I'm sorry I just found this. My wife and I have been married for 62 years. We were sealed in the Temple for time and all eternity. I love her more and more each day. she is my light. I was in the US Navy for 21 years with 3 tours to Vietnam. She was always there to support me.
Much love to you and your wife! God bless!
Your Tongan from Provo Utah 💯
I hope to find my man for time and life ^^ Once i find him you can bet I am aiming for the temple too
It’s so sad that he can’t sing anymore. He’s such a wonderful artist.
True but I'm very thankful that he made the great music that he did. It gives me something to sing along with in my vocal range.
He sings a little bit every now and then. Obviously can’t do what he used to…but he’s sung a few songs here in there
He said he promises he will sing again I hope he dose he have to believe he will sing again
He's touring in 2023
@@eileenbaran7040He isn’t singing at his concerts; he is present on stage with a tribute artist
I was a country hater growing up because I thought it was “old people music”! My dad listened to it all the time 😂. This was the first country song I absolutely loved - it came out when I was 13! From then on, I started to appreciate country. At 49, country is my favorite!
Randy Travis, On the Other Hand.
After his near death and his inability to sing or even really talk anymore, this is the song that country artists sing and bring Randy into the song with them because at the very end, Randy says Amen. That in itself is a miracle.
And, his wife is still by his side and they still look at each other like they are newlyweds. :)
I love how he says, "As long as old men sit and talk about the weather, as long as old women sit and talk about old men".
Yeah, that's a bar in my book! Same for, "I've already forgotten every woman but you."
Yeah 👍 both are as natural as breathing lol
My wife and I got married in '94. We have "Forever and Ever, Amen" inscribed on the inside of our wedding bands because of this song.
That's lovely. Got married in 91 myself. Also from Texas. We had 19 yrs together until he passed very unexpectedly. Now I have our marriage beginning and end engraved on inside of his band. I'm just telling you this not for myself but so you'll really appreciate the little things. Good, bad and everything are what I still long for a decade later. Be good to each other because things truly change so quick. Wishing you both health and happiness.
Randy Travis brought old school country back into country music. His appeal is hard to pin down, but he has a special resonance that makes you feel very note.
His voice is like the silkiest country butter u would ever want. Lol. I love his voice and all his songs. He is just down home goodness.
“Deeper than the Holler” is another beautiful love song by Randy
I had the pleasure of meeting him in passing at a rodeo I competed in a couple years ago! He’s such a good man, singer, human! He can’t talk much less sing but he’s such a beautiful human being!
My wife and I were married in 1970. We are still together and going for “forever and ever,AMEN!!!”
This song means a lot to me. I am gen X, and I was raised with these very same values all of my childhood. My parents were very very strict hard working people. My Dad was an Iron worker, and my Mom ran a cleaning service, and my brothers and I went to work with her every Saturday. We cleaned bathrooms in a factory, and we did not get paid. My Mother told us that being part of a family means that everyone needs to pick up a corner of the heavy load in order to get it over the hill. This song is special, my wife and I married 25 years ago, and that was it. I will never leave, or stray. I love being married, and being a father, it brings me happiness. The day I am no longer with my wife, is the day they bury me. Great job guys!
The timbre of his rich baritone voice is unparalleled. My favorite Randy Travis songs are Reasons I Cheat; Promises; Take Another Swing At Me; This is Me; Look Heart, No Hands; Spirit of a Boy, Wisdom of a Man; That’s Where I Draw the Line; I Told You So; The Box; He Walked On Water; Three Wooden Crosses; Hard Rock Bottom of Your Heart; It’s Just a Matter of Time; On the Other Hand; and Forever and Ever Amen.
Randy Travis is my moms all time favorite. Pretty sure she can still sing 90% of his songs word for word today.
So can I
He's one of my favorites, also. I don't know all the words to that many of his songs, but when I hear one, I love it! 😀
Unfortunately he cannot. He suffered a massive stroke a few years ago and can no longer sing .
America Loves you back BRO
We need more Americans like you. You and Ali are truly blessed.
I have always loved Randy's voice and this song meant a lot to me growing up.
When I got married, I sang this song to my wife at our reception and my mother-in-law broke into tears when I sang "I've already forgotten every woman but you".
I think that's when she knew I was going to be good to her daughter.
That was over 24 years ago!!
Country songs have such great stories... down to earth.
When he talks, theirs a twang but not so much when he sings. Randy’s perfect. Best voice!!!
'Digging Up Bones' is my favorite Randy Travis song, its a fun one.
Recently I saw somebody on a post say that his voice was high and low at the same time. I think that’s a pretty accurate description. But he’s also a vibe!❤
Home Free has a great cover of this song ☺️ Of course this is Randy's song! And nobody could out do him on it 😜
Please check out Home Free version of this song
Paul Overstreet wrote it with Don Schlitz. Paul has written a ton of classic country tunes that you would recognize
This is just one of the Randy Travis song I sing at karaoke great song
Randy Travis is from the great state of North Carolina! Phenomenal song and great reaction with your wife! Love watching your journey into country music!
PROUD North Carolinian, we are SO proud Of Randy Travis!! He is Country Music!!! Story telling at it's BEST!! Forever and EVER AMEN!!" 🙏🙏🙏🙏🤗💯💯💯🙏
@@tammyward2932 I’m from the Tar Heel State as well
It's a Matter of Time, I Told You So, Digging Up Bones are some more of Randy's great songs
This song came out when I was about 6yo. Randy Travis is a singer I've loved for as long as I can remember.
Thank you to the generous person whom requested this beautiful love song 🕊️💜
I saw a interview years ago where he was talking about this video. The little old lady in the pink dress and white hat dancing alone. She wasnt apart of the crew and wasnt suppose to be there. But she was having so much fun that they let her stay and included her in the video.
She was at 4:10 and at least one other time
I swear my mother had this song played to her every time she got married. No grudges to the song or my mother and the love she believed she had. However, my wife and I got married with no music or frills. I truly love her and will always love her and our daughter until my dying breath. I'll profess daily, nightly, and weekly. We aren't perfect but we are happy.
I’m very glad you are. God bless you and your family. May your daughter always know your love for her.
Randy was my intro to loving country music way back in '89. I was on a road trip with a friend and she only had RT CDs to listen to. I've been a fan ever since.
The pics looked just like our wedding. Praying for y’all to enjoy 45 years and more, like we are doing. Y’all are great!
My husband’s and my first dance song at our wedding, 35 years, time flies.
This song was popular when my son was 3 and he and I used to dance around the living room to this one and it has become our theme song …I hear it and think of him and smile and remember those little memories and I believe he does the same ! ❤
Beautiful. Think of you often Randy. Thanks for your songs and your amazing voice.
I been a huge fan of Randy Travis, from back when they started playing him on the radio. I got to go to my first show to see him live. Back in 1983. And I have seen him over the years 11 times. From his country show's and 3 of his Christian shows. He has a voice no one can ever match. There another song he song the name is Angels, it was wrote to be for Mother's Day, song for all our mom's for all they do for us. But I feel in love with it and the words to it. And my dad, loved the song too. And when loss our dad, on February 19,2014. In his sleep. From heart attack, in bed beside our mom. She asked me what song , I would think dad would love . I told Randy Travis,Angels. I turned my parents into a Randy Travis, fan . There 6 of kids . My 5 older brothers and me the youngest and only girl. We loss one of our brother , to cancer with in a month he and his wife, was told. We loss Sidney on Father'sDay June 18,2017. And he also like Randy Travis. I have all of Randy Travis,CDs some I have 2-3 of them. Plus when he first started singing. I have cassette tapes. A another favorite is a , Randy's, friends of his who wrote a lot song Randy song. Remind him of his grandfather (Randy)'s it's beautiful. It's He Walks On Water. There's so many favorites of Randy's. 🌹 I real in joy watching you and your wife watch the videos people send to you. And thank you for showing your true feelings about the music and videos, you play.
The heart of this voice is amazing.
I told You So is my favorite Randy Travis song. You can't go wrong with any Randy Travis song. Great reaction!
I love Carrie underwood’s version of it too.
Please check out, Randy Travis..."He walked on Water.". Not what you think. Always will remember my husband with, Forever and Ever Amen. Heartfelt songs. Touch me everytime.
Randy,
Has always been the Artist
That everyone wants to be.Nobody will never have a
Voice like him.He is 1 in a
Million
Thank you both for sharing your lives and Love with us!!!
I love how much you clearly are just still head over heels with Ali. Best part of your duo reactions. Knew Randy would be your favorite tbh. He just reminds me of you Seb. Down to earth, connected to God and loves his wife dearly. Sad that we lost him years ago. This is one of my favorites of his, but it’s harder to choose from his than others. Enjoy the music!
I remember when this song came out. Randy did this song on the Jerry Lewis Telethon. Haven't heard it in YEARS! Thank you.
Randy Travis has always been my mom’s favorite artist. I remember being 3 or 4 years old singing this song while helping her clean up the house. Country music is the best at bringing family together and Randy holds a special place for us.
As a big fan of his, he was starting to really get huge and this song just sky rocketed him, it was crazy how popular it was for country music in 1987
If you're looking for another great similiar song that shows even more country twang definitely look at "deeper than the holler"!!
One of his best! Yes please do.
This was my favorite song as a kid. My parents said when I was a toddler it would come on and I would stand in front of the TV and dance. Still love it thirty something years later ❤
This album holds a special place in my heart. I bought it when it first came out and my son fell in love with the music and we bonded over these songs. It started his love and appreciation of country music and made him a life-long fan of Randy's. Not a bad song on it.
I loved this song so much, I had Forever and Ever, Amen inscribed on the inside on my wedding ring when I got married in 1992.
I'm really loving your channel.Im glad they keep paying you to do these songs, coz its a beautiful thing watching you and your lovely wife react to this, and each other.
Love love love this. It's my mom & dad. Miss dad's & so does she. My heart sang this to me ❤❤
Play Ann Murray's song Could I have this Dance for the rest of my life for Ali (aka The Wedding Song). Mom & dad used to find each other every time this song on & dance... usually in the kitchen
Huge Tool fan, but I've always loved this song. Good music is good music, regardless of genre. Thanks for all the great content Sebs!
Bro same
I'm a huge tool fan as well buddy my favorite heavy artist... but I love eric clapton, Eminem, country, and jazz everything else... it's all good if makes your feet tap!
You guys are just so sweet.
It makes me happy seeing just how much you love her
The first girl I ever fell in love with, I gave her a casette tape of this song. You like Randy Travis? You better... lol He's only a country singer legend... one of the best ever.
I heard this song the first time on the radio in 1989 (I was ten) I thought it was incredible. Have listened to Randy my whole life.
Great choice. Randy Travis is pure talent!
my favorite song of all time I was about 10 or 11 when it came out
This is one of those songs that stands out for the simple belief in love that can last, especially In a world, even musically, that's can be so cynical about love.
Also, on that note, while I watch them all, the videos when both of you are on screen are the best! Your interaction around the music, lyrics, and your obvious love for each other makes the reactions all that much better!
His performance of "Promises" is one of my favorites. Love the pacing of his delivery, and the clear rich deep vocals on that song.
I also love "It's Just A Matter of Time," which is a different oldies sounding type of song. And "He Walked on Water," and "I Told You So" are great songs.
Back in the day when we used to have to sit by the radio and call into the radio station and request a song then listen for hours til the play it and send your request. LOL this was the first song I sent my GF when I was in the 4th grade. lol Had to listen to the station for 2 hours before they announced my request and played it. lol oh man the good ole days.
Man I remember those days it was awesome the anticipation of hearing your name on the radio your request and who you were sending it out to. GOOD TIMES MISS THEM.
IM 50YRS.OLD IVE NEVER SEEN THIS VIDEO.KNOWN THEE SONG 4 TWENTY YRS.CRAZY
I met a wonderful Southern Belle from West Virginia who introduced me to Randy Travis, and not only did I fall in love with them both, but I rekindled a love for classic country music.
Like all country western songs go, however, she ended up going back to her husband I didn't know about and left me heartbroken.
The upside was I met with Randy Travis 3 different times at shows he was performing in, before things eventually went south for him as well.
Funny, what fame and drinking will do to a person. I'm not just pointing a finger at Randy here, I'm pointing one at myself as well. I just got out of the same boat we were both in a little earlier than he did.
Randy is a deeply religious man who does a lot of gospel music too. Heard him live years before his stroke and hes got one of the best voices I've ever heard. Him and Kenny Rogers are up there.
Remember When by Alan Jackson is a Must for the both of ya to listen to:)
Great reaction. Love when Ali’s on!! ♥️♥️
Fabulous song. Randy is a master.
Randy was a great songwriter. It's sad to see he's not what he once was.
Country is storytelling at its best. There is blues/country, country rock, country rap. Enjoy the ride.
It's refreshing to see other's learning of and enjoying Country music.
Listening to this song makes me love and respect my wife even more.
You're going to love "I Told You So". Another great Randy Travis song.
My favorite Randy Travis songs.
I wish We could hear Him sing again!😢
So I stumbled upon your page and for the last hr have been binging you country music reaction! So much fun to watch a “country music hater” become a fan!
New subscriber 🙌🏻❤️
I remember as a teenager when this song came out.. Randy had the old country voice that my Pop-Pop raised me on.. love it .. Great era of country..King George , Garth, Alan. Brooks N Dunn, just a great era ..... and not even going into the Women at that time... wowl
Great reaction to a song - sung by a legendary (voice) singer! The two of you seem like such a lovely couple. I am enjoying your channel and I hope God's blessings will continue to shine in your relationship and in the lives of those you love. 🙏
I’m sure others have recommended Jason Isbell’s ‘If we were vampires’ but if not that’s a beautiful song.
LMAO. My sister put me in one of those burgundy tuxes, complete for ruffles when I was in her wedding party in the mid-80s. Pictures still give me shivers-lol
I feel blessed that I found you when you reacted to “In Color”….beautiful journey.
Back to the Greats... Randy Travis.
Another Great would be "Digging up Bones"..
New Subb 👍
You are an awesome couple, love you both. You are clearly devoted to one another.
It was between this and I Cross My Heart by George Strait as my sister’s wedding song. George won but this song is great too. More upbeat. So sweet! George Strait is awesome too, please check him out!
I love some Randy Travis good old sweet country song AMEN 🙏🏽🎶❤️
I like when do the reactions with your wife.
1: Randy’s top 3 all time for me and he’s had such a big place in my heart one of his lyrics from 3 wooden crosses is in the yearbook as my senior quote
2: your “we made that promise to God” and saying that’s a big deal was an instant sub, every time I see people talk about faith I follow!
3: as a southerner from Alabama, that “twang “ is normal so I don’t hear it until it’s pointed out😂 we all sound like that here!
All 90's country music is good... They all have great stories that you can relate to
Love this song my dad sings this to my mom. Jan. 27 they will be married 62 years!
Country is all about the lyrics, when fellow bebop musicians would ask the great jazz saxophonist Charlie Parker why he listened to country music he would say “it’s the stories man, the stories”😂
One of my favorite songs of all time!!!
Hope you see this , since its been 6 mths since you posted.
Loved Randy forever! My late husband & I had our friend sing this song in the Catholic church when we renewed our vows after 12 years . He sung the song as we made our way from alter to the baptismal font. The priest then acknowledged my Baptist Baptism, then dipped our wedding rings in the holy water, to seal our union with God. Most people thought my husband chose the song. But I was the Countey girl, he was Rock & Roll ! Later, in my wedding video, I seen the few lady choir members surprised look, & then they started singing ! Lol
My husband passed away 8/05. He directed me to this video today! Thank you for doing this video, so my husband could remind me he's always w/ me in love. 😢❤😊
Okay, love you both, you are definitely each other's lobster! I'm subscribed! Also nice to hear a younger couple speak of Godly commitment, God bless you both.
You can just look at her eyes and see the love she has for you when she's watching you talk about your wedding. Such a great look. Never take that for granted. You guys look like a great couple.
Just came across you two, love your reactions and love your commentary on this song.
Your face is priceless when Randy starts singing. You get it. I’ve always been more R&B and don’t care for much country either, but I LOVE Randy Travis. His voice embodies soul, rhythm and blues. It vibrates your heart and melts your soul. I think this song could make practically anyone fall in love and give country a chance.
So glad to see you have an open mind and that country music is growing on you. I also think that we grow in our likes and dislikes as we age. What we once thought we did like, now we find that we actually do.
My favorite country artist. Randy Travis is a gem.
Love to see this couple appreciate Randy Travis, Love you both
Having grown up on country I fell out of love with it over the last 25 years or so, though I still love the country music I grew up on and we can take the jokes, lol. What do you get when you play Country music backwards? You get back your wife, your truck, your dog... or, What is the least asked question of all time? Is that the banjo picker's porsche?
You two are awe inspiring!!! At a time that things are in such chaos, to see the obvious love that you have for each other is heartwarming! God Bless, even more than He already has!!!
Love how you two really truly love each other.
Check out "Diggin' Up Bones", "Promises" and "He Walked on Water". Randy had a stroke in 2013. He's working his way back.
