Supercruise Assist can smash arrival times at stations, especially for Robigo Mines as there is no need to line up with a slot. Okay as a person looking at this as a way to avoid some of the painful boring grind for engineering mats I was with it until the life support lightweight at grade 4. Unless I'm mistaken the only ones I can get that from are lori jameson, which I'd have to have access to shinratta for which I don't, or Dorne which requires me to A, unlock her in the first place, but more importantly make a 22,000ly journey to colonia without an engineered vessel which I'm not even sure if that's actually doable in the first place. How big a requirement is that lightweight life support to getting this route down to a 2 jump run? I can do it in 3 as it stands but that 1 extra jump starts wearing my patience thin after the 20th run.
@D2EA You may want to revise this video already. Seems that, as of today (30-12-21), all Robigo-Sothis sightseeing passenger missions are now listed as 'Demanding' in Odyssey. So every VIP passenger going to Sothis will demand you go do something or find something for them during the mission, with failure resulting in lower payouts. The strange thing is that this isn't happening in Horizons, they are still normal in that (a few are demanding, but not all). So I'm wondering if this is a bug introduced today, or a 'fix' to nerf the payouts. I've reported it as a bug on the FDev tracker just in case it is a bug.
Hause's Reach is pretty funny though, it's a station on the dramatic spot that if you using assist you will always disengages onto the rotating wheel, for so many times I thought my little passenger DBX(one jump build because I'm lazy) would be dead, or the passengers will get mad due to the bumps, but in the end games having some protections for at least, and I knew that because it actually landed me into the wheel and ejects me out. lol You don't actaully needs to dive though(unless something changed?), but sometime the nav point will blockcade by the belt(or the planet), it will delay your for a few seconds. Can't say I recommend it for a lot, unless you really wants station services or that drama-rated disengages. xD
I've been meaning to build a passenger Python and station it in Robigo, but always get sidetracked by other goals or events in game. Thanks for the reminder and the config suggestions!
Robigo has been my home for a couple years. Hauser’s Reach allows me to do whatever I want from Passenger Missions to swapping ships and Bounty Hunting in the multiple RES. Robigo Mines being faster is negligible.
You could swap one passenger cabin with a fuel scoop and swap it at Hausers reach, or get there in another ship and have the Python transported to Hausers reach. (that's wat i did)
I'm getting ready for Ceos-Sothis grind for Fed. I was planning on running solo due to the ganker situation, but how bad is the interdiction for the higher threat missions? I've noticed in other systems they're hit and miss. Threat 8 may not have 1 interdiction, but a Threat 5 can have several. Was just wondering what your experience in that area has been.. o7 CMDR
@@Boba_Brett13 Well, it's been quite a while, almost a year, since I've been back in the Bubble. I'm slowly making my way back from the Dryou Awesomes System. You can always check Inara for System security stats though, they keep good records there about system security.
I'm new to Elite dangerous, so just discovered this channel... HOLY CRAP! It's a German Ed Sheeran! :D NOICE. OH and absolutely great video, thanks for the Info!
I'm out for couple of years. I only had a couple of engineers. Questions time: Is this still active? I remember I was lazy af, I have a corvette but didn''t enjoyed combat that much. I want money to try new things Is that possible to raise imperial rank even being high rank as federal? Will I loose the federal rank/my corvette? I want to buy a cutter to make huge missions like transportation and etc, but I don't wanna it to take days and days into grinding money. I have a few hours per day to play. I don't wanna waste them.
Another quality video! Thanks! I recently got back into Elite after buying a PC and downloading Odyssey. It's been a while and I feel like I did when I first started playing since I decided not to transfer my 7 billion in assets.
I just got a hint not sure how good will it be but how heavy are size 3 mlc for exploration conda so you use just 1 controler for different limpets that u will need in case you need mats :D
Great run! I haven't seen an Imperial rank up mission, tho? I check the mission and passenger boards after each run. I have gone from Pathfinder to Pioneer.
Imperial rank missions come from factions that a) are empire aligned and b) you're cordial or higher with, and you'll need to earn an amount of reputation with any (can be multiple, and will spill over the visible cap) empire aligned factions. The same applies to the alliance and federation.
I don't know what it's like on PC but on Console I get up to as much as 3 interdiction's per station trying to do the Ceos to Sothis loop. It's so annoying af that I just can't do it anymore.
@@cmdrandreyuenari4150 That's the catch. If you don't load up on missions then it's really not worth your while. I just spread out what I do all over the place now instead of trying to focusing on one area. It makes things more interesting and less boring. It also seems to make it harder for the NPC's to get a fix on you.
So considering coming back to elite, is this still viable? And since i havent even started engineering stuff yet, am i correct that those material rewards are higher grade and can be traded down to get other stuff thus keeping me from doing content i have no interest in?
I've been doing this for 3 days so far and I'm almost to Post Captain. It seems like it's taking far longer than I expected. Maybe it's normal speed. I've just noticed that I pick up the missions from Federation Unite and when I go turn it in I also get faction for the Independent contacts and the turn in mission with have their symbol instead of the Federation Symbol when I selected the mission. Is this a bug or normal?
I experienced my ship getting blown from under me during a level 5 security/risk(?) mission on solo mode but you seem to take no notice. Am I missing something? Apologies for a noob question but the game did warn me at the time my novice rank might mean I was in over my head and now I'm paranoid!
Probably cause you are new and have a weak ship that can't handle the beasts that are coming for you. I would stick with or close to those warnings at least until you start engineering, or get a monster ship
nice tutorial, but ive noticed the mat missions run out pretty quickly, i have my reps maxed with both the factions and after 2 runs with 6 mat rewards there arent any mat rewards anymore, just money
@@lkupiec1978 Hmm, seems like if I go from Robigo mines its ok, there is seldom authority vehicles there. But If I got from a bigger station I will get caught directly trying to leave the slot. That’s a mistake. The Baluga has to pick up from Howser’s Reach which has a few things going against it. A: it’s directly on the very cutting edge of planet rings…. You can literally coast out of the station and boost into the asteroids to mine. Depending on time of day, your super cruise can end as you return smacking you into asteroids, or the station itself. 2: for some crazy reason, the passengers pay less out of Howser’s reach…. Likely due to the idea that since there are more seats on the Luga, there is less demand… and there is never a call for a luxury cabin to atmospherics. Stick to python and the station Robigo mines.
the old robigo slave runs were the best.... you could adjust the difficulty by the amount of missions you took - the more you took the harder it got and if you took enough you had a proper white knuckled ride back to the bubble chased by both the cops and pirates - 1 scan and all the missions were failed - only the best made it back with all the missions maxed out - and managed to avoid the interdictions or avoid the cops and pirates that could drop right in front of you just after you hit the boost button! lol and if you managed to get to your next drop off you had to sneak into stations with silent running and everythig switched off including shields and the engines and glide in with fingers crossed that you lined up with the slot properly..... best gaming experience in ED i everr had... made my 1st 8bn doing them sadly they killed it quite a few years ago when they broke the heat mechanic
If you do Robigo Mines missions then you very rarely have this problem as you can stock up on missions that don't involve carrying illegal passengers. I use a python and can easily make 80m an hour. Even if you do pick up illegal passengers from Robigo Mines you will very rarely get scanned.
@@zip7275 thanks...but I can't engineer my fsd range high enough yet...unlocked grade 5, but not collected enough materials yet to make a grade 5 mod...my python only does about 20 ly when full. You need about 30+ ly range to do Robigo passenger missions?
The only problem with the Robigo run after your Max ranked federal and empire and your just out there for the cheddar… is that it’s boring as hell. Like mind numbing boring. If you suffer from any sleep deprivation at all, it will catch up to you running Robigo.
They nerfed the whole game! I can't get a huge load of passengers nor can I find platinum to mine anymore. This video is 2 years old so I am visiting with those ships. Why did they do this?

Takes too long, just go, for combat for mats and scan ships at compromised nav sats. All too much running about for too long combat is way faster to collect mats in the time you've taken to get to Robigo. Just a rehash to get clicks.
Being able to boost at Robigo Mines can save you a lot of time and frustration. If you hit boost the moment you drop out of supercruise, you'll be in range to get your docking permission before any NPCs spawn and hog the single medium pad.

The strange thing is that this isn't happening in Horizons, they are still normal in that (a few are demanding, but not all). So I'm wondering if this is a bug introduced today, or a 'fix' to nerf the payouts. I've reported it as a bug on the FDev tracker just in case it is a bug.
Hause's Reach is pretty funny though, it's a station on the dramatic spot that if you using assist you will always disengages onto the rotating wheel, for so many times I thought my little passenger DBX(one jump build because I'm lazy) would be dead, or the passengers will get mad due to the bumps, but in the end games having some protections for at least, and I knew that because it actually landed me into the wheel and ejects me out. lol
You don't actaully needs to dive though(unless something changed?), but sometime the nav point will blockcade by the belt(or the planet), it will delay your for a few seconds. Can't say I recommend it for a lot, unless you really wants station services or that drama-rated disengages. xD
I've been meaning to build a passenger Python and station it in Robigo, but always get sidetracked by other goals or events in game. Thanks for the reminder and the config suggestions!
I earned many a credit in my*day in a passenger python, *sniff* brings a tear to my eye.
Grinding Fed rank in an Imperial Courier, lol
I need to get back into Elite.
Just need to stay away from the FPS part as i play only in VR.
Robigo has been my home for a couple years. Hauser’s Reach allows me to do whatever I want from Passenger Missions to swapping ships and Bounty Hunting in the multiple RES. Robigo Mines being faster is negligible.
The problem is that it's in a grvity well of a ringed gas giant, so the time to station increases dramatically
What's your favourite energy drink?
Well I suggest you should mention, that you need a carrier to go there. The suggestes Python-build isn't capable to reach Robigo on its one.
You could swap one passenger cabin with a fuel scoop and swap it at Hausers reach, or get there in another ship and have the Python transported to Hausers reach. (that's wat i did)
That reminds me, I have a Beluga that's been at Hauser's Reach for a couple years. I wonder if the battery is dead 🤔
It'll be out of MOT for sure
Wish me a reason come back to the console edition, keep Going ASTRO
I have a Dedicated Python (engineered), specifically for the Robigo Passenger Grind - Robby.
For best results - Solo Play, gankers love Robigo.
The more the number of FCs in the system, the more the chances of Gankers being present. Something I learnt the hard way.
You can always check Inara for System security stats though, they keep good records there about system security.
I'm new to Elite dangerous, so just discovered this channel... HOLY CRAP! It's a German Ed Sheeran! :D NOICE. OH and absolutely great video, thanks for the Info!
I'm playing years of catchup here, but your videos and Yamiks should be stamped Official.
Excellent tutorial, it really helped explain the process.
I've been doing this for the last month. I'm allied with all the factions and I've never seen a pay out for more than 2.5 mill for the Sothis run.
I'm out for couple of years. I only had a couple of engineers. Questions time:
Is this still active?
I remember I was lazy af, I have a corvette but didn''t enjoyed combat that much.
I want money to try new things
Is that possible to raise imperial rank even being high rank as federal? Will I loose the federal rank/my corvette?
I want to buy a cutter to make huge missions like transportation and etc, but I don't wanna it to take days and days into grinding money. I have a few hours per day to play. I don't wanna waste them.
Minimum Jumprange is 30,21Ly
Sorry stupid question incoming: your GUI looks so different from mine - and much better. Is this an Odyssey thing? I'm still on Horizons...
Yes, Odyssey thing.
Same question here.
Another quality video! Thanks! I recently got back into Elite after buying a PC and downloading Odyssey. It's been a while and I feel like I did when I first started playing since I decided not to transfer my 7 billion in assets.
Only about 2-3 missions available for materials and 2-3 each
Thanks for the video.
I just got a hint not sure how good will it be but how heavy are size 3 mlc for exploration conda so you use just 1 controler for different limpets that u will need in case you need mats :D
There is no security in robigo so no1 will scan your ship what will reduce the passenger/criminal satisfy
I don't seem to have enough fuel for a round trip in almost identical build. Must be doing something wrong.
Why does your station interface and system information view look so different from mine? Is it a dlc feature or something?
Thank you for the video ! Great content
Ahh the old days of fast hauling “fertilizer” from Robigo… used to be how to get an anaconda in a couple of runs.
Do saud kruger ships are really better for passengers mission tho?
I don't know what it's like on PC but on Console I get up to as much as 3 interdiction's per station trying to do the Ceos to Sothis loop. It's so annoying af that I just can't do it anymore.
The more missions you have the more likely it is that some NPC tries to interdict you.
And since i havent even started engineering stuff yet, am i correct that those material rewards are higher grade and can be traded down to get other stuff thus keeping me from doing content i have no interest in?
thank you great video
Been to Robigo but Hausers Reach never showed up, I searched about it but couldn’t find out why 😔
Robigo mines is the best i got exploration rank elite a ton of credits and i can get grade 5 mats
can someone tell me a hp how to finde a system to buy a imperial cutter ?
So is this even better with the engineering changes?
I would stick with or close to those warnings at least until you start engineering, or get a monster ship
want to get back in to the game. is this run still working? or did it get nerfed?
thxs
nice tutorial, but ive noticed the mat missions run out pretty quickly, i have my reps maxed with both the factions and after 2 runs with 6 mat rewards there arent any mat rewards anymore, just money
I see empire but what bout feds? Aiming for the corvette
And if I played the game this way, how quickly would I be bored?
The Passenger Missions have been nerfed since the 'ascendancy' Update. : (
Great content.
Can i ask a kinda noob question, but why does your elite dangerous map/UI look so different to mine? is it a setting you can select?
There are 2 graphic engines in Elite. the 3.8 version used in horizon and on console, and the 4.0 version used in odyssey.
So yeah for empire rank just passenger missions with a asp explorer as well i think its good for beginners! Thanks for that👌
My missions dont go over 2mill each for some reason.
Came here looking to hopefully replace my farming spot for 3+ years, I guess not lol...
Why does his UI look so different, is it because of odyssey? Im still on horizon since im not quite sold on odyssey
Yes, the Odyssey Update ist different
Good vid as always. You shoud make a vid of how to unlock Oden geiger. o7.
I'm just getting shot at when I try to transport illegal passengers... How do I get around that?
Interesting, Not once for me but possibly due to tonne of missions I've done years ago. I'm allied with Sirius.
@@lkupiec1978 i just got allied with Sirius, so I Wil try again and see what happens.
@@lkupiec1978 Hmm, seems like if I go from Robigo mines its ok, there is seldom authority vehicles there. But If I got from a bigger station I will get caught directly trying to leave the slot.
But there is still nothing that says that those passengers are illegal.. Seems like a old known bug when I google.
Be quick about it and dont hang around
This is so helpful, thank you 😊
Hej :) Hey First love your videos. i have the game ED Horison but my menues and starmap do not look like yours... i can not finde any info on this online but could you maby make a video about the difrences of Horison and Odyssey bisides the obviously that you can wlak around... i meen the meny, starmap and other lesser higlighet featurs :) Keep up the good work ! hygge !
I'm trying to engineer a Vette, and I'm sick of farming Imperial Shielding to cross trade. Off to the mines I go.
Edit: Back to HGE farming.
All the menus and stuff looks different to what I see playing Horizons. Are you playing Odyssey? Im guessing thats the reason shits different looking?
Why this interface is so different?
Odissey. Just upgraded now. 😆
How this work in horizon?
same.
Thanks, firing up my Beluga.
Next do a video on multi limpit controllers please
the old robigo slave runs were the best.... you could adjust the difficulty by the amount of missions you took - the more you took the harder it got and if you took enough you had a proper white knuckled ride back to the bubble chased by both the cops and pirates - 1 scan and all the missions were failed - only the best made it back with all the missions maxed out - and managed to avoid the interdictions or avoid the cops and pirates that could drop right in front of you just after you hit the boost button! lol and if you managed to get to your next drop off you had to sneak into stations with silent running and everythig switched off including shields and the engines and glide in with fingers crossed that you lined up with the slot properly..... best gaming experience in ED i everr had... made my 1st 8bn doing them sadly they killed it quite a few years ago when they broke the heat mechanic
thx for the info :D, too bad G4 raw material is not included ;c
How do you avoid being scanned? No heat sink launcher....so silent running? Timing?
The game seems to have changed a bit since the last time I've played (about when mining was nerfed)
Oh god I've done this run so so so many times.....
After foot frustration, you are heading back to old habits. Flying. 🍕 😁
They nerfed the whole game! I can't get a huge load of passengers nor can I find platinum to mine anymore. This video is 2 years old so I am visiting with those ships. Why did they do this?
👍😊
Spoken too fast! Take a nap..
But really good information. I need a nap too, i will visit youre Video tomorrow ... 09
Thumbs Up 👍
another robigo video?
I mean it's good at everything, so why not?
Ugh, why does this system have to be so far away from me?
space is BIG
Just let me say thank you for you and others youtubers show all this , like as well " HOW TO" in Elite Dangerous ,and make this company NERF the game . But is not only in this game in all games . Thank you again . Keep doing a good work telling HOW TO DO and make conpanys nerf's the games ...
In English?
@@purplepason In english , have a nice day...
Takes too long, just go, for combat for mats and scan ships at compromised nav sats. All too much running about for too long combat is way faster to collect mats in the time you've taken to get to Robigo.
Just a rehash to get clicks.
please find another money mission. those passenger missions are trash
Disgusting looking at the system map and seeing all those fleet carriers. What happened to this game.. I haven't touched it in years.
