 80 aby the jedi get reintroduced by recruiting from many species and go exploring near exegol and find the sith...
Lmao I found you here. You silly xd
This is one of if not the best Star Wars lore video I've ever seen! The Sith species is my favourite SW species and this video was all around great! Nice touch at the end with Darth Tyranus IRL talking about the occult.
I really dug the art style in these comics it breaks away enuf just to tell a neat space opera and not fall into starwars formula trap
That Christopher Lee clip at the end .... what a boss.
Got intrigued by this lore. The cannon of star wars bringing the sith species back from legends would be cool. Everything that legend star wars created including sith true blood, the fighting among the species and the events that inspired the sith jedi war in the old republic rpg game. Love this channel, makes me happy when a new video comes out from this creator especially these type of videos about history and/or lore of a planet, species, ship in star wars.
EXPANDED UNIVERSE, not "legends"
So much good lore lost with Disney.
This was the best history lesson of the Sith I've heard so far. Although, I really wish you would do a longer documentary that goes more in depth into each Sith lord, and their contributions, to their history, and more about their history and accomplishments.
Thank you so much for making this. It is one of the best SW lore videos i have ever seen.
Having played a sith "pureblood" in SWTOR and exploring Korriban, i was always fascinated by the great temples and tombs that seemed timeless, but i had no idea their history was so fantastic and interesting. From tribal society and dark sorcerers to a galaxy spanning empire, huge starships and powerful warriors.
I finally understood why there are so many humans in the Sith empire.
The Sith species, truly one of the most fascinating species written in sci-fi.
Or why a large percentage of force sensitives are human species.
The audiobook of the Bane trilogy is amazing!
The amount of effort put into the video is incredible! Thank you!
וואלה כן, זה ממש נחמד לראות שאנשים משקיעים כל כך בסרטוני מידע כאלה.

Whaaa! Watched this again, wore out the rewind button - this was like a college course on Sith studies, crammed into 30min. Nice work.
So basically the Sith are a Species, Group, Way of Life, Idea, Ideology or quite literally anything under the sun.
Or in other words or most atrociously a *MEME*
Much like Mandalorians.
The memes...
LMAO
They're basically like the Jews. A religion, identity and a ethnic group with a way of life.

Couldn’t the Sith species also be called “Sithborn” or “Sith-Blood” for ease of distinction between the species and titles?
Sith Pureblood or Pureblood Sith...
@@dar-nakkallig except there were those who were not genetically pure, even though they are still referred to as sith purebloods
There are the sith dark lords like Palpatine, sith hybrids (sith kassai and human) and sith purebloods (one of their three subspezies).
@@prodigypenn If I recall correctly, Sith “Purebloods” were simply individuals who had enough Sith Blood that it showed, cause a lot of the Sith at that point were hybrids
Then the Sith Lords would have to be called Sithborn Lords or Sith-Blood Lords
So let me get this straight, this guy is so into SW lore that he makes videos about the Sith SPECIES and not just the Religion?? I shouldnt have had to find this man via search. He should have been like #1-3 on my recommended tab
Swtor is such a good fucking game with an unparalleled DLC in terms of value
This one is one of my favorite videos definitely digging the Sith back story
There's something really funny about one of the last of the Sith species being a stage/street magician on Coruscant, using his abilities to entertain.
Sweep the streets I used to own vibes, like the last emperor of China
I listened to the Bane audio book over a road trip from Houston to Chicago... I was enthralled the entire time
these videos tell me so much about star wars thank you!
Ancient sith architecture is truly inspiring seeing koriban on swtor was a experience pluse the dark temple on Drumond Kaas
Love this race ever since I chose them for my Sith Warrior in SWTOR all those years ago.
Light side or dark side walkthrough?
@@herpderp5727 Light Side (Mostly) I think it adds some unique character to the story, seeing a Sith who's more of a noble warrior (Pre-Heresy Horus Lupercal) than bloodthirsty lunatic (Angron at any given point in history.)
@@randomcenturion7264
Yeah, a light side Sith is (based on the storylines I watched, sad I know) more interesting than just a tryhard edgelord who's an all-powerful asshole just because they're an all-powerful asshole.
Man, I wish I could play the game but given its size I presume I'd have a lot of payments to do. Also, while I like the stories, the gameplay seems kinda dull IMO.
Did you complete the Sith Warrior storyline? If so, what was the fate of your former master Baras?
@@herpderp5727 Oh Baras got shanked long ago. I might be merciful to worthy foes, but that fat bastard dropped a mine on me, so my SW took it personally.
I did promise Vowrawn a show after all XD
Videos like this remind me that Star Wars is on a whole other level than Star Trek could ever dream of
Well that's only if you ignore the extensive lore and backstory of Trek. And cultural impact. And not being in the grip of Disney 😜
The Darth Bane audio books are simply the best I have ever heard. I have listened to them at least 15 times in the past year while at work. Jonathan Davis does such a remarkable job! Highly recommend!
Yeah and Revan too I'd say, but of course all the ones he narrates
Your content is by FAR at the top when it comes to Star Wars..! Thank u soooo much. I’m a total geek at heart 💜 and this channel gives me my fix ❤
Thanks I'll keep em coming
There is the theory that with the sith being the physical manifestation of the dark side of the force, that Yoda's species is the physical manifestation of the light side, where every member of the species is directly connected to the light side
Audible is absolutely amazing. Im not good at reading so audio books are a perfect fit!!!! I love Star Wars books.
Yeah I do all the books in audible, let alone all the other benefits I find it more immersive and narrators excellent
The real sith is time itself.
First time I've ever seen you.
Always cool to put a face with the voice.
Thanks for all you've done.
The Force will be with you, always.
And in two days; May the Fourth be with you.
Don’t worry, the fourth will be with you.
Love the videos focusing on different species. I'd love to see a video on the Abednedo species. I think they're one of the coolest species from the Sequel Trilogy
Star Wars lore is truly an iceberg.
This is probably the best video i seen that explains the origin of the Sith species
thanks that means a lot, and I hope to do a lot more
Yes thanks you metanerdz
Nice to see the full history told in one sit. Thanks for taking the time to make this video ✌🏼
Nicely done. The Sith were not the first force wielders allied to the dark side, but they proved to be the most successful. Though extinct, their Philistines and histories remain to torment the Galaxy,
Well Done 👍👍👍👍 Loved It!!
As an Egyptian, I am both impressed and insulted.
Sounds anti semetic

Real-world most interesting man, Sir Christopher Lee... I couldn't describe him better myself. He played Dracula, Wilbur Wonka, and many other roles besides Count Dooku/Darth Tyranus.

I find it funny that most Star Wars fans don’t know that with are a species first and creed second
Depends on the year. They are practically extinct during the movies so then they are a creed/Culture first and species second.
@@Blackdeathgaming-yv1kk the era is irrelevant, the species came first so will always be first
@@DeezUp4Da3zz "oh I don't think so" , if the entire species is extinct and the only thing left is the religion it's not going to be a species first. That species will just be a distant memory.

8:33 the Massassi were intelligent enough to build the temples on Yavin 4 though!!? 😉

I want to think there is a sith colony that keeps some of the culture alive but also kind of realizes their place in the universe and just has a "don't rat us out to the feds and we won't kill you" deal with their neighbors.

It is interesting that the Sith were one of the few species that successfully fought off the Rakata, utilizing the Dark Side. One wonders whether the Galactic Empire would be able to fight off the Vong better than the New Republic.

The Darth Bane Trilogy is my favorite book series.
It’s pretty cool listening to all this sith lore being able to compare a lot of it to the Aztec and Mayan civilizations in indigenous America.
