A great family oriented song that you'd probably like is: "You're Gonna Miss This" by Trace Adkins. It's a tear jerker, especially for all those with children. But it's a beautiful reminder for us to not take our family for granted.
Randy was my favorite male vocalist prior to his stroke. I still love his voice!!! He was also fun in live concerts!!!!!!😊 And you're right, we are undeserving of mercy and love. That's where grace come in. The NICU is a scary place, and to have a crash section... so much to deal with all at once. Blessings.
Randy Travis is my favorite Country singer of all time. He was the first Country artist who crossed over the Pop chart and dominating. A true legend with so many awesome songs. Sadly, he lost his vocal perminately due to stroke. :(
I just happened to stumble across your channel tonight. I've always loved this song and love to watch the reactions because very few understand the meaning of this song. When you said that you are a Christian family I immediately thought about Carrie Underwood/Vince Gill singing a live version of How Great Though Art. It literally sends chills throughout your body...you won't be disappointed. You are the only reaction channel that I have subscribed to because of your honesty, and not being afraid to share a bit about your own lives. Thank you for a great reaction!
I cant even make it through the first stanza knowing how it goes without a tear. Ive broken bones several time at work (manual/skilled labor) but never had to take time off. Hand, foot, ext. Not enough pain for a tear. This song... I get to the word bus and it hits hard.
The part of the song that always gets me is in the first verse when they tell us why everyone was on the bus. 1 was on vacation, 1 was seeking hire education and 2 were searching for lost souls. By the end of the song we learn that the preacher found a lost soul and in his last moments did what he could to help her. The hooker was lost and through the preacher found her self and the will to go onto a better life.
Well said, John. And, I agree.......to a point. The hooker didn't find herself, she found salvation through Jesus, and HE gave her the will to go onto a better life, for herself and for her baby, to whom she read the Bible every night. That's just how I interpreted it.
I think most people get that, though a lot of the reaction folk seem to miss a lot even on songs with a lot less going on lyrically. The real question is what happened to the fifth person on that bus? We don't know what happened to the driver.
@@johngaltline9933 I've always wondered that as well. If the hooker is the only one that lived then the line should still be there are 4 wooden crosses on the right side of the hi way, why there are not 5 heaven only knows. But 4 wooden crosses does not sound right and the parallel to the 3 crosses on the hill when jesus was crucified can not be made.
@@johngaltline9933 I've always thought that myself, until I realized, it IS possible one of the four knew how to drive the bus. Not likely, so four/"why there's not five of them" still makes more sense to me, but that's the explanation I've come to accept.
Blue Grass and Country Music go together hand in hand! Such deep life lessons are expressed in the words of the story! Listen to the words and take them to heart! 🤠🤟😇
It just struck me, after hearing and singing this song for years, the preacher, with probably his last breath and last thoughts, was still trying to wn a soul. Also a story that I heard about Randy. Someone called him and told him that his debut album had just crossed over onto the pop charts. His reply was "Well get it off of there!!' LoL

Thx for understanding this song. My great granddaughter, Milli, was in NICU for months and is blessedly home now and I’m so thankful your baby girl is too. 💖🤓🎀
Loved your personal 'baby Millie' story. My daughter-in-law is a NICU nurse in Provo and she sees the 'littles' that go home and those that don't. It's a tough floor to work on but she sure loves her babies. Yes, we have to remember to be hopeful, grateful, and expect miracles. Back to Randy Travis. He's so amazing. His voice tells those stories in such a beautiful way. I think my absolute favorite song of his is "Pretty Paper". It's a Christmas song that should be played all year. ♥

I was fortunate enough to see Randy Travis live at a country festival before his stroke. I at one point was standing right next to the stage maybe 20 feet from him and I had chills cause I knew I was standing to a legend, it was a bucket list thing to see him live. It was absolutely magical.
Such a beautiful song. I'll never understand how anyone could say they don't like country music. It is such a huge genre that has something for everyone. I think that some just pass early judgement without giving much of it a listen. As someone who started writing poetry and songs at the age of 5, country music always appealed to me because of the incredible lyrics. To me, the music is secondary to the story of the song. The story in this one has stuck with me through the years.

A great family oriented song that you'd probably like is: "You're Gonna Miss This" by Trace Adkins. It's a tear jerker, especially for all those with children. But it's a beautiful reminder for us to not take our family for granted.
Another great one is Paint Me A Birmingham-Tracy Lawrence
Randy Travis brought back old style Country Music in the 80s. He had many hits.
Listen to Randy Travis's, Forever and Ever, Amen.
Randy was my favorite male vocalist prior to his stroke. I still love his voice!!! He was also fun in live concerts!!!!!!😊
And you're right, we are undeserving of mercy and love. That's where grace come in.
The NICU is a scary place, and to have a crash section... so much to deal with all at once. Blessings.
I've loved this man since I was about 16.. I'm 54 now. He's had a stroke a while back and so did I a few years later. I still love him so much!!
Beautiful reaction, from two beautiful people. Thank you both! 😀
I saw Randy in concert..he was amazing ❤. This song still gives me chills.
By the time u hit the first pause, I was in tears. Gets me every damn time
Indeed...
I just love your reactions! Thanks for this even tho I'm a sobbing mess right now~
It's so interesting to watch you experience a song and artist like this that I have listened to for years. Thank you for being open to it.
Country music legend is an understatement! The man is an epic artist
This song gives me goosebumps every single time I hear it. Randy Travis is just amazing
Randy Travis is my favorite Country singer of all time. He was the first Country artist who crossed over the Pop chart and dominating. A true legend with so many awesome songs. Sadly, he lost his vocal perminately due to stroke. :(
I love, love, love Randy Travis and this song always gives me goose bumps and makes me cry!
The teacher was seeking higher education, not hire education. Just FYI in case it wasn't a "Google knows better that I do what I'm typing" moment. 😊
😂😂 wouldn't surprise me lol!! That's funny though!
Forever and ever amen. Randy Travis
Country songs have stories. I love it. I didn’t grow up with it.
I can’t stop crying whenever I hear this song
One of the greatest voices of all time! Ya'll are gonna love this..... I grew up to Randy and I listen to this song often still to this day and I am 44 so not too old lol.
His voice is beautiful and there is no getting away from that. Be it country, rock or pop
True country artists are all great story tellers. Todays pop/country doesn’t have the same heart and soul. People like Randy Travis, Alan Jackson, Travis Tritt , and many more are gifted story tellers
Randy Travis is my favorite country voice ever. He just sounds perfect.
Grew up hating country music. Peer pressure drove me to Rock only. I'm 67 and I love, yes I love em both genres. Growing up has its benefits for sure. It's better to love all seasons than fall hopelessly in love with spring. Thanks guys for your willingness to open your hearts.
Love Randy Travis! His own story was full of grace, mercy and second chances. Thanks for this one.
Randy Travis is a real voice and an incredible singer!!! Enjoy the blessings of his voice.
I've heard this song since it came out and it still gives me chills.
One of my favorite songs. I still get chills every time I hear it.
Ive heard this song for a very long time, Never once have I teared up. Now Im crying, because I understand the meaning behind the song.
Thx for understanding this song. My great granddaughter, Milli, was in NICU for months and is blessedly home now and I’m so thankful your baby girl is too. 💖🤓🎀
That’s what makes country music great. The emotional attachment that comes with the brilliant storytelling that is shown.
I loved this man and his singing and the messages of his songs, i am teary eyed every time i hear his songs
Country songs never cease to amaze me.U were given a life then use it wisely.
I can't get through this song without tearing up. Always loved it regardless! Grew up on this sort of music.
Ali , thank you for sharing.I have many children and now many grandchildren. The reaction made me bawl. You lifted my heart ❤️
What I love about country music, it always tells the tale.
Sebs I’m just so proud of you for opening your mind to all genres of music and I do wish this was your full time job cuz I could watch you all day …I’m having so much fun with you …71 yr old here enjoying every reaction you have …it’s just lovely dude …love you ❤
His Voice is AMAZING. Listen to For Ever & Ever Amen! He was on sang with Andy Griffith.
I've always loved the subtle ways that this type of song guides your thought process instead of just telling you specific details.
I’m so glad you finally heard this song! Yay! Glad you both enjoyed his voice, it’s one of the most one of a kind ones there is from this era. I’m not always a fan depending on the voice either but I love his. God bless you and your family!
