    They did unintentionally ruin the reputation of Nomura, didn't they? wow.

    You have no idea how happy it makes me that I finally found a video detailing the situation regarding FFXV's development cycle without just putting all the blame on Tetsuya Nomura. Goodness gracious, I'm not going to pretend that the guy is perfect, but it is super obnoxious when I see comments that sum up the development cycle as, "Clearly Versus XIII was just concepts when Nomura was director and it wasn't until our savior Hajime Tabata came in that actual gameplay was even being made so Nomura is the worst guy ever!"

    Then there was that little news gem that surfaced shortly after the announcement of the FF7 Remake that Nomura himself didn't even know he was directing it until he watched the trailer. I think if anyone is incompetent here it's clearly the execs, not the man who has designed some of the company's most iconic characters and directed some of its most successful titles in recent years.
    It's a shame that all of this has reflected badly on Nomura, a man who's creative talent has left an indelible mark on the last 20 years of the games industry. Great video, as always, Jacob.

      Holy crap, I COMPLETELY forgot about that! I'm not sure how, if at all, that could have been worked into this, but one way or the other I wish I had remembered that when writing the script.

      SeafoamSmiles It was no brainer in bringing Nomura to direct VII:R. Kitase can't direct anymore, he's more of a producer these days. And the only employee that had worked on the originals, had experience directing and working with Kitase is Nomura. And why oh why they decided to have Cyberconnect make the remake, are they not confident enough in themselves to be able to deliver? Certainly odd times here at SEnix. I wonder if the new Business Divisions implementation are not properly thought/planned out or something. And they really should scrap/restructure their R&D department since they can't code a proper game engine.

    • @ff789n10
      @ff789n10 Рік тому +1

      No offense but I think this is blown out of proportion. That was simply a miscommunication between Nomura and Kitase. They each assumed the other was going to be director without actually coming to an understanding outloud, because they work so closely together they each just assumed the other was going to be director. Like an unspoken agreement that got flipped backwards somehow. They've gone on record as saying this. Nomura knew he was director well before even pre production, so it wasnt a big deal.

    Not sure if you read this Jacob. But to give my two cents.
    Judging from the amount of projects Nomura was assigned too, the likeliest answer is that Square sees him as their prodigy wonder child who turns everything he touches into gold.But even Shigeru Miyamoto works usually with most of his focus dedidicated on one project at the time. It´s ludicrious what Square asked of the poor man.

      Garland Mueller Or, he got his way in SEnix and they can't fire the man because whatever he farts prints SEnix's money since KH fans will keep buying anything KH related and their HD remasters. KH 1.5 and 2.5 both on the PS3 AND on the PS4? LMFAO. Genius? Yes, genius in taking money. Keep the guy and Tabara away from main Final Fantasy, and let Hiroyuki Ito and Yoshida bring back the "Fantasy" in Final Fantasy.

      Final Fantasy as a series had always ups and downs. The first game saved Square from bankruptcy.
      The second was awful, the 3rd was good again and so on.
      Untill 7 who had the highest budget put into a game at the time the series was just ok and if it wasn´t for 10 and Kingdom hearts Square Enix would probably be bankrupt due to retarded decisions like Final Fantasy the spirits within, which must have been written by monkeys.

    Alot of these characters such as Ravus, Cor, Aranea, etc., didn't need to be in the story. It's sad that they didn't contribute to the story at all. It's like the game told me they mattered, but they didnt tell me why they mattered. They didn't make them contribute to the story, they didn't express these characters, they were just.....there.

    This disaster humbled Square Enix and all of its executives. I say, it's a good thing that this one trailer triggered a butterfly effect that forced Square Enix to fix their management and interact with their playerbase.
    Plus, I like how SE has been forced to interact with other aspects of society to stay relevant. Like Lightning being used for Louis Vouiton commercials, Arianna Grande being in Brave Exvius, Flower and the Machine being used as the composer and performer of the game's theme song etc. It makes the FF brand seem larger than it actually is.

    Actually, the name Final Fantasy Versus XIII is meant to go against the FRANCHISE, not FF13. Tetsuya Nomura is the one who named it and he is infamously known for making stupid names (see KH games for details)

      Gackt4awesome All the time we hear about companies altering names of products to make them more marketable. I wonder why Square would be like yup that's the name we are looking for. We will be able to market that. That is a perfectly reasonable name. I wonder how many KH fans stopped following the series and instantly jumped back in when they saw the 3. Whatever Nomura's leadership capabilities may be, he should never be allowed to touch the titles of a games, or else we will get, Final Fantasy VII: post crisis of dreams in the clouds: 3/2 materia firaga cast

      Nomura doesn't just give names at random or at the top of his head he names each one specifically so that they fit with the game in question's story and placement in the series. The longer ones also have deeper meanings to them if you can figure than out.

    • @spiritdetective2348

      ***** You do know that Empire Strikes Back didn't get the episode V tagged on until the prequels came out right? It didn't release as episode V, in fact old Star Wars movies used to be released like 007 movies where Star Wars wasn't even in the title. Also Birth by Sleep is most reasonable sounding of all them, outside of maybe chain of memories. But in no world is 358/2 days a reasonable sounding name. That's like is MGS 4 was called Guns of the La Li Lu Le Lo. Yea it means something to the fans of the series but it's an unreasonable sounding name that could be changed to something else and still keep its story importance and be easier for outsiders to follow, hence Guns of the Patriots. Dream Drop Distance isn't a very reasonable name either, especially since people sometimes call it 3D for short which can be confused with Kingdom Hearts 3 for anyone who isn't familiar with KH. Final Fantasy is called that cause it was intended to be the final game the company was gonna release. You can't get rid of that if you want to maintain brand value, that is a business decision that seems perfectly reasonable.

    Well.....i think that even with just the 2013 reveal, people still would have noticed something up with the game. The 2013 trailer and the game we have now are still tonally, atmospheric, and conceptually different entities of the same project. No emotional scenes with Stella/Luna, Noctis and his father, no invasion scene, no grand scale of battles, etc. But you got it right i think

    • @FrustratedJacob
      @FrustratedJacob  7 років тому +2

      You're not wrong, people would've certainly noticed discrepancies, but it would've been a single trailer worth of discrepancies. That's pretty common for games, they tend to change a decent amount following initial announcements. Not quite the same thing as ten years and an entire unproduced game's worth of discrepancies.

    Yea you bring up a point which I've been thinking about since the game's release, being why do people say Nomura was taken off XV because he's incompetent when they later put him on what's possibly Square's most important game in recent memory.
    Granted, I'm sure some of it is due to Nomura being a perfectionist, and reports stating that Square wanted the game out by 2016 no matter what. But I feel like that's more Square's fault than anything. And what we ended up getting was just an "ok" game.

    They should've handled it like Nintendo did with Metroid Prime 4, which has been anticipated by fans of the series since MP3: Corruption came out. Nintendo didn't say a word about MP4 until recently, where the announcement was basically "We have come to realize that our current work on Metroid Prime 4 does not meet the same standards as the other games in the series. Therefore, we have decided to scrap most of what is made so far and hand over the production of the game to Retro Studios (the company who made the first three games)." How did fans react? They were mostly just excited to hear that there will actually be a Metroid Prime 4, and that it is scheduled for release some time in Autumn 2020. And some were even happy to hear that Nintendo decided to scrap the sub-par content and let the original developers work on the game.
    Instead, Square handled things in the worst way imaginable, permanently damaging the reputation of a man who has worked on every Final Fantasy game since FFIV. I hope for Nomura's sake that Final Fantasy VII Remake is able to restore his reputation even partially.

    This is two games in a row where I feel like Tabata's vision wasn't fully realized. I thought Type 0 had so much potential, but I didn't know half the story in till research more after the fact. So much is left to NG+ and not incorporated into the game with cutscenes or dialogue.
    FF15 has some great characters, but you'd only know their story and significance from outside sources. Even the main characters are relegated to an anime for their backstories. And how much information is left to the guide and not mentioned in the game at all is fucking ridiculous.

      I'm not an expert, and I've never worked in the games industry, but I imagine that at least some of this stuff is out of Square's hands. For example, your specific FFVII Remake example. Since it's got the 'play it first' on Playstation thing going on, clearly Sony is pumping some money into the project. That probably means that, when E3 2015 rolled around, Sony could have said, "Hey, make a trailer for the 7 Remake for the conference."
      It's a pretty good racket. They get a conference with The Last Guardian, Shenmue 3, and the 7 Remake, and consequently 'win' E3. Then, when the 7 Remake mysteriously vanishes from the public eye and takes two decades to come out, or never comes out, pfff, not Sony's fault. But you'll still remember how awesome that conference was, and by extension how awesome Sony is, for a long time.
      Could've talked about that in this video, but it was a bit off topic. Plus. You know. It's already way too long.

Congratulations!What I heard from some other sources about Nomura was that he like to take his time crafting his product to the finest, and as a result of that, his work is beloved by the fans and appreciated within the developers and artiest within the company. I never questioned his talent, but he is just not a type of director that can deliver his best at the current generation pace. I really hope SE can stop pushing him around onto different projects. Instead, let him focus on KH3 and do his best! I never played KH and I don't care about KH series at all, but I know a lot of people do! It's important to keep this analysis in the back of our minds moving forward. We can see how much square learned by looking at kh current marketing. Was announcing kh3 before getting all the remakes and 2.8 "squared" away first a good idea? Maybe, maybe not, but only time will tell. With people's perceived perception that kh3 has been being worked on since the release of kh2 in 2005 is there anything they could really do to fix it? I'd love to hear anyone's thoughts on this. When you overlapped different speeches ending up in an incoherent mess before cutting to "Hey, has anyone here seen my monkey paw? Have you seen my monkey paw?", made me think of "Who's fucking with my medicine?" and "What's that on the ground? Did you read the script too?".
      The jab at TFA with the text at the bottom reminded me of the prequels review too.
      Overall, the use of behind the scenes footage with a commentary on what went wrong reminded me of Mike's work on the prequels; and since you watch RLM, I'm sure you realize how great a compliment this is :)
      As I said in my OP, very informative video and well-constructed analysis; I'll be sure to use all this knowledge in my future discussions with my die-hard FF fans friends.
      Say, are you planning on doing a Let's Play of XV some day? From your previous videos, I've gathered that you've got a lot of work (so do I, isn't college great?), but I'm still asking, since I probably will never play this game but still feel drawn toward it thanks to all this behind-the-scenes stuff.

      Oh yeah, the 'Onscreen Footage Unrelated to Current Discussion' was absolutely ripped off from a Plinkett video, you've got me there.
      And no, I decided against doing an XV video. Making LPs takes a lot of time, and I loved doing it, but I basically decided, "You know what? I've been waiting ten years for this game. I just want to play it and enjoy it instead of trying to run my mouth the whole time."
      Part of why I started doing playthroughs with my friend Joey is because I discovered I'm not particularly good at doing them on my own. Having someone else to bounce off of improves the quality of commentary exponentially.
      And I didn't even open my copy of XV into my PS4 until Christmas Day. I made that 'Ten Years of Hype' video the day that the game came out and I got my copy, but I had school work to do, and even after that, I basically set myself the goal of, "I'm not touching XV and ________ other things that I want to do until I finish the Marketing Campaign of Doom video." On Christmas Day my brother had finally had enough, so I agreed that we could play the first couple hours while I was editing.
      That's also another good point, I wanted to play it with my brother, and we just wanted to play it for fun, at our own pace, without having to worry about sitting at a desk with a mic in our face. I think if I'd had to record an LP of XV I'd just have been miserable, and instead I had a lot of fun with it, even when the game itself wasn't particularly good.
      I'm actually going to be changing the ways we do LPs on this channel in the near future. I'm going to make a video explaining it and some other changes at some point. Don't know when. I'm really busy. I'm actually putting off a school assignment I need to get done to finish this comment. And I just realized I really need to stop typing this and go do that. Good day and farewell to you, sir.

    you have not added type-0 into the equation. the whole reason why these games were announced early in the first place was because they were part of a project that should've never existed. FNC FF13 (we know now simply as FNC FF) these games would share the mythos and interpret it their own way. that's why they all had 13 in the title at the time. they weren't sequels but alternative takes on 13 lore. they were alternative ff13s.
    I think personally if SE was humble enough to use other game engines or save their more ambitious engines for lesser games, then we would see more consistent development.
    I don't think if we had this game announced inn2015 we would've had the same problem. we would still be wondering why Nomura was removed. we would see characters redesigned. we would still have an incomplete game full of product placement and need to buy DLC to complete the game. keyword BUY! WE have to pay for those episodes. the patches are nothing.
    they treating 15 like a MMO when it comes to patches and DLC. I don't think anyone can get behind on. and if this game was announced 5 or 6 years ago. we would still have the problem of movie tie-in and anime tie-ins.

    So it is all because Square makes more than one game series/franchise for more than one platform: FF and Kingdom Hearts (plus everything else they create), for consoles and handheld markets, and they had Nomura working on 4 KH spinoffs when he could have been working on versus XIII. And not all FF fans play or care about KH or the spinoffs or how well the handheld market was like during that time to know what Nomura was doing during those years. So it IS about Square as a Studio and how they manage game dev. in numerous franchises across numerous platforms.

    Here's what I would do if I was the sole director of the next AAA Final Fantasy game.
    I would have one or two people write me a cohesive story with some concepts here and there, perhaps Tabata and Sakaguchi if he were to come back. Nothing to do with crystal bullshit or a highly-technological advanced empire invading a medieval kingdom for it's crystal. Something entirely different as seen in FF7 and FF8. And in terms of allocation of resources, story and narrative will have the TOP priority over gameplay and even graphics.
    I would have the team develop the game on Unreal Engine 4 or maybe the Luminous Engine again if they got it fixed up and got it running good on current and maybe next-gen consoles by then, but considering that UE4 is more wildly used, is much more advanced, and easier to use than Luminous, I would probably use that instead. A 5% royalty fee isn't that bad people. Like if the game sold 10 Million copies at $60 each which equals $600,000,000, Epic would only get 5% of that which is $30,000,000 if my math is correct, which would give Square a profit of $570,000,000 minus whatever the development costs would be (The costs would be a lot smaller than FFXV and FF7 Remake, I would guarantee that.) But Square Enix is known for being greedy as hell as of late, at least they are not as bad as EA but I am afraid they may end up like that in the future if they keep up their usual business practices.
    I would have Nomura and Amano design the characters but not to a ridiculous sense like belts for pants or massive titties (FFXV's Cindy for example, the game is suppose to be a fantasy based on reality but where the f**k in reality do you find a mechanic dressed up as a pornstar especially one of southern descent?) and of course, NO SPIKEY HAIRED EMO PROTAGONISTS, I would like to see another protagonist like Tidus, he was such a good protagonist who actually cared about his friends, Noctis wasn't emo either but damn did he sure as hell look like one. And of course, no awkward dialogue or mo-cap.
    The game would NOT be open world like FFXV but rather have a condensed overworld like FF1-9 and Type-0, this way development time, cost, and debugging would be heavily reduced plus there would be more explorable areas, continents, cities, and dungeons. As much as I don't like FFXV's empty open world, I am still pissed off that even after a year of post-content for FFXV has been released we still did not get an explorable Nifilheim which supposedly was going to be in the game but was cut out before launch due to time constraints, we are supposed to be getting an expansion for the ocean area between Cape Caem and Altissia and more areas to see in Insomnia in the Royal Edition, but what I really want is an explorable Nifilheim because I have already seen too much of Lucis to even care anymore. This would also give more development room for the story and story-related side-quests, that way we wouldn't have to make Episode Sephiroth or Multiplayer Expansion SOLDIER in order to recoup on costs, it will all be included in one single package and available day one. Less is more in this case, people! If they do this with FF7 Remake not only would the game be out sooner and cost less but probably be fully out in one package instead of separate games. But hey, Nomura is pretty "stubborn" about this.
    Go Nomura!
    The game would also give players the option to choose between Turn-based and Action-based combat before starting the game so that way it would have more replay value. Now THAT would be a Final Fantasy for fans and first timers. (I actually don't like turn-based combat as much but FFX has my favorite form of Turn-based combat in the entire series.) The Action-based gameplay would play like Kingdom Hearts and FF7 Remake, heck I would get the guys currently working on the combat portions of both those games to work on this game too after they are done. I would bring back the Technique system seen in Episode Duscae too, I loved that system, it's too bad they gave us a bootleg version of it in the final game, I.e hold left stick down while attacking.
    And unlike FFXV, there will be a hell of a lot more than three magic spells, heck Ignis had a "Cure" ability in Episode Duscae that wasn't in the final game. I like playing as Noctis in FFXV, but he should've been given the ability to wield one or two weapon types only instead of like ALL of them, this way the character switch function that was recently released as an update would've been out SOONER, probably already in the game DAY ONE! and keep in mind when playing as Prompto you can't use Machinery, he can only use it when you are not controlling him, the same can be said for Ignis with a spear, at least when playing as Gladio you can use both the sword and the shield. So yea, one or two types of weapons per character in my version of a Final Fantasy game.
    The marketing. I wouldn't give two flying fucking bats what Nomura or Tabata say, I will not announce the game before or even after we start developing it. I would showcase a reveal trailer for the game when it's FUCKING DONE!! I MEAN 100% DONE!! I would showcase a teaser trailer, have a demo be available to download and play after the teaser trailer and have the release date 3-5 months out, preferably like around the summer time when school is out so people would have more of an incentive to go buy the game instead of like the winter or Christmas break where everybody is either busy with school or too much of a chicken to go out into the cold, that way we would could spend a few months debugging the game and adding any extras that would be potential DLC for free like a dmc bloody-place mode.
    And another thing I wouldn't give four flying fucking bats what Nomura or Tabata say about. If there is content in the game that they fear may be offensive to certain people like SJW's, KEEP IT IN, especially if it's crucial to the story, nobody cares what SJW's think anymore, if they don't like it that's their problem, not ours. Heck MGSV had an 18 year old girl getting raped TWICE and nobody batted an eye. GTA V still has a lot of offensive content and is still one of the best-selling games of this generation despite the fact it came out like five years ago. If it is really offensive to the majority of the fanbase, only then will I have it taken out.
    That is how I would direct my Final Fantasy game, fucking realism, fuck empty open worlds, and fuck SJW's. Good fucking day to you all.

    The higher level leadership absolutely 100% was and still is the problem. Square Enix on the creative side makes some of my favorite games and I love (almost) everything about what they do, but the executives and presidents sabotage them and get in their way at every turn. The problems with FF XIII was thanks to Yoichi Wada, former president who pushed for "polymorphic content," e.g. quickly thrown together sequels and prequels based off existing games and flipped assets to make a faster and easier buck. XIII was the most ambitious with the whole Fabula Nova Crystallis half baked concept, but that thing was so underdeveloped and ill thought out that it spread the dev teams too thin and you add FF XIV disaster on top, it was setting themselves up to fail. Going back and listening to that FNC mythos video, it's about the most generic thing you can think of. Versus XIII shouldn't have been announced in 2006, but then they shouldn't have had the idea to make 3 different FF XIII games to represent the whole of FF XIII to begin with. Again, far too ambitious. Add on top the development of their own original engine while all this is going on, it's no wonder things went sideways. The fact they turned these games around for the most part and got them to eventually release is a testament to their work ethic and determination. Now, we thought Wada was bad, the new one Matsuda is way worse with his focus on NFTs and live service and whatnot. At least their creative output has picked up and they seem to have turned things around, for the time being. But SE continually gets in its own way. Announcing a slew of new FF XV dlc and then cancelling 3/4ths of it in short order comes to mind. Constantly starting up new live service and mobile games and shutting them down within a year or two is also another great example. Sigh. Nothing can be perfect after all

    And that's why I'm worried about the future AAA Final Fantasy titles whether they'll sell FFXVI on hype alone and how long will it take them to complete it. Instead of open world mechanics it would be a better solution to return to roots of overlord maps. It would be more cost effective and less time consuming to just give us a detailed over world map filled with cities, towns, villages, dungeons, outpost and whatnot instead of huge open worlds with a barren wasteland filled with repetitive sidequests.

      CliffFitter89 What scares me is the fact that things in the most recent Final Fantasy VII trailer shows specific gameplay mechanics from Final Fantasy XV are within the game. Sure not huge ones but they are still obviously there. If you watch the parts where Cloud is squeezing and crouching through tight spaces, that was directly taken taken from XV. Which makes me nervous. I feel like they are going to change ALOT and its not going to feel like the game we all love anymore. Which defeats the purpose of the Remake in general.

    • @alidia325
      @alidia325 7 років тому +1

      CliffFitter89 FF have been heavy on marketing even from way back. If VII didn't market the way it did, FF probably be less impactful on the market. They are the pioneers of hype. About the maps, their realistic approach to the characters aesthetics will clash with the overworld. But who knows, Type-0 did it and that's the only redeemable aspect of the game. We probably won't see a proper modern representation of the old games until the current tech allows it to be. If they really want to go open world, just cram story-related places and have a only few squares of open areas for players to grind and fight instead of having a huge land of nothings.

    I'm not going to jump to any conclusions. However, if Square Enix originally told the public that fans during the Final Fantasy vii tech demo that a Final Fantasy vii was not in the works but later happily fooled us -- even with Nomura at helm, there COULD --- and I use the word COULD with a grain of salt -- be a Final Fantasy with Agni. Thus far, there has been a few videos featuring Agni, the fictional female character that looks like she has red feathers on her clothes. Maybe it's just a tech demo. However, if Square Enix has had plans to work with Microsoft beyond just showing a tech demo to Microsoft people, then it would make a little sense IF Square Enix does indeed to go that route. However, we don't actually know. What I am saying is that it is not so far fetched to possibly think that Agni will go beyond a tech demo and become a reality, just like the FF vii remake has become a reality thus far. Yet, the only thing we do know about FF xvi according to its brand manager is that it's not in development since they will be focusing on FF XV and it's future passes. We also know that it could be another action game, but that all depends on the game's final director. Even if FF xvi hasn't begun development, at this point it's not so far fetched to think Square Enix could be working on character concept. However ad you pointed out with Versus xiii, if they were to announce a game so early in development it could lead to some crazy doomsday. Yet, you never know. FF vii remake was nit going to be a reality. Why can't Agni be a reality than just more than a philosophy? Rehortical. Obviously, XVI will depend on the sales of FF xvi and it's ongoing development of patches and added cut scenes for XV'S final chapters. Hence, announcing xvi and saying xvi will happen would be ludicrous! But in the years to come, if FF XV continues to do well, we COULD see Agni someday materialize. In reality, we probably would not see a trailer for XVI until 2019 if it were going to happen. if earlier, I'd be shocked! If never happens, I wouldn't be shocked at all.

    • @aun1426
      @aun1426 7 років тому

      Derek Mckean I think Agni is sort of a big deal at SEnix. I've seen poster's of the female lead plastered on some SEnix's offices when I watched XV's interview and PR vids. But it could mean nothing as well. But having a poster for someone not important would be really odd. But it could mean that she's nothing more than Luminous studio's mascot.

    • @DerekMckean
      @DerekMckean 7 років тому

      A UN Precisely. And that's why I don't want to jump to conclusions saying FF xvi will happen. We don't know that. If it does happen, then it won't be a surprise as Squeenix has a certain pattern of saying something is not on development while it certainly was. However, as you pointed out, Agni may never materialize as we simply do not have the evidence to prove it. All we have is theory. Hence, you are absolutely right, she may be exactly a product of Luminous Studio and nothing more. But until we get stronger evidence from the Squeenix execs, it would be sending out misleading information to suggest something that cannot be proven. All we know is what the brand manager has told everyone.

    Undoubtedly Nomura is a mastermind and the projects he's involved with end up being amazing BUT the guy takes way too long in the development cycle and is also overworked too. When he was on Versus XIII from 2006-2012 barely anything got done and they replaced him with Tabata in 2013 which ended up with the original Versus XIII being scrapped. With him now working on the two biggest anticipated titles of Square Enix i honestly have no clue when they'll release. It could be another 5+ years before we see KH3 or FF7R IF Nomura does the same thing he did with Versus XIII's development. That being said Nomura needs to be more transparent with fans so we actually know the status of development on KH3 and FF7R. Maybe do Active Time Reports like Tabata did. I know Tabata's reputation is hazy; some people love him and others hate him but you have to admire the passion he has for the gamer. He released 2 demos for XV and even updated episode duscae. He also did the ATR's. He didn't have to do any of this. He did all of that because he wanted fans to know XV's development was proceeding well compared to the nightmarish development cycle of Versus XIII. Tabata could have easily pulled a Nomura and said "development is proceeding well" without having anything to show/prove it. Bottom line is Nomura needs to be more transparent like Tabata or fans will just forget about FF7R and KH3. These games can't be in limbo for another 5+ years

    truely if SE didnt hype this game so much it wouldnt have gotten this much backlash. well, what's done is done. btw, did u know that tabata only finished playing ONE ff game which was ff1, which explains why tabata clearly doesnt know why/how is an ff game an ff game. u cant create what u havent felt or experienced. its all abt the FEELS man, the FEELS. u need to FEEL the ff man, FEEL the ff. then u can MAKE the ff.
    welp, i'll just be spending my money on other jrpg's ex. tales series, persona series, legend of heroes series, atelier series. for any1 reading this, legend of heroes : trails of cold steel is legit as fuck man. took 100 hours to finish it and most of them were just main story content. some good shit man.
