I wonder if that's party due to cultural influence. Most of the top influencers on social media are American, and they definitely love to cake on the product there. Meanwhile, Goss is from England, and in most of Europe (really most of the world besides America) they prefer to keep it more subtle and natural
Something Lisa Eldridge said about foundation really stuck with me. She said foubdation is for evening out the skin tone not to cover imperfections. Concealer is used in the places where you need to cover. This advice helps me just use enough to thinly give my entire face a sheer coat instead of trying to mask it on. Love my British UA-cam mua!
When I was a Nutrimetics Cosmetics demonstrator years ago, the approach you describe, is how we used to demonstrate. A pea sized dollop of foundation applied sparingingly with a damp sea sponge for the whole face. As I recall, concealer was blended with a touch of foundation and applied prior to foundation....It's been nearly 30 years, and I'm a bit hazy.
@@HatsumomoKuroi As I've gotten closer to the dreaded 60 (not there yet), I'm starting to need to cover up the damage done by spending great swathes of my teens (the 70s) with baby oil or coconut oil all over and lying in the Aussie sun for hours at a time (yes Nanna, you were right) . Never a SPF higher than 4 in those days....lol.
@@shjsbsjwn I had severe cystic acne and scarring in my teens (has very much faded now I'm in my 50s). Foundation and makeup in general makes them seem worse (to me) if used almost like you'd use spakfilla for cracks in walls. Use makeup to draw attention away from the scars - emphasis your eyes, your smile.
I love this because he explains WHY, I'm fed up of influencers just doing stuff and me copying and it won't work. I love how Wayne really delves into the reasons and methods of the very basics of it, but it's more important knowing this than doing a super sparkle cut crease halo liner mega eye. Thank you for being the best and most knowledgeable guy out there 🙌
Ya know, I have never seen a masculine guy, who is entirely comfortable in his own skin, that owns who he is, that can wear makeup in a way that doesn't look like makeup, til you.
He never said you should throw it. I'll help you save product. You can use it to apply foundation(it will barely absorb it) and then you can blend using a sponge.
*Theresia * Loool!!! He actually said “shat” which is really a thing... And yes one of the make artist at Sephora recommended it to me, but I obviously thought it was “shat” so I chose another brush...
@@guarjamelanistic5716 he said shite. Its shat doesnt make sense, it implies the brush has had a shit, whereas shite, means shit, the brush is shit. Hes British, its a Brit word for shit. I dont know why we use it, i dont hear it used by anyone else than us Brits

Beauty Mar The crazy thing is they’re the ones who don’t need it, they all have the nicest skin! If that was me I’d just wear a light mineral foundation and leave it at that.
Tabs B they have nice skin because they get facials and peels. I’ve started doing glycolic peels at home and the difference is amazing. I never thought I’d be one of those people with beautiful skin, but now I am.
Tabs B 🤣 Right?! They be like I have a minor breakout & some redness! I stare like “btch where?! Let your skin breathe!” Last thing you should do is cake on a breakout anyway. 🤦🏽♀️

Most helpful video on UA-cam seriously .. people give myth without know the fact but u are makeup god honestly ..u knw the real reason and root of everything
Several years ago, I learned to stipple, then blend, on foundation from you, & every single time, to this day, I do it I am thankful to you for teaching me in your video; this bc my somewhat expensive foundation is now just plain not sooo expensive BECAUSE I don’t waste so much of it, BECAUSE of you! You are so awesome, in so many, many ways, but, WOW, certainly as an amazing man who knows & teaches us Everything about makeup & how to use it. AND, you seem to actually care about us (God only knows WHY you would!?!), but you do, and, I love you so much, I wish you were my son! Much love, all the way from Texas 💖✨💖✨💖
Another trick is to use a small glass plate and put a tiny bit of foundation on it. Then if you need more you can dot out a tiny amount again but you dont get product absorbing into your hand so you use every scrap. :)
@@SadieMc81 now I know what to use a beautiful tiny (shallow) decorative glass bowl I have for! It's a joy to look at but I hate owning useless items and have been looking for some way to use it regularly. Thank you!
I take makeup very seriously, always have. It's like magic! You look yourself in the mirror and think "it's hopeless," then apply makeup and voila! You're gorgeous!
Haha that excitement on your face when you showed the beauty blender jar😂 .. Wayne, hope your progress is going well on the new products you're making. Would love to hear an update. You don't have to talk about make up always, I wish you could talk more about yourself sometimes because you seem like such a nice person :)
The side with less foundation is how I’ve been doing it and I still feel like it’s a lot even though I have acne / scarring. A lot of full coverage foundation isn’t really needed , instead just use concealer on the spots you feel you need more coverage on. So many of these UA-camrs already have beautiful skin naturally and they cover it all up unnecessarily. I get that everyone has different preferences and methods but truly natural looking skin/foundation really does compliment a makeup look better in my opinion.
I just started working at a Charlotte Tilbury counter a few weeks ago and this is EXACTLY what I tell everyone that sits in my chair. Everyone that wants "makeup that looks like their natural skin" has misconceptions about how much foundation they use. 9 times out of 10, they use WAY more than they need to. Sometimes you even need less than a pump; just enough to correct any redness, which is really the only problem that a majority of people who sit in my chair need. Just spot conceal any blemishes, and you're good to go.
Carmen Congrats! And yes!! These other youtubers use around 5 pumps and go “just a little bit. Not too much” ummmmmm you’re using a $50 foundation and it’s wayyyyy to much. It’s sitting on the skin. Half the reason these poor young girls now think they are supposed to use it like this. It’s not a good look for anything but on camera.
This is the reason I always respected you and loved your content. You educate people about makeup and show how to better one's skills at makeup artistry.
I do that too, I just dot one pump on the inside of my face where most of the ruddiness is, and then use a concealer to spot correct and do the undereyes :) It has a beautiful real skin effect
Julia Harris I started wearing makeup in the 90s, and there are some things I’ve never changed. I did throw out the “never wear more than 3 eyeshadows at a time” rule, though. 🙂
I want to thank you for your videos. I will be 53 on the 28th of this month. Makeup has changed since I was younger and always wore it and you have been really showing me the new ways to apply now.I hope you get your alone time sweetie and some peace. I enjoy watching you‼
I personally love using a brush ! Its been years since I took your advice. I use a stippling brush or a flat top dense brush like the elf powder brush . I always use a small amount of foundation and pump it on my hand first and then I use the blot technique in an old video you showed us . I love all your advice and they truly work and are ever lasting tips !
That's the bit that I love. Everlasting. Trendy makeup is fun, and has its place, but Wayne's tips will still allow you to apply make up well no matter what's trending :)
Agreed! I love Wayne and his old-school, 'less is more' tutorials, tips, and techniques. Plus, he's fucking hilarious! The end of his videos are the absolute best! 🤣 That being said, I got Kevyn Aucoin's first book (I can't remember the name right now) and Face Forward about 20 years ago and they have been my make-up bibles ever since. . Waaaay before UA-cam was in existence, to the best of my knowledge, anyway). The world truly lost an incredible artist and person when he passed.
Thanks for the lesson, after hours of annoying research on how to use my new flat top brush, I finally found you. Now I know why paddle brushes and sponges never satisfied me, always ended up using my fingers for a normal look. Super happy to see that you used a darker foundation, it makes it easier for us to see the difference and effect. This is what I call a professional !
You really do share some great information. I used to have good luck with brushes. Now that I'm 59 I have better luck putting it on with my fingers or a beauty blender. It's a b*tch getting older! 😂 Thank you for sharing this! I'm glad you chose not to leave the contour and highlighter straight up!!! 😂 Sorry you don't get a day on your own. Be careful what you wish for!!
The fact alone that you put your ad at the end of the video....bloody awesome, and thanks for that ( I did indeed watch the ad to the very end) I haven't seen any other in the beauty community do that, then again, I don't watch guru's per se, I watch a handful, literally of those that are here because its a passion, not a paycheck (Panacea81 a.k.a. Lauren, WHERE are you girl xo , I miss you) I find on my old skin that a sponge works best and is most complimentary, but on occasion, I do use a small fuller brush to apply foundation and have definitely noticed that less is more. Wayne, thanks luv, keep taking good care of mum. Lotsa '.'
@lauraellen81 I saw I saw!!! TYVM for mentioning it to me tho :):):) I was surprised when I got the notification that she uploaded I thought, that was a coincidence huh!? So pleased. Thanks again have a great day
If you want to start, start with the Maybelline Duo contour stick and blend it out with a sponge. It’s sheer but it’s buildable if you want to make it more intense.
Just don’t. This current trend is sooooo stupid. Bronzer for contouring. Big ole Studio 54 Ziggy Stardust stripes on the face of a 25 yo YTer. I’ll be glad when it dies its overdue death 🤣 🙄
Ugh...It looked as though I had dirt on my face when I used contour. I blended well & used a light taupe shade for my pale skin but it still looked nasty. I now go without it & Wayne has stated in the past that he’s not a huge fan of contouring. In Wayne I trust.😝 He’s my favorite makeup artist/“guru” & deserves much more recognition in the beauty community. He doesn’t thrive on chaos and has always been a class act.
You are so cute. I love your beauty blender jar. It’s the makeup artists version of a jelly bean jar. I love your videos. You are short, sweet, and to the point.
OH MAN. You really got me at the end of the video... A day, on my own. I'm so with you! :-) Sending a warm hug to you. And in the mean time, I'm gonna spend time watching your videos ;-) XXXXX
I know everyone is saying it but I want to say it too, Your videos are so simple and to the point I love them so much. So informative in such a short clip. A lot of the stuff he recommends I've tried and its helped me look so flawless ♥️♥️♥️
I learn so much from this brilliant gentleman. Really, tons of gratitude! I, personally, still prefer to use my fingers for the most part. It just seems to suit me best and I like to sort of “feel” what’s going on. Thanks for the info, love🍃🌸.
I do too! But only with very natural foundation, a brush is better to buff it in with circular buffing motions so that pores and small creases will show less - certainly with more heavy duty foundation and concealer xoxo
Didn't really change...he just said there's different ways everyone does it which is why I loved that he showed both ways and the "right" way to do each of them. I kind of like his idea of using the foundation to blend it all out because I can NEVER blend my contour correctly when it's on top.
Lol, this vid brings back memories of media makeup artistry 101. 😂 It's where I first learned to apply foundation on a model with a brush. I personally still like to blend my foundation and concealer onto my skin with my fingers, and if I'm doing any of my friends or family's makeup, I still prefer to use my fingers. Applying moisturizer and/or primer gives me a better idea on the texture of their skin, while applying foundation gives me a better idea of their bone structure/facial features and prepares me to contour and highlight the face. 😊 Thanks for bringing back the memories, Wayne! It was such a fun and exhilarating time having my first kit and learning and practicing. 😊
Wow!!! Changed my whole look and saving me $$ .....I use so much less foundation with much better look. And my foundation doesn't "break down" like it used to because it's not sliding around on my face anymore. Thanks
I consider you the "Holy Grail of makeup artists" I literally have learned so much from you and what I have been doing wrong and I feel my makeup looks so much nicer! Thanks! Btw I seen your video where you talk about some person that made a mean comment about buying a house for your mother. It really upsets me when people have to make mean comments. We don't know everyones situation and quite honestly I don't believe we should be judging. Thanks again!
At the moment, I'd love a day without Teams meetings - oh god, leave me alone! Wayne, could you do a video on how to make ourselves look good on camera - laptop type camera?
I just found you yesterday and I am a blush and mascara type of lady with some concealer under my eyes. I love your simplicity for makeup and that you are actually trying to teach normal people about makeup
I love your videos. They’re practical & I adore your sense of humor. Now, why do you want a day alone? As a therapist who doesn’t know you, yet I know people, I would venture to guess you’re an introvert at heart. Introverts like people, but in order to recharge, they need alone time to do so. Personality characteristics aside, you are such a GIVER!! You love to help others feel good about themselves. But, no matter who you are, it’s hard to give when your well is dry. If you don’t make yourself take some time to recharge, you will burn out. It’s not selfish to take care of your spirit & your soul. When you do that, you can more easily go back to doing what you love best, which is helping people. You deserve it. And you control your life. Don’t give up that control. Thank you for all you do!💗
Introverts are some of the least understood people. Armchair therapists think that being an introvert (a personality characteristic which is neutral on its own) & being antisocial (a personality disorder where essentially people lack empathy & have zero respect for others & authority) are interchangeable. They most certainly are not. Introverts are awesome. Quiet at first because they need to process stimuli prior to meaningful interaction; but once an introvert feels comfortable with someone, they’ll talk that person’s ear off!😂
Oh hun. God bless you, I needed to hear that. I'm a nurse and uhhhh have a stressful life outside of wrk. And your advice helps so much. Thank u hun. Fr not making me feel guilty Fr taking time to read charge. ♡♡♡♡
Cynthia Castaneda I’m so glad I could help you be you. People who aren’t introverts love to “guilt trip” the introverts. Your personality is as valid as anyone else’s. You must take care of yourself. There is nothing selfish about that.💗
I love Wayne "Use a brush, you'll always get more product out of a brush" "My beauty blender collection!" No shade, you are truly one of the most beautiful people inside and out. You inspire me to put on makeup at midnight so I can see your advice on my own skin. Love.
Wayne, I've been using your eye brushes #5 and #6. They are fabulous! I love how soft they are. They glide across my eye without dragging or pulling. Fantastic 💘
So True. .. it took me a while to realize that 😅 i thougt a good make up has to look like a "Nikki Tutorials look" but I failed so hard 😂 now i have my own way and just watch These Videos for entertaining😊
Ok, so you don't buff in circular motions like you would a powder foundation, just small brushing motion with smaller amounts of product, layering until you get to the desired amount. I would think part of the reason it's so important to have a really well made fine quality foundation brush like yours is so it applies smoothly and you don't start removing product as you would with a harder bristle. The Goss brushes looked as if they were firm enough to handle the product without flattening out but soft enough to not cause streaks and gently glide the product around. If you spend between $40-60 on several high-end foundations, spending that amount once on the best quality brush would only seem sensible. I bet anyone having a difficult time with using a foundation brush might want to try a better made one! Boy, won't it be great when all the top-rated Goss Brushes come with little video tutorials on how to use them, right? Who else offers that? LOL! Just a bit of fun and a few ideas... And I just said yesterday how much I enjoy being alone, how I'm never stressed or bored when it's just me!! I get to live my life, how wonderful! Well done, please keep going with more brushes. xo
At 6:50 in, Wayne said, "I'M NOT ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE", and then I almost choked on my water by 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂! I've SEEN people just LEAVE it like that. WHYYYYYYYY?!?!?!
I’ve been following Wayne Goss for many years now and I watch his videos occasionally but I’ve always recognized him as one of the most professional and respectable makeup artists around. Even on my humble beginnings in makeup I’ve learnt so much good tips from him. When I watched this video I kept saying in my mind, “YAS WAYNE PREACH PREEEAAAACCCHHHH!” I’m already considered an experienced artist and I realized that I could connect with Wayne in so many different levels especially when it comes to common sense in makeup like this topic he had just covered. These are steps I’ve learnt myself through experience and apply in my daily life at work when doing clients’ makeovers or just giving application tips! Wayne NEEDS to go even more viral than he is now coz he just gives makeup tips that are so on point! I’m glad to have watched him since my humble beginnings!
I love using sponges but it sucks up so much product that I think it's wasting my product.. Paddle brushes I think are useless.. Your brushes are beautiful but honestly, I can't afford them so I try and buy the best brush for what I can afford and your'e right, you need MUCH MUCH less foundation with a brush. Hmm Wayne are you an introvert perhaps? If so, Introverts Unite! :) XO LOL
This is so helpful. I see others on UA-cam try foundation brushes that brands release and almost all are deemed terrible or not as good as the beauty blender. I suspected some of these brushes were actually good, but they weren’t being used properly. Thank you so much for seeing how foundation brushes work! I still love the Beauty Blender, since I prefer lighter foundation coverage for every day, but this will be great for when I need more full coverage without ending up with a cakey face.
Oh, thankgawd! I've struggled with brushing foundation and quit trying, because I could never get them to blend it properly. This really broke out the pertinent points. SMALL AMOUNT, chiefly among them. Thanks, Wayne! I think I can do this, now!
I have a question on my mind for a long time. So if u dont want any darkness under the eyes how can you put the brush on the creme contouring and immediately after under the eye area? Dont get me wrong i am not saying it does not work cause i havent tried this but how does it work? I would use 2 brushes for that
Years ago, I got one of those foundation paddle brushes when I purchased a few items after I make over. When the Elizabeth Arden artist used it, my skin looked wonderful. I still look at that brush I got some 9-10 years ago longingly. Lol.
I only watch the Beauty Gurus for entertainment, but come to you for actual tutorials. You actually give advice and steps. :) Also: "I'd like a day, on my own, by myself- not seeing anyone." ME. I need those me days otherwise I won't be able to function very well. I'm a cashier and after multiple days in a row I'm just like- NO. NO MORE. NO MORE PEOPLE. lol
I’m an 80s baby, big hair and extravagant makeup. You have helped guide me through foundation, contouring, highlighting, and using the correct brushes! Thank you 🌹♥️🏆🏆🏆
Honestly, Wayne. You're brilliant. I so wish I'd found you earlier. You're a life-saver! All these bunch of youtubers are more about the brand and less about the technique and you're unlike them. I love you for that. ❤❤❤❤❤
Be kind to yourself and create that lost day, handsome. We all need to close the shutters and pull up the drawbridge once in a while to get back on track. 🌿🥀
I typically use a flat paddle brush to evenly distribute about 1 - 1 1/2 pumps of foundation to my face. Then I use my damp sponge to blend the foundation onto my face and into my skin. I find I use much less product and the sponge soaks up little to no product.
I'm 34 and when I was a young teen my mum used to buy me lots of makeup and beauty books. All of these books said to Nit used a foundation sponge because, as you said, it absorbs the makeup and so u need so much more foundation than if you didn't have a sponge because so much gets wasted. So I never bought a sponge. However, over the past decade sponges have become more popular, and now it seems like it's a makeup essential. Can you tell me what the advantages of using a sponge are? As I'm.thinking of using one for the first time ever! Do they really waste lots of foundation? (Im not exactly flush with cash!) If anyone could help.id b most grateful!
So you're correct with saying that a sponge does absorb foundation. The way you apply your foundation will determine if it takes more product to cover your face or not. Have you ever applied your foundation and thought afterwards it looked a little heavy or cakey? If so, a beauty blender would absolutely help with that. In my opinion, also helps the foundation mesh with the skin a little better and create more of an airbrushed look. The only product it really seems to pick up is the excess on your face. Here's my tips on using it: First, dampen your sponge. You do this by getting it wet under warm water so it grows twice it's size. Then wring out the excess water, roll it in a towel and squeeze once. Next, apply foundation with your fingers on your face in little dots. You can spread the foundation all over with either your fingers or a brush. After that's done, bounce the blender all over your face. I promise you'll see a difference in the finish of your foundation and it'll look super smooth and silky and just look amazing 😊 lmk if you have any questions 😁
Wayne, with all my love and respect. Take that day you need for yourself and don't worry about anything. You will feel better and the world will not have changed while you took that much-needed break. Thanks for being this great
I refinish furniture and this is exactly how we do our glazing and stippling. I use my art background to help me w makeup but never used any foundation brush. This makes a huge difference. I could never wear foundation because it looked like a mask.
Kayla Billings I love the Air-brush 💕in my opinion it is one of the best because it's very versatile I have used it for highlight, bronzer, blush and the buffing technique. My next favorite is the 05 pencil brush it is extremely soft and blends eyeshadow beautifully. I also like 18, 20. If you get one I highly recommend the Air-brush. My next purchase will be the cheek brush. I have been slowly replacing my lower quality brushes.

Leslie Haskell that’s why I don’t use foundation at all 😁
@@HatsumomoKuroi As I've gotten closer to the dreaded 60 (not there yet), I'm starting to need to cover up the damage done by spending great swathes of my teens (the 70s) with baby oil or coconut oil all over and lying in the Aussie sun for hours at a time (yes Nanna, you were right) . Never a SPF higher than 4 in those days....lol.
but what if u have acnes and scars all over ur face 😅
@@shjsbsjwn I had severe cystic acne and scarring in my teens (has very much faded now I'm in my 50s). Foundation and makeup in general makes them seem worse (to me) if used almost like you'd use spakfilla for cracks in walls. Use makeup to draw attention away from the scars - emphasis your eyes, your smile.
Is it appropriate to say that he’s the British Bob Ross of makeup, yes?
Yes ♡

Interesting. I was thinking Kevyn Aucoin
Happy little brushes

Me too. Always makes me smile :)
I love this because he explains WHY, I'm fed up of influencers just doing stuff and me copying and it won't work. I love how Wayne really delves into the reasons and methods of the very basics of it, but it's more important knowing this than doing a super sparkle cut crease halo liner mega eye. Thank you for being the best and most knowledgeable guy out there 🙌
I agree :)
Yes.
That’s a great way to explain it! “Super sparkle cut crease halo liner mega eye” 🤣
Came here to give you an even 300 likes and because you made a great point that I appreciated 😆
Ya know, I have never seen a masculine guy, who is entirely comfortable in his own skin, that owns who he is, that can wear makeup in a way that doesn't look like makeup, til you.

Me: owns a paddling brush
He: we're going to throw it out because it's absolute shite
Me: well okay, thanks make-up store for reccomending it.
He never said you should throw it. I'll help you save product. You can use it to apply foundation(it will barely absorb it) and then you can blend using a sponge.
Exactly how I felt
*Theresia * Loool!!! He actually said “shat” which is really a thing... And yes one of the make artist at Sephora recommended it to me, but I obviously thought it was “shat” so I chose another brush...
@@guarjamelanistic5716 he said shite. Its shat doesnt make sense, it implies the brush has had a shit, whereas shite, means shit, the brush is shit. Hes British, its a Brit word for shit. I dont know why we use it, i dont hear it used by anyone else than us Brits

Wayne, your forehead is stunning!
Your right side foundation application is how most youtubers apply foundation. 🤣 SO MUCH PRODUCT! 🎂🍰🍰🍰 Face & they call it “full coverage.”🤦🏽♀️🤣😭

You edited this comment and it’s still unreadable... nice
I understood what she/he said so I wouldn't say its unreadable.
Saby Saby you, it’s only two extra letters.

Wayne Goss super excited for it! Sure we'll love it cos the brushes are amazing. :)
yes please!!!!❤
The side with less foundation is how I’ve been doing it and I still feel like it’s a lot even though I have acne / scarring. A lot of full coverage foundation isn’t really needed , instead just use concealer on the spots you feel you need more coverage on. So many of these UA-camrs already have beautiful skin naturally and they cover it all up unnecessarily. I get that everyone has different preferences and methods but truly natural looking skin/foundation really does compliment a makeup look better in my opinion.
Thanks. I really appreciate you putting your knowledge out int he world.

Omg you watch Wayne too! Love y'all the house!
Carmen do you know what concealer he’s using? I wish he listed it.
This is the reason I always respected you and loved your content. You educate people about makeup and show how to better one's skills at makeup artistry.
This is how I originally put my foundation on in my teens! The dotting product all over. Funny how things do a 360 and end up coming back around xx
Julia Harris I was just thinking, didn't Michelle Phan do this aaages ago?
Silvia S. I don’t know Hun. Just remember doing it in the 90’s x
Julia Harris I am much older. And have done it since I can remember like late 70s. This ís awesome technique!
I have to thank you for making me realise that buying tons and tons of makeup just means you end up with a lot of expired products and wasted money.
Stippling nose contour up is a new tip for me.
You had me at "mental"
I want to thank you for your videos. I will be 53 on the 28th of this month. Makeup has changed since I was younger and always wore it and you have been really showing me the new ways to apply now.I hope you get your alone time sweetie and some peace. I enjoy watching you‼
This is so sweet!

Oh my gosh I thought I was the only one! But, am going to try what we learned today!

Thanks for sharing your wealth of knowledge :) Great explanations!
Its weird watching Wayne doing demos you dont even notice hes got a beard, its like so normal to me now seeing men in make up
The fact alone that you put your ad at the end of the video....bloody awesome, and thanks for that ( I did indeed watch the ad to the very end) I haven't seen any other in the beauty community do that, then again, I don't watch guru's per se, I watch a handful, literally of those that are here because its a passion, not a paycheck (Panacea81 a.k.a. Lauren, WHERE are you girl xo , I miss you)
I find on my old skin that a sponge works best and is most complimentary, but on occasion, I do use a small fuller brush to apply foundation and have definitely noticed that less is more.
Wayne, thanks luv, keep taking good care of mum. Lotsa '.'
Mel P I always get ads in the beginning and in the middle of his videos, as I did in the one. There’s one at the end, as well.
Weird huh? Guess that's YT for ya ;-)
Mel P she just came back!!! Seriously she has a new vid up go look!
@lauraellen81 I saw I saw!!! TYVM for mentioning it to me tho :):):) I was surprised when I got the notification that she uploaded I thought, that was a coincidence huh!? So pleased. Thanks again have a great day
Contouring seems almost scary... like it could go very wrong, very easily.
Claire Conover and you are correct I looked like a drag queen for 3 months lol
If you want to start, start with the Maybelline Duo contour stick and blend it out with a sponge. It’s sheer but it’s buildable if you want to make it more intense.
I’m terrified of contouring. Never tried it. Never will (well maybe not never).
I still go back and revisit these great tutorials for a refresher course, even though this is 4 years old. Love your tutorials Wayne.

When I learned to do makeup years and years ago we where taught to put concealer under our foundation I was wondering when it changed.
Thanks for bringing back the memories, Wayne! It was such a fun and exhilarating time having my first kit and learning and practicing. 😊
Wow!!! Changed my whole look and saving me $$ .....I use so much less foundation with much better look. And my foundation doesn't "break down" like it used to because it's not sliding around on my face anymore. Thanks
YEAH!

I swear, you and Lisa Elridge are the best in terms of tutorial and how to get it right. Love you! ❤
Thank you for all you do!💗
Love this comment so much! And as an introvert myself I relate 100%
Quiet at first because they need to process stimuli prior to meaningful interaction; but once an introvert feels comfortable with someone, they’ll talk that person’s ear off!😂
Love this comment!

I can't remember the last time I touched a makeup sponge.
:) XO LOL
I use my sponges dry which seem to help with product.

I also recommend rt expert face brush! It's amazing, my foundation never looked better

"just shite." Thank you for that.
Is also about sponsoring, etc.
The sponge is not as good as some brushes out there, weird how things turned around.

Oh, thankgawd! I've struggled with brushing foundation and quit trying, because I could never get them to blend it properly. This really broke out the pertinent points. SMALL AMOUNT, chiefly among them. Thanks, Wayne! I think I can do this, now!

Yes sir!!! 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 Cakey is not the look I am going for plus you will save more money and not waste all you foundation in two applications.

Will try this..thx
I do the same, great mind think alike
Here's my tips on using it:
First, dampen your sponge.
Emmi Jackson this is exactly what I do and I’ve never had streaky foundation on my face ever again!
You are an Excellent teacher Wayne, I will for sure get that brush...
Dear Wayne,
I can totally relate to you! I hope your wish was granted!
Sending lots of love ❤️
I’ve been doing my foundation all wrong!! Thanks so much for this video. Will use your method from now on 😊
If you were to recommend three brushes from your collection to start off, what would they be?
Kayla Billings I love the Air-brush 💕in my opinion it is one of the best because it's very versatile I have used it for highlight, bronzer, blush and the buffing technique. My next favorite is the 05 pencil brush it is extremely soft and blends eyeshadow beautifully. I also like 18, 20. If you get one I highly recommend the Air-brush. My next purchase will be the cheek brush. I have been slowly replacing my lower quality brushes.
I love how he shared his feelings at the end it makes him seem like the average joe👍🥰
