Adelong Falls, NSW, I used to prospect the falls 30 years ago as it always gave up great gold. If you pan downstream of the battery site you will find lots of gold covered in mercury.

That's where to look: in the potholes and crevices where once the gold is trapped, it can't wash out until it's liberated by some lucky prospector.
Nice work mate, that's a crack'en couple of days panning. UA-cam is just another tool for prospectors to use to find locations to prospect, I have found the same where people have gone there after seeing it on a video, that's fine, I just wish they respect the bush and not trash it, it make's us look bad in other peoples eye's if they think you did the damage. Keep up the good work mate.

Nice one mate shame some shovel dogger came in and cleaned it out who knows how much more your totals would of been. I have seen on a few other prospecting sites of people following them then going into those peoples areas or on someones lease the lazy dishonest mongrels. Well Happy New Year and hope you find some good spots without prying eyes in the new year.

Hypothetically if you had a way to break down the clays quickly would it improve your take much ? I know clay can hold alot of gold but the time it takes to break it up is always a pain.

I have a question.. how can you tell the difference between real gold and fools gold that isn't real gold?
Real gold is soft like lead. Fools gold is hard and brittle.
Use the tip of a knife and push into the piece in question and see what happens

Well, I’m guessing you were in a public paning area so you have to put up with people like that who go in and take your spot over.

I've never done any fossicking am starting this year with my son .we'll head up to Sofala and owallan Ford as I've seen on UA-cam.
And that's the first thing I would have done look for where someone had dug a hole and dug there as well or around it , only because I'd be thinking something might have been missed never thought that someone could be coming back to it the next day .

I would put out a fake video one day of an amazing spot and the day after you release it see who goes there, so you can expose your stalker.

Try not to get to upset about others looking for gold after all its not your lease and is open to anyone. The rubbish you claim they left behind looked more like flopsom washed down the creek sometime ago. I feel your anger is because if others work the creek it makes it harder for you to make your UA-cam channel content. Please relax and share your hobby not your anger my friend. 😉👍

Nobody is allowed to pan for gold on a claim if you are the claim holder and it’s your claim it is a lease but on that note claim jumpers can be dealt with by setting up camera and report to the gold commissioner then they’ll look at the file working with the police after identifying the people inquestion will be barred for life so if you got intentions of claim jumping keep in mind you won’t get a gold panner’s permit as you’ll be banned that’s for life no buts ifs or maybes
