You know I always thought the “True Jedi” were Grey Jedi since they understood Force wasn’t inherently Light or Dark-or at the very least they understood that everyone had both Light and Darkness within themselves that the great Force itself was actually Neutral in nature 6:35
I agree that the true Jedi are the Gray Jedi. As far as I know grays are still not official but I've always had this feeling (or maybe it's wishful thinking) that is what the Jedi are supposed to become. After all the media seems to love them. Traditional Jedi like those of the clone war era are a laundry list of regrets and failures. On the other hand less traditional Jedi such as Luke's new order (legends not Disney), Ashoka, Kanon and Ezra, and even more classics like Revan may not always succeed but all have done amazing and galaxy changing things. Maybe star wars will never fully embrace the gray preferring to use the idea more as a "unexpected hero" cliche but I personally like to think the ultimate "good" ending for the Jedi is something a little more updated from the Jed'aii (forgive it misspelled please) and is what most of us call the gray. People like Revan that walked both paths and realized that the true power of the Jedi is a fine line down the middle, that love when tempered is strength and anger when rained in with control is devastatingly effective. Knowing when to fight and not to fight is always difficult but love is a pretty good line to draw in the sand. Hated is very powerful yet self destructive however if controlled by logic can be an extremely useful tool. Walking that fine line is difficult which is why I've always seen grays as the true Jedi masters. Being broken by the dark and healed by the light allows the gray a deeper understanding and a healthy fear and respect for the strengths and pitfalls of both which I think is essential to walking that line in the middle. I know the sequel trilogy is a touchy subject and being old school I personally didn't like Luke's treatment however I did hope Disney would use Ray (and I think The Last Jedi was hinting at this) to pull away from the more dogma aspect of the traditional Jedi and lead into a new order much like Luke's legends did. I personally think she was meant to become the first true (official) gray but Disney panicked and took the Rise of Skywalker in a U-turn, so sadly I don't think that will happen now but perhaps Ahsoka and Ezra will have some similar effect or outcome. I think Filoni has a better understanding of (George Lucas's) Star wars than anyone else at Disney so it could happen.
If there's no actual "will of the force" like the "will of God," then anything goes. If there's an "almighty force" then it has to have a will, which can't be balanced but truth, light, and life. If evil, then nothing would exist because evil is inherently selfish and hordes power
Nope. As stated by Lucas himself, "Balance is when the lightside and the galaxy is in the hands of good and honorable people". So there is no neutral with the darkside. The darkside has to be put in the corner of the room and never allowed out of the shadows.
@@TheFly212 well it semi-is in away…considering the dark side is inherently fueled by common negative emotions like anger, fear and so on…it’s just that suppose to use the dark side…since that tends to alter the natural order of things.
I agree to even become a gray you must master the force before you are even given the chance for a lightsaber witch I think is a great way to do it since in the jedi order some Padawans thought with their lightsaber then listening to and communicating with the force I believe the Grey's did it right have your Palawan master the force so when they get a lightsaber they think before they act

The Jedi were mostly self righteous, rigid, and full of themselves. The sith had no such pretentions and wore their rottenness on their sleeve like a badge of honor
@Justin Gary I love the balance aspect of the force, how balance is a catch 22, hypocrisy, something without nothing etc etc... The same as life itself
The Sith showed ALL the pretentious traits you accuse the Jedi of, but they had one great hypocrisy none of them ever would admit in their code: the Sith say they are seeking freedom from all that would limit them. But because they dive into the Dark Side, whenever their “freedom” gives them a choice, they almost automatically choose the most base (not based), venal, sadistic and selfish course possible. Being a slave to their basest impulses is what they made themselves ; and no one enslaved to anything is ever really free. 🤔
So this is my first time hearing the origins of the first to journey the study of the force. So personally I have always found knowledge and philosophy to be two sides of the same coin and in my opinion I would've pursued knowledge in both paths not really promoting either discipline. While I would encourage balance and peace and the pursuit of temperance. I would also encourage exposure to the dark learning and respecting it but not blatantly indulging in it. I think it could've prevented so many from simply falling to it's temptation. I think padawans should've experienced both to have an informed choice. All while getting instruction in martial systems as well as the philosophical tenants that usually accompany enlightenment

Will any of this lore ever make it into Disney's production cycles? There are dozens of movie cycles in the old stories that seem much more important and fascinating than the one George started with. I understand why George started with a simpler story-the tech to make great spaceships, space battles and awesome panoramas was not there in 77. I wouldn't say that this is entirely accurate; the Jedi made mistakes; they were only mortal beings after all. But on the whole their intent was good. But even as mentioned in the final piece the Jedi Covenant had been infiltrated by a Sith who corrupted it's purpose and twisted the entire covenant. Where the Jedi meant good and sometimes made mistakes; the Sith were dedicated to pure unadulterated evil.
the "jedai" were a precursor to modern jedi and sith. they were the original force users, that weren't dedicated to either light or dark. before later splitting into the jedi, and sith. they were the ones that originally made the monsters that the sith later utilized. it's not the same organization as the jedi so it's not exactly a fair statement, since the jedai have just as many connections to the sith as they do the jedi.
If the Jedi are to blame for the creation of those monsters, so are the Sith, since both orders derive from the ancient Jedi order. So the Jedi aren't wrong at all to blame the Sith for it, merely for failing to acknowledge their own share of the blame.

It’s always been my personal thought that the force is meant to be balanced, not indulged purely in either the dark or light side. For god’s sake the chosen one prophecy says they will bring balance to the force? Both Anakin and Luke restored on side of the force while destroying the other. Anakin restored the dark side while destroying the light, while Luke restored the light side and destroyed the dark. Neither fulfilled the prophecy of bringing balance. What they need to do is figure out that you can’t be one or the other, you have to find a balance between the two without succumbing to one or the other.

I can see it now: Disney finally realizes that Darth Nhilus is an essence draining self loathing narcist. So in the interests of the share holders Disney retconn Darth Nhilus' name to Gavin. This will then attract crowds of screaming tea kettles...I mean teen girls away from Twilight (with an efficacy never before witnessed in nature) directly channeling them into the warm caring bosom of D+. When they get too old for MM club, K.K. has them tossed into the kiddie masher and makes meat pies calling them Pluto Pies(feeling that Pluto being a cute dog will assuage the feeling of dread coming from the lingering aftertaste resembling innocence. Sells them for bloated prices. Hold my beer.
hold my beer.🥴
Editing needed a lot of work; you cut off parts of the dialog to jump into the next video too frequently. Volume was also a problem; I had to turn my computer volume to max; turn my speakers to max; turn UA-cam to max; just so I could struggle to understand what you were saying during some clips.
4:28 why does this look like lukes praxium on Yavin in the Jedi Acedemy games
Interesting how times have changed. I remember the days of Bruce Lee in the 70's and Schwarzenegger in the 80's. Now the icon for a warrior is a female or perhaps I should say she-male.
I don’t think you should say anything at all quite frankly 😂
I like the old motto better😊
Terentatek: Balrog of Star Wars

Jeddai > Jedi. Jedi is somehow a corruption of the lightside
Well, they did get political eventually.

A comment to appease the algorithmic gods
Nice
.......So wtf was flying those pyramids?
You should go back and redo the audio of the videos. I can barely here anything after the 1:30 mark
I absolutely love your Contant but my man you need to work on mixing your sound better. Some of your videos I can only hear through headphones, I can’t turn them up loud enough.
