57 years after Ellen Ripley had a close encounter with the reptilian alien creature from the first movie, she is called back, this time, to help a group of highly trained colonial marines fight off against the sinister extraterrestrials. But this time, the aliens have taken over a space colony on the moon LV-426. When the colonial marines are called upon to search the deserted space colony, they later find out that they are up against more than what they bargained for. Using specially modified machine guns and enough firepower, it's either fight or die as the space marines battle against the aliens. As the Marines do their best to defend themselves, Ripley must attempt to protect a young girl who is the sole survivor of the nearly wiped out space colony.

That was no longer the case with Aliens.
Aliens was already completely done.
Starting over takes a lot of time, energy and money.
Always as Funny how the aliens were able to punch through a reinforced steel door ,😅😅😅 but it adds to the suspense
Love the fact that Gorman goes out a hero and refuses to leave Vázquez behind...
Even though he wasn’t much of a commanding officer, he redeems himself as a man by going out honorably.
Me too, it shows more than just text book characters, he might not be a great leader now but he was new-ish to actual combat readiness... he would have made a good leader. He was brave at the end... Hail Gorman!!!
Yes! I loved that part as well.
I cried when those 2 died together....😢😢
He was not a fearless leader but is a fearless soldier
Pvt vasquez was able to engage in hand to hand combat and kill a xenomorph with a pistol. Probably the only human to ever accomplish that.
They got a bit cheeky there, from what we understand up until now the Xenomorpths were vastly stronger than the humans. Its unlikely that someone ( a woman of all people) could hold one down like that, but whatever its a badass moment so lets just enjoy it.
@jainee4507 well to be fair the Alien was getting shot at point blank range, (while falling) In a very cramped area the Alien could not use its superior size and strength. By the time Vasquez pinned its head with foot (using mostly leverage) it was pretty hurt, possibly already dieing. One might even argue that her smaller size Gave her an advantage in that situation.
@@jainee4507It's called leverage. She stomped it's head against the wall as it was off-balance, while her own body was solidly wedged between the opposing wall and the xeno. Not strength, just physics. Not to mention that she blasted it before it could effectively push back.
@@teremin Fair point. The Alien still got her in the end though with the acid. It was really just a half victory for Vasquez.
@@jainee4507 Not really, she ended the engagement on her terms and destroyed the airduct preventing any further pursuit. I think they call that a Phyrric victory.
Vasquez/Gorman and Hudson were some of the best last stands in scifi cinema.
ditto man, 💯
I wholeheartedly agree!
IMO top 5
Definitely right. It's is one of the best noble death scenes and ranks right up there with Gary busey in the firm when he tells the thug that Julio Iglesias was asking about dead lawyers. Another great last stand is Charles Dutton In the other aliens movie, another one is Bruce Lee in Chinese connection when he does the jump kick into the waiting police firing line, another is the final moment of the battle in the movie Glory when they're all standing there around the flag, another is in Johnny mnemonic when Henry Rollins fights Dolph lundgren's bad guy and his death is implied
i remember one last stand where the guy starts out with rifle, then pistol, then knife to barehanded combat. i don't know the name of the movie it had zombies ,might of been a cutscene for a video game.
The way I see, Vasquez saying "You were always an asshole, Gorman" is her way of saying "I used to hate you. Not anymore, you're one of us now". Also, him coming back for her, and him helping to save Ripley and Newt is a sign of a true marine.
Poor dude just had no real experience and that's why Burke set him up to be his fall guy he could manipulate
@@Bandersnatch41I never saw it like that but it makes so much sense…
It was a term of endearment, she knew "correctly" that he was more than likely sacrificing his own life on the small off chance he could save her.
When they put their hands together over the grenade, lump in my throat every time 😢
I like how they are both looking at it. Not shutting eyes. Hudson also waits until Vasquez sees grenade before pressing it.
Honestly amazing scene. Vasquez was always a boss. Happy for Gorman's redemption too though.
it mirrors when she does the hand-slap with Drake. Such a beautiful nod.
After Vasquez hating him so much, they actually died in an embrace.
Me too.
@@michaelmcfadden396 Got you're characters confused there, Hudson got pulled under the floor a few minutes before this scene, this is Gorman.
Those two went out with a Bang. No crying or emotional speeches. An Honorable and Badass way to go.👏🏾👏🏾
They both knew they were about to die, if they were gonna die, at least they'd drag some of those aliens along with them to the grave....
Yeah good point. Never stopped to think about it. No time for bullshit. They just had to get it done. Ultimate badass.
This movie is a masterpiece, pass it on to the future gen so they know films like this exist/existed
Alien a masterpiece of sci fi horror and aliens a masterpiece of sci fi Acton adventure.
@@darksoulsss2618 is a Space Opera of Terror
this movie was made years before i was born and i love it!
I am try to show my daughters on the morrow
Vasquez handled the retreat single handed from the time Hudson is dragged under in the skirmish. That’s badass
100%! Whatever you’re gonna do do it fast
She was the MVP, they wouldnt have made it out without her.
She was the best soldier in the squad. Protecting their retreat until the very end.
Gorman might of been a asshole, but he wasn't a bad guy. He was just green to combat and was arrogant. By when shit got real he went out like a badass trying to save Vasquez. He definitely was more of a man than Burke.
I loved this scene. How Gorman after running out of ammo and ditching his sidearm starts looking back and forth, grenade in hand almost like he's thinking "yeah motherfuck, I've got some shit for you right fucking here!!!"
Gorman was green but was trying yeah. Burke on the other hand was feces with flies on it. Hudson was right, should have shot his ass.
that's his arch - from pussy to badass
Not hard to be more of a man than Burke.
Fun fact, they had an extra pulse rifle, but they decided to give it to Ripley instead of Gorman :D
Vasquez pinning the alien against the wall and blasting it in the head with a .45 has to be one of my favorite scenes! This movie was so great! I was 16 when it came and I went and saw it at least 4 times. I'm 53 now and it is still one of the greatest sci-fi actions movies of all time.
I totally agree. Let's not forget Predator as well though....
Vasquez was such a badass, they are not able to make strong character like that anymore.
Funny enough the actress couldn't do it herself in a convincing manner, so they had to have Gale Anne Hurd who was the producer to do it.
Gorman had one chance at redemption and he din't blow it... well, figuratively.
I love Vasquez and always will, she was a real/actual strong woman without needing to prove it. Nowadays, that same action feels forced/disingenuous
Damn, I loooove the way Vasquez contemptuously dumps her empty pulse rifle and draws her pistol all in the same motion. Very much like how Drake ditched his smartgun and pulled his flamethrower.
Aliens handles female characters the best. There's no "girl boss" characters who shows the men how it's done, just women participating and doing their job.
True. Notice the greatest female characters NEVER mention "I'm female"
Just as the greatest male heroes never say "I'm a strong man". They just let their actions do the talking.
Which is exactly why these female characters are beloved and modern "girl boss" characters are reviled.
Exactly, this was before wokeness wormed its way into Hollywood.
Definitely 1 of the best sequels and movies of all time , for a movie of 40 years it still beats anything made today !!
Disney take note
I love Vasquez! She's my favorite character.
She’s so cool!
A roast master!
Gorman commands Hicks to keep going, then goes back for his injured marine. He went out like a total champ...Vasquez calls him an asshole a final term of endearment. Character arc: complete.
That moment when Vasquez sees that Gorman has a plan B with the grenade she goes from surprised to lets do this in seconds! That is awesome acting.
Vasquez remained badass to the end and Michael Schumacher redeemed himself.
Michael Schumacher lol
Gorman was hard … he just needed a chance to prove himself… he sits tall in Valhalla
He totally redeemed himself.
And nobody but Vasquez and us ever learned that Gorman went out a hero. RIP Gorman, Vasquez, and Hudson.
Hicks knew he went back for her. He would know he died a hero.
@StarshipYorktown unfortunately Hicks Bishoo and Newt dies after the escape. Ripley shortly after. Nobody was left alive to tell their tale
@@showtyme5439I don’t acknowledge aa3 so they’re still alive lol
Amazing character growth. He didn't do it for the praise. He was arrogant before but this is a moment where he truly was selfless and no one had to know.
Today at Wondercon' I met the actress who played Vazquez, I had to pay my proper respects...She is mad cool....
consider yourself blessed meeting one of these legends, what was the conversation like?
She was also great as the stepmother in T2.
James Horner's score is everything here.
Absolutely.
This scene really shows that Gorman wasn't a bad guy or a coward. He just couldn't handle the pressure of leadership. The company picked him because of his inexperience.
Yeah he redeemed himself, went back to get a downed Marine, they died together taking out a shit ton of enemies. Just like a USMC would go out in combat!
If Vazquez had a few extra mags she woulda been in alien 3 with ripley kicking ass in that jail
The prisoners wouldn't rape her, it'd be the other way around
@hardstyle905 no... have you?
Vasquez basically saved their asses in the reactor scene.
Whoever survives gets killed in the ship alongside Newt, Hicks and Bishop 😢
In real life she hates guns
Gorman going back for Vasquez made him a true hero and a badass
One of my favorite scenes of all time. This movie was way ahead of its time!
One of the best action movies ever made. 1986 was a good year
True. 1986 was also the year of Ferris Bueller, Top Gun, The Golden Child, Stand By Me, etc….
Chernobyl happened in ‘86..

1:30 this shot freaks me out every time I see it. It's terrifying just how quick and agile the xenomorph are. Hands down one of the best movies ever made.
It was done by tilting the corridor slightly allowing the actors in suits to fall fast down the slope but on camera it looks level leading to it looking like they're running fast. great film making!
@@scottmjohnson1980 oh really?? I always just assumed the actors were on wires! Sooooo many cool little bits of genius film making in Aliens. For the longest time I was fascinated with how they did the shot of the facehugger jumping towards the camera. Love this film so much!
Hands and pants👖 down yes.😅❤
She was such a bad ass. Covered their retreat from the jump. Took a Xeno out in hand to hand combat. Then went out with a bangle when they were out of options. What an awesome character.
What a kickass scene.
The officer that had lost his senses earlier finds his courage and returns to drag an injured Vasquez to safety only to be blocked by sure torture and death in the form of the Aliens.
All of the friction between the troops and their commander prior to this scene is rectified when Goerman uncaps a grenade while Vasquez lies injured in his lap.
Goerman looks almost shocked at his own instantaneous and brave decision to end both of the lives as he holds the grenade before him, unsure.
Vasquez seizes his hand in hers and pulls the explosive closer, giving the appearance of an embrace...
Altogether, one of my favorite movie scenes ever.
Vasquez, since the moment she appears in this movie, is portrayed as a hard woman, a warrior,
Yet this final act is very intimate.
Masterfully shot scene, it moves me to tears every time I see it, and I find their mutual end sad, yet very satisfying.
The engament in hand to hand combat between vasquez and the aliens is so convincing ... how the right time and the right move vasquez got the advantage and able to kill it. Even she is smaller and weaker than her oponent. Vasquez is a hard core marine 🫡🫡🫡
She was firing her gun too, it wasn't necessarily 100% hand-to-hand. That is why it is believable. Alien fell funny and she got its head up and shot it (after previously shooting it).
Probably one of the best sacrifice scenes
THE most badass death scene in the Alien franchise. No hesitation, I’m sure there was fear but it looked the bare minimum and pure courage.
there you go: strong female character. ❤ Vasquez
Vasquez and Gorman - still better love story than Twilight! 😄
They way Gorman slaps Hicks and shouts GO!! and just takes of to make sure there is no argument is so badass. Gorman redeemed him self many times after that initial failure.
Met William Hope this weekend at Collective Con and he is one of the coolest guys ever! I didn’t even know he was in the RE3 remake too!
In all of cinema there's no death more satisfying that Burke's 😂👏
It's also been justice in a way, Burke was a traitor as well as a coward, only in this over money, but, also the worst part about Burke was about greed, what he got is what he deserved, a proper fate for a traitor and a coward...
Gorman and Vasquez deserved to survive this part, but is it just me who noticed that Vasquez started to cry at the last second she died with Gorman ??
Burke gets his Fate that was coming to him, after he did his lying and sabotaging of the mission, but at least he did rise to the occasion in one moment, when the APC was on fire he was the first dude to grab the extinguisher and put out the flames, so at least in that moment he was boss and he did what he had to do and he saved lives on that armored Carrier, But apart from that he was a weasely corporate thug
@@Defender78 Perhaps, at least he removed Gorman from the APC's driving seat while Ripley was trying to get Gorman off the APC's driving seat when he just freaked out after realized what they really were dealing with...
Saving Drake, Hicks, Hudson, Vasquez, Ripley herself, Bishop ( still an android, does he counts ?? ) Gorman, and Burke himself...
But Burke probably kept in mind that his own life was on the line, especially without the Marines....
All in all, Burke didn't helped anyone, he was only trying to save his own skin and he needed the Marines too much in case something went wrong...
And as we all know, something DID go wrong and he died, no weapon and no training, he was screwed when he ended up eaten alive by that Alien....
@@Black-Ratyou know in the extended scenes he is later found alive. When ripley goes to get newt from the queen she finds him walled up for a face hugger. She gives him a grenade and walks off as he detonates it
Dam only if Vasquez had another magazine for the pluse rifle!!!! God I love this movie!!! Nothing will ever touch it . Best quality video I have ever seen thanks !!
20th Century Fox NOT bringing Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sigourney Weaver together for the Ultimate Aliens vs Predators is 1 of the All-Time Greatest Mistakes that Hollywood has EVER DONE
Straight facts 🔥 great missed opportunity while both of them was in they prime
It fucked up the whole AVP franchise with that mistake alone
Wouldn't make any sense given how far in the future Alien is. You would have to have some convoluted reason for Arnold being in that timeline.
@@rmj8905 put him in Cryosleep. Problem solved
Love when Burke opened the door and the Alien was there. Burke looked at him like "This isn't my office!!!" (a True 80's fan will understand that quote)
Beverly Hills cop ❤
@@malcm79 yessss ♥️♥️
The arch of redemption makes each every character in this movie so endearing. We love them all despite their little flaws here and there. I totally love Vasquez. Her character helps shine a bright light on a military woman whose body is strong enough to be a badass gunner yet whose heart is also tender enough to care for the weak-the injured. Love this masterpiece!
The score is just genius. When they enter the ducts it drives us along. When Vasquez is attacked from above it dives into this disorienting section, while still playing the Films "motive"; da- daa- da- daaaa. When Gorman Returns, he drags her for a short time, and the driving escape drum Returns, just to be disrupted by the shocking Realization that the way is cut off. When they Decide to blow themselves up, the score is Heroic and tragic, until ut all stops, the explosion occurs and the Film as well as the score now focus solely on ripley, newt and hicks
they understood music back then
@@amvlabs5339you're a fool if you think they don't anymore. you know there's more music than just pop music on the radio, right? your ignorance is showing and if anything this should tell you to get out of your comfort zone because you don't know how wrong about this you are. best of luck friend
A lot was reused from Star Trek 2 or reworked as he didn't have much time
The score is amazing and I think there was a time we kept hearing it over and over in trailers
Vaskez from the best soldiers. Glory and memory.
Vasquez was a badass.......as she was sealing up the door her brief line..."whatever you gonna do, do it fast"..was badass too.
I was Today Years Old when I noticed Sigourney Weaver's trigger discipline. A+!
So Gorman had balls after all. He died a hero.
Ripley and Valdez were absolutely ballsy in this movie !!!
Literally one of the best moments in movie history. Horror, sci fi, badassness, tragedy, heroism, sacrifice. Its literally all there.
Two of the bad ass women ever on screen.
I bought a Smith & Wesson Model 39 specifically because that's what Vasquez carried in Aliens. Always loved the look of that pistol & the fact that she domes an alien with it makes it that much better.
Hell ya
That moment when you realized that vasquez killed more xenos than an average predator
Damn. I forgot how defiant they were here as they made their retreat. Vasquez took down a Xenomorph with a pistol as it literally landed on top of her. She was a god damn badass until the very end.
let's not overlook Hudson here too. He may have had poor judgement in leading the team in the beginning when they first entered the base, but his final sacrifice reprieved himself by doing what he could so Reply, Hicks and Newt could survive.
Aliens is a freaking masterpiece, i love this movie so much. one of the finest sequels in sci-fi history.
if you have the chance to see the 4K version, please do so. brings a whole new vision of this classic to life.
Now that's one true Marine/soldier. Their no bullshit never back down kinda attitude is what makes this whole scene so freaking brutal and badass. In my opinion, human marines with such aggressive spirit of a warrior is probably more dangerous than any extraterrestrial hostiles combined in the entire solar system! Great sacrifice shall never be forgotten and Pvt. Vasquez should be honored with a senior Rank and the highest Medal, both in combat and death!
Went out in a blaze of glory!! All gave some, some gave all.
That shit need to me the USMC recruitment commercial
Her words come with the depth of a woman who knows she'll die and he will die. scary, think about her emotional rollercoaster. On one hand she was injured and faced death a moment ago, then unexpectedly somebody comes for the rescue, just to see it wont work because Gorman is just Gorman. Not capable. Knowing he minds being no hero and shes back to facing death, she minds he will die now too, unneccessarily. Accepting her fate, she also accepts him,so they doesnt die alone but together, as in "connected". It is a masterpiece of a scene.
This is how you write strong female characters. Vasquez and Ripley are badasses. And, I love that Gorman got the chance to redeem himself and died with honor as a Marine, trying to save a fellow Marine.
Vasquez was really Brave. So was Gorman.
They NOW dine in Valhalla !!!
Vasquez = BADASS
with very big twins. 😂 Which I am impressed is that she was very strong. At that time to carry the smartgun. Because she's small. 1.60m /5.2 feet.
This is how you write a fucking badass female character
Epic scene of an epic movie
Gorman totally redeems himself here. He may have saved Vasquez's life but he saved her from having a horrifying death.
Hated Gorman in the beginning, loved him in the end. Gorman's alright with me. ♥
Ah back when female characters weren't mary sues, and were better written, i miss those time, i mean, think about it, there is no memorable modern day strong female character anymore, that alone speaks lots of volume.
I only need to know one thing, man...
Where

lmfao
Thinking she played young John Connor's step parent in T2 is surreal..both characters had to face non human villains.
She played an Irish mom in Titantic too. Jenette Goldstein...great character actor
@@EverGreen1888 Seems she dies in all of her roles.
Gorman’s arc might be small, but it’s great. Dude went from spineless to insanely brave in like a day.
Vasquez was badass to the end and Gorman redeemed himself.
those kind of scenes in sci-fi thrillers are rarely achieved in Cinema.
Not even today's new age, freakin , GenZ hollywood can achieve this, with all the high-tech in the world.
That's true.
With all the technology they all use these days.
the movies got worse.
Than before with less technology. I don't get 10 new movies a year anymore that I can say are worth buying.
Damn right
Thank CGI crap taking over but they won't ever beat Practical Effects and such which is and always will be 1000 times better than any CGI made movie, well unless it's Animated Movie like Resident Evil Degeneration.
@@LadyElaisha Not only the quality and unrealistic nature of the CGI is that crap, but also , even with this sh1t, those guys making it are unpaid due to production companies nature
They need to make a Vasquez and Gorman figure where they’re holding the explosive before the aliens get em
I think Gorman's character arc goes mostly unnoticed but I like how he found his confidence and strength as a subordinate and not as a leader as he'd obviously failed at that. Not all men are meant to be leaders and that's okay. He went out like a badass.
確か最後に自爆する男の人は気が弱い奴と言われてたのに最後は男らしい死に方だった
Burke, “So long losers!”
0:14
Burke, “Oh come on!”
I know it's lore innacurate but the Pulse rifle spitting the casings looks awesome
Vasquez is one of the missing Primarchs.
Yooo she was one of my favorite Alien characters!
this scene was written so well:
- Newt rushing forward, leading to Vasquez falling behind.
- writer chose Gormon to save Vasquez instead of Hicks.
- Gormon redeeming himself by blowing up a grenade.
- Vasquez delivery of "you always were an asshole Gormon" was perfect
- Newt falling because of the explosion
god i love this FING movie..... from when I was a kid until now it hold up the exact same....and Vasquez was ALWAYS my favorite.
who knows if Alien 3 would have happened if Vasquez had a few more pulse rifle clips. the explosion would not have happened, sending newt down the slide, ripleys rescue mission, queen alien with egg sneak on board mother ship. or did bishop put that alien egg there?
My take is it's unlikely and it was the Queen laying one left in the chamber
0:43 If you look very closely at the door lock, you can see the other side of the door. It appears the lights are on and I think a regular person ramming against the door.
You can also see spent casings coming from the rifle when she fires it in the duct work which should not happen since the rifle isupposedly uses caseless ammo....
And Gorman got his redemption. Going out like a Marine. And Vasquez knew they weren't going out cocooned.
God this movie was so fucking good.
Aliens
Predator
Terminator 2
Die Hard
The 4 horsemen of 80s/90s action moves.
And the 4 horsemen for 1980’s animated films? I could imagine An American Tale and The Land Before Time count as two.
Robocop needs to be in there
Vasquez was my second favorite
Private Vasquez were a badass soldier and died with honor
For me no marvel movie can ever top this movie . I love marvel movies, but this movie is realistic and a Master piece of film making .
After Drake's death, these two would have made a good pair...
One of my favorite scenes of all time!
Dang what a way to go out 😱
Vasquez is one of my favorite characters ever. Beautifully interpreted! Excellent actress!
Christ what a scene. The character development is so strong
One thing I have to point out is that this scene really shows the true hidden depths of Gorman's character.
Is he an incompetent commanding officer? Undeniably.
Is he an incompetent Marine and human being? _Hell no._
Gorman strikes me as the kind of guy who isn't comfortable having other's lives in his hands, and panics if they're in a situation that he can't handle, but has no shortage of personal bravery. When the Aliens bumrush the Ops center a few minutes prior to his death, he starts firing at them with his pistol when he could otherwise have had another panic attack, or fled alongside Burke, and then obviously he decides to go back for Vasquez (who hated him more than any of the other Marines did).
Bonus points for how his last order is actually the only one he ever gives that makes sense - have Hicks, the last trained Marine with a pulse rifle, go to protect the two civilians. (Him disarming the squad when Ripley and Burke point out that the pulse rifle/Smartgun rounds could cause a TPK is a good idea, but A) he doesn't explain that part to his men; and B) he still sends them in anyway.)
Between him and Hudson, it's fascinating seeing what these characters are truly made of when the situation goes south.
“You always were an a****, Gorman. On the surface this is an insult. Much deeper this was showing Gorman respect for coming back for her. Also the clutching hands/grenade was a nod to what Vasquez did with Drake at the beginning of the movie.
Taking out as many of the enemy as you can while sacrificing yourself to save your team will always be a boss move
4k of absolute badaseness
I love it when Burke gets ambushed by the alien. 😂
Gorman earned his man card going back for her.
From all four movies this one is still considered a classic and a masterpiece it amazed me the aliens movies they have involved in storyline in so many different ways they made that the Predators who bought the aliens down to earth so they can use it as hunting down pray. Then the Prometheus movie and it's sequel wow😮
