I moved to Washington about four years ago from Florida for my spouse's job. I'll always be a tropical beach bum at heart but there's something so special about the Olympic area. It has its own brand of magic. We actually live about 15 minutes from where you were in a house on the Puget Sound and it's so incredibly peaceful. I'm so glad you had such a fantastic visit. 😊

Isn't Washington just one of the most beautiful states? I'm 34, moved here at 18, and it's my favorite state. We have so much water, 2 mountain ranges, a volcano (mt. Rainier), rainforests, waterfalls. It is really amazing and has become my home. I always love seeing people enjoy their experiences here!
I enjoyed this trip so much! It’s a shame you felt unwell one day, but good on you for acknowledging and adjusting your plans. The waterfall hike was so pretty and perfectly accompanied by Jordy’s music ❤
I live about twenty minutes from gig harbor and it’s one of my favorite places!! If you ever come back you should stay in Westport at the little cottages on the bay. It’s a sweet little town and you can explore so many beaches around the area! Specifically, Pacific Beach when they do their kite festival.

I'm so glad you went to gig harbor in Washington State, not too far from my hometown, I'm so glad you had a great experience on a boat house, Seattle also has them by the pier, reason why I love the Northwest, mountains, waterfalls, lakes, beaches, boutiques, restaurants, etc and so much more 😊
So glad to have watched this, I also wanted to do solo travel to places like Maldives and Hawaii. I always think that travel is made easier when you have the best travel gear and essentials too. The bento bag from Nomad Lane is my best carry-on bag for travels like this. Thought I'd share it with you guys too

You are a lot braver than I would be to go on these solo trips. Not that I haven’t traveled alone, but there were always business associates traveling to the same destination, so I always had someone to reach out to. Or I stayed in relatively familiar hotels, I was never out on a boat alone. But then, I am not comfortable on boats. Happy you are and took us along!
I agree100%. I love the idea of going it alone but going to an isolated park by myself would be a no-no and I am comfortable with my choices and instincts.

Welcome to Washington! I’ve been waiting for this vlog and you ended up literally staying at the dock my uncle works at! 😂 You need way more time to explore the Olympic peninsula and you have to come back and go to Friday Harbor or Langley, they are even cuter than Gig Harbor, you would love them.
This reminds me of when my husband and I went to CrossTimbers Marina in Skiatook, Oklahoma. We rented a boat and stayed in one of their lake front cabins. They have a restaurant and the boat rentals in walking distance. I think you would love it there if you are ever near Tulsa, OK. Crosstimbers Marina is about 15 minutes from the Tulsa airport.
The Pacific Northwest is, in my opinion, the most beautiful part of the US. My company's corporate office is in Tacoma and I have a really good gf who lives in Gig Harbor. I've always been so excited any time I've had to go there for work. And what a great idea to stay on a houseboat. That looked amazing!
I miss being up there. It is so extremely beautiful there. A favorite place was Multnomah falls another was Blaine. Coos Bay. Lapine, Oregon. That's where my mom decided to go live. Also loved there. Some people may think it looks gloomy but it's not. It's absolutely beautiful. Wish I could go back before I die. Just to sit somewhere and take it all in. And breathe....
Gig Harbor and the Olympic area is so beautiful. Washington State is beautiful. We have it all the ocean, mountains, snow capped Volcanoes. Waterfalls. The Columbia River. The desert. You should come to The Columbia River Gorge. It's beautiful. Hikes. Boutiques, yummy food ( gluten-free is easy to find) Explore little communities. All within 60 milescof Portland Oregon!
Girl! On your solo trips don’t get over anything!!! Soak it all in. Just look and be present with your self and the moment. It’s beautiful that you get to travel and see these things! You deserve to take it in!
