Hey! :) Overall the order of application looks good - you may not need a moisturizer after the faded cream because it is already a cream. However, I'm unsure if those products will do much for your dark circles because they are inherited. I mean, you can try it - but I am not sure they will do anything for you. Also, do not use the Peeling Solution on the eye contour or Azelaic Acid.
Woops I made the mistake in using the Azelaic acid in the morning left on then used 30% AHA/BHA in the evening for 10 mins and have more redness than usual - hopefully it will go down quick tho and my guess is it’s just gone deeper causing it to peel more.
@@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet I used the Azeliaic daily and use retinoid on off and Clinique moisture surge so I have a good balance. Just have an event coming up so wanted a deeper peel so decided to try the azeliac acid before 30% and tbh the redness has gone and skin looks like it’s going to be smooth so it’s worked ! But I guess I have a tolerance to acids so all good 😊 👌🏼
Hi! I am currently pregnant and have noticed a 360 change on my skin. I started breaking out on my forehead, down to my temples and even on my chest. I just recently found out that I shouldn't be using a lot of my skincare products, no wonder my skin wasn't getting any better. And so I have basically bought a whole new products to try after some research. However after seeing this video, made me wonder if the products I got would work together. Thank you so much for sharing specially like me first time plan to using the products of The Ordinary. I want to ask, the ordinary skin care products it’s save to use even has some a moles in face? again thank you.
Some products may affect it; however, I can't think of a product from the Ordinary that does it. So my best advice would be to contact them to be sure. And you can do it here: deciem.com/en-us/contact-us.html
Hi Melissa! I love how you are replying to every comment. I am planning to buy this azelaic acid for my pimple marks. I really hope it works! Wish me luck xx
Hello. I have a doubt. I could use azelaic acid suspension 10% the night after cleansing and before the moisturizer, and the next day after cleansing in the morning I can use the "buffet" + cooper peptides 1%
Yes, you can use it after cleansing. How often you can use your BHA depends on your skin. Start with 2-3 times per week and increase the frequency over time! :)
Hey :) The best product is the MAP (Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate) Which is currently not available. I use Paula's Choice Vitamin C 15 Booster instead. Also, you can use Retinol. I also use Clinical 0,3% Retinol + 2% Bakuchiol Treatment. But it also works with The Ordinary Retinol. However, the feeling is very oily. You can also watch this video. Hi! Thanks for the great video! I was wondering if this would be okay? Cerave Salicylic Acid Cleanser ➡️ Vitamin C Serum (Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate) ➡️ Moisturiser ➡️ Facial Oil ➡️ Azelaic Acid Suspension (5x a week in the evening) Would it still be effective in brightening and evening out skin tone?
Hey :) What oil and moisturiser are you using? :) Your routine looks good! To see how effective the routine will be for your skin concerns, try it! Keep in mind that skincare products need time to work and that it won't happen overnight! :)
Can i not use the azelaic acid with other products, like CERAVE Foaming Cleanser and CERAVE Facial Moisturising Lotion SPF25? and can I leave it on or not?
Yes, you can use it with CeraVe Foaming Cleanser, and you can also use the Facial Moisturizing lotion along with it. AM: CeraVe Foaming Cleanser Azelaic Acid 10% CeraVe Facial Moisturizing Lotion SPF 25 And yes, you leave it on. There is no need to wash it off.

Hi dear please suggest me I am new to use ordinary products.which toner is good to use on niacinamide and alpha arbutin.is pixi good.please suggest me which serum to use for anti aging
I recommend using a Toner from Paula's Choice see here: www.paulaschoice.com/on/demandware.store/Sites-paulaschoice_us-Site/en_US/Search-Show?q=toner Just choose the one that suits your skin type. Serum/Cream for Anti Aging = Vitamin C or Retinol
Hello! Can you please tell me whether I can use the Rounlab birch juice moisturizer/ Beauty of joseon red bean water gel with the ordinary niacinamide serum and azelic acid suspension? I'm really confused....😭
Tretinoin? No, that is another form of Retinoid. Adapalene = Retinoid Tretinoin = Retinoid These are just different generations of retinoids with very similar effects. So it would help if you did not use them together. Stick to one :) And tretinoin is more potent!

My question is I just bought azelaic acid and alpha arbutin 2% for my hyperpigmentation can we use both day and night routine??? Or we have to use one product at a time ?? Kindly tell me what should I apply for my hyperpigmentation on my face ??? THANKS
Yes, that should be alright. Use Glycolic Acid first layer Alpha Arbutinon top, and lastly use Azelaic Acid. However, that combination may be intense when repeating it too often. Pay close attention to how your skin responds and adjust usage accordingly.
i want to use this azelaid acid with vitamin c serum that are not from The Ordinary product, is that fine? the vitamin c that i'm using is called Avoskin Ysb vitamin C
The Ordinary recommends not to use multiple acids in the same routine. However, based on my experience, Salicylic Acid and Azelaic Acid work well in combination. So it may depend on your overall skin tolerance. Layer SA 2% Anhydrous Solution before Azelaic Acid Suspension.
Hi Ms. Melissa! I just wanna ask if I can use: The Ordinary Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA after putting The Ordinary Azelaic Acid 10% Suspension? I watched your videos always everytime I'm not sure about how I can layer my skincare products. ❤
2 weeks ago i add the BHA’s paulas choice exfoliant and azealic acid the ordinary to my simple routine which was only foaming cerave/ SA cerave that I switch day and night, niacinamide and natural moisturise the ordinary !! My cheeks has now a lot of blackheads and clogged pores. So i stop azealic acid beaucoup it has silicones inside, i suspect it...
Hello. The silicon is not the case, but it can be. Usually, silicon causes issues because you haven't washed the face properly. Otherwise, it won't. But it can be the BHA from Paula's Choice as well. Solution = use them separately and wash your face correctly and see when the problem occurs. 🙂
@@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet I was using 3x a week azealic the morning and exfoliant at night, so I stop using the azelaic acid and only applying the paulas choice 1x every 2days. very explanatory thank you very much! I do not think that there is a person who has tried the ordinary and did not continue to use them !! I have not tried azelaic acid though. I will definitely try it in the future !! could you at some point make us a video with the inkey list and cosrx what are your favorites?
Haha yes. 😀 I like Azelaic Acid from Paula's Choice a bit more because it blends nicer into the skin, I want to use The Ordinary Azelaic Acid on my body. But again that's just personal preference. I haven't tried them, yet. I have The Inkey list at home, but many products are bottled in Canada, so I think some are the same as The Ordinary and made by Deciem. Kind of a private label. So they must be good. 😉 Not sure about Cosrx since it's mostly marketing, not sure if they are trustworthy. I like to mention them because many people think they cause issues when combining them with other products (Because of the acids since they label it as AHA+BHA, but they do not include a high % of active ingredients, and won't likely have any effect except on feeling good on the skin). So I do not want to recommend them to others 😞 , but I may do some maintenance routines for people who do not have any skin concerns and just want some hydration or glow 🙂 not sure yet.
you're right!! and here in Greece many youtubers advertise cosrx but it seems that they do it to promote the company and for this reason I wanted your opinion on cosrx and he agrees with you !! and from inkey list, this is probably how deciem promotes them
Hm, interesting 🤔 but it makes sense probably similar to CeraVe. Many people are asking, so therefore I do little how-to videos, but I rarely use them. What do you mean by that "and from inkey list, this is probably how deciem promotes them"
yes yes just like with cerave as with inkey list but I personally visit the Cosdna page for how safe for the skin or for acne is each ingredient and I have not tried anything from cerave because I do not consider the ingredients good. As far as inkey lists are concerned, although I have not tried them yet except beta hydroxy acid, some products have very nice and safe ingredients like the ordinary ones, all of which are excellent, but there are also some inkey list products that will not I was buying
@@ΤΖΕΝΗΚΑΣΑΠΙΔΟΥ Which website do you mean? They aren't good, but the marketing is excellent ;) So many people buy them, but I noticed in my comments that many struggles with pimples when using them. In the beginning, I thought that this would be the issue, but so far, I haven't come across any cleanser that is causing pimples to my skin. Some are a bit harsh and very drying, but none of them broke me out. But generally speaking, I do not like the feeling very much.
Heey Melissa, i hope you can help me.. so i was struggling with acnes year ago and now i get rid of them. But my problem now is acnes scar's! I make some research on internet and i found alot of information plus i watched alot of videos on ytb (+ yours ofc :) ) so I finally figured out that all i need is a skincare routine ( whish i was not have one for my entire life just doing shower on morning and that's it) So my Q is ! Can u recommend a skincare routine for me using the ordinary products (+ any cleanser) . My example was like this : Am routine i use cleanser than hyaluronic acid 2% + niacinamide 10% zinc + 1% + azelaic acid than moisturizer than i finish with sunscreen Pm : same as Am(-sunscreen ofc)
Hey :) Do you have oily skin? If so, using Niacinamide is great not only for an uneven skin tone but also for regulating the sebum and minimising the pores. If not, you may want to replace it with Alpha Arbutin. The rest of the routine is great! :)
@@houceinbenjeddou9549 Well, a cleanser that I really like is the Ordinary Squalane Cleanser or the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel cleanser :) So your routine could look like this: - Cleanse - Hyaluronic Acid - Niacinamide - (Optional) Moisturizer - Azelaic Acid - SPF (AM) Using a moisturizer is optional, this depends on your skin and if you feel the need. Try it without and with and see what feels and works the best for you :)

Can I use Ascorbic acid 8%+ Alpha arbutin 2% mixed with azelaic acid suspension 10??? Answer me please 🙏 Suggest me a daily routine for better results with this two products. Please
Hey! :) You can use both daily in the AM and/or PM either use them together or one in the AM and the other one in the PM. Try both ways to see what works best for you! :) If you want to use them together, use Ascorbic Acid + Alpha Arbutin at first and then follow with Azelaic Acid. Don't forget SPF during day time.
Hey is this order correct 1)Clinique facial cleanser 2)Clinique toner 3)The ordinary niacinamide 10% 4)The ordinary caffeine solution 5)The ordinary Azelaic acid suspension 10% 6)Clinique dramatically different moisturiser 7)sunscreen 50++ this is my morning routine please reply me is it correct order to use ?? I am using moisturiser after suspension because I am having super dry skin !!!! And at night I will skip my Azelaic acid and I actually use different brand products at night
Hey :) Use the Caffeine Solution after your Toner, then move on to Niacinamide and use your moisturiser before apply the Azelaic Acid Suspension; this feels nicer on the skin and can give you a bit more slip when applying Azelaic Acid and then follow with your sunscreen. Paula's Choice Azelaic Acid has a nicer texture, which you may prefer because the Ordinary Suspension can be a bit drying and difficult to apply. Or have a look at Facetheroy's Azelaic Acid or from Geek & Gorgeous, those are serums.
Currently my skin care routine is basically: Cerave cleanser, niacinamide, and Cerave moisturizer. But I bought azelaic acid suspension and aha bha peeling and I was wondering how to use them in my skin care routine. So : once a week : cleanser, aha peeling, niacinamide and moisturizer (no azelaic acid suspension). And the rest of the week : cleanser, niacinamide, azelaic suspension and moisturizer. Please tell me if I’m wrong 🙏
I feel like Cerave moisturizer, and Azelaic Acid is a bit too much. I would instead stick to a lighter moisturizer and apply it before Azelaic Acid Suspension. The Ordinary Azelaic Acid Suspension includes a lot of Dimethicone, and therefore it's best to use it as the last step. (That's just based on my experience ;) )
Based on the comments underneath my videos, some people think that it itches or burns when doing it. The Ordinary also does not recommend it, but personally, I haven't had any issues while doing so. So just test it.

Hey im curious if you think the AHA and BHA chemical peel is ok to use once a week ideally (sunday nights). And during that day i would use niacinamide and BP, before cleansing at night then finishing with the chemical peel, moisturizer, then azelaic acid suspension? Every other day i plan on using niacinamide + BP for AM, then just Azelaic acid suspension for the PM...and obviously cleansing and moisturizing both AM and PM.. This is all to combat acne prone skin, scarring and PIE
Hey! :) Yes, that's fine. You can use Niacinamide and Azelaic Acid daily. Benzoyl Peroxide can also be used daily if your skin can tolerate it and whenever you experience active acne. Please do not use Azelaic Acid after the Peeling Solution. You can use Azelaic Acid on other days when not using the Peeling Solution.

Also, do not use the Peeling Solution on the eye contour or Azelaic Acid.
Hi Melissa, can I wash my face also with Cerave SA gel smoothing cleanser before using Azelaic acid? Thanks

Hi
Could you tell me if I can use Azelaic Acid Suspension alone (PM) after cleansing my face ?
yes, of course :)
hi! how about azelaic acid with benzoyl peroxide?
Yes, they can be used together! However, if sensitivity occurs, keep them separate. Use one in the AM and the other one in the PM.
Woops I made the mistake in using the Azelaic acid in the morning left on then used 30% AHA/BHA in the evening for 10 mins and have more redness than usual - hopefully it will go down quick tho and my guess is it’s just gone deeper causing it to peel more.
Generally that shouldn't be an issue. How often do you use the peeling solution? 🤔
But I guess I have a tolerance to acids so all good 😊 👌🏼
Dear Melissa, can I use Azelaic acid after Ascorbic acid 8% Alpha arbutin 2% in the morning? Thanks for your videos 😊
Yes, that's fine. Use your Vitamin C serum before applying Azelaic Acid.
Hi! I am currently pregnant and have noticed a 360 change on my skin. I started breaking out on my forehead, down to my temples and even on my chest. I just recently found out that I shouldn't be using a lot of my skincare products, no wonder my skin wasn't getting any better.
Not sure about Cosrx since it's mostly marketing, not sure if they are trustworthy.

Hey :)
Use the Caffeine Solution after your Toner, then move on to Niacinamide and use your moisturiser before apply the Azelaic Acid Suspension; this feels nicer on the skin and can give you a bit more slip when applying Azelaic Acid and then follow with your sunscreen.
Paula's Choice Azelaic Acid has a nicer texture, which you may prefer because the Ordinary Suspension can be a bit drying and difficult to apply. Or have a look at Facetheroy's Azelaic Acid or from Geek & Gorgeous, those are serums.
