You guys absolutely killed it. Even squirrels for miles around turned their heads when you showed each pan and went "Boom". I'm surprised nobody called the authorities with all that booming going on. What a haul. Finally, a day where you feel like you were paid to go to the river!
What I like about your video is the fact you don't ramble on and on about how to find gold and areas to prospect for the first third of the video but get stuck in from the get go . Good luck to you both
NICE!!! You two are a perfect team... I have a Keene 3 incher as well. LOVE it. Had 4 inchers and a 2 1/2 incher before. Great size for smaller creeks and still very easy for 2 guys to carry, manage, operate...and still move a decent amount of material. VERY nice NC gold y'all are getting. Cool to see how angular and fractured that bedrock is... So different than most the polished, hard, smooth bedrock I've worked. Keep it up!! Randy C-17A :)
Just found your channel and I have to say that I am very impressed with your dredging skills and that dredge is very efficient for its size. Not sure exactly where you guys are dredging at but the gold is very consistent and you run the operation very well.
That’s less than $100 of gold for 2 guys working, plus fuel, plus driving and maintenance of the machines. That’s a hard days work boys. Love the video👍
River dredging like that can be illegal in many states because it silts up the stream. Make sure you can do this in your area. Often you have to use a high banker and the run off has to be a certain distance from the stream so the the ground filters out the silt before it gets back to the stream.
We didn’t destroy the banks, all of that area has been filled back in within a matter of a few days (one small flood filled in all the holes we made). We have special permission from the landowner to do what we want, in exchange for picking up trash while we are on the creek, so in essence we are helping preserve the beauty by getting cans and plastic bottles out of the creek.
So you love to look at the beauty of the stream banks? Man you really need to get a life and move out of your parents basement. These guys are clearly making you jealous of what you obviously are to lazy and out of shape to try, how sad your life must be! Keep up the good work X4PROSPECTING 🤙🫡
@@X4PROSPECTINGcan you use the dredge on public or state property in NC? Or just on private property with permission of course? I just moved to eastern NC
Great set up. I appreciate the lack of talking and more working. I would suggest that you replace the intake hose from that corrugated hose that can trap the gold and replace it with a smooth hose.
Being a Business Analyst I'm as always looking at efficiency and saving hence my thought for your consideration ... Would creating a Y junction on your suction pump not give you twice the amount of materials to filter through at the same running cost. Suck in two different areas simultaneously? Just a thought gentleman 👍
Actually it makes it worse because sure the small stones get lodged in the nozzle and it’s a nightmare getting them out. We had one in there but took it off
@@X4PROSPECTING suppose that's a great way to look at it but my brother is the pirate dredger and he pulls out a lode more. You need to watch his videos and tell him I sent you. You will learn loads. I'm just a prospector and found a 7.5g nugget which is the top of my picture 💚💛❤️
It all depends on the ground you are working and where you geographically. Yeah we would pull nuggets too if we had it in the ground, just haven’t found it yet. I’ll check it out though, also keep in mind this was our second time dredging and I have 5 videos I have yet to post so stay tuned because we get much much better at it!
I CANT help but wonder if you were loosing gold out the front with the flow.maybe put a bucket to catch the stuff coming off the sluice. The water seemed too much. And 1.06g for the volume of stuff moved seemed small, well for Aussie standards anyway. Good luck though.
We don’t have tons of gold here, it’s hit and miss and this area is mined quite heavily. Gold amounts are all relative to the areas they are found, sure there’s more gold in the Yukon and Alaska, but we are happy with what we found. We always test our tailings btw, the last thing we want is playing catch and release with our gold 🤣
Парни! У вас отличная машина и вы большие молодцы! Однако я обратил внимание, что поток на шлюзе очень велик и по этому часть металла может уносить и выбрасывать. Проверяйте хвосты!
Does that thing ever suck up fish?? Also i know you'll have a permit to do this but what are the rules when it comes to digging a cut into the Riverside?? I've seen some American gold miners aint allowed to disturb anything that wiĺl discharge sand or mud into the rivers even though its in North America where the rivers chocolate brown from all the melting ice ripping up the bañks
No worries man, it’s already been addressed. This video is from a little while back, we are severely back logged in videos and trying to put them out on an orderly time frame, needless to say we have a custom sluice box in the next video, made specifically for catching the potential gold we were losing, added a good 14” to the box. And made a bunch of other upgrades which I’ll outline in the next video, stay tuned!
To some of us prospectors it not all about the money. Spending time with friends, being in nature and letting go of stress, the satisfying endless challenge of even locating gold.
It’s a fun hobby that is profitable instead of expensive. It’ll pay for its equipment in time and then you get to keep the money after that. Stop with the poverty thinking that time is money
Yep, that’s a gram more than I had the day before. It not about the gold for either of us, it’s the experience and getting to hang out on the creek after an exhausting week at work. Plus sharing our experiences online to inspire others to get outside and enjoy nature is more rewarding than anything.
No, not for this dredge. Motors provide Torque which generates greater suction. A battery powered motor wouldn’t provide the amount of high pressure needed to create the suction. Look up bilge pump dredge nozzles and you’ll see what I mean.
About every tank of gas we go through. Roughly ever 1.5-2 hours we do a cleanup. We don’t necessarily need to do a cleanup but I find that for video purposes and making sure we are staying on the gold it helps to show the gold we are finding in each spot.
As long as you guys are doing at least five or six hundred a day. . I'm going to assume 3 oz a day isn't out of the question. X3 and that's about what I make fixing hail damaged cars .. it's all about being professional. And knowing what you're doing

It would be helpful to add a screener to the nozzle to prevent large stones from clogging it.
