Have fun! My boyfriend and I were nomadic for a whole year. My main takeaway -- you'll need way fewer clothes than you think. And some of the most annoying things to move are food. Cooking supplies, condiments, coffee, basic spices, etc. Not everywhere is outfitted with useful stuff. Also suggest bringing a knife, cutting board, a couple of containers, and whatever you like for a coffee/tea setup. Also some basic cleaning supplies! :)
As someone who Who put her stuff in storage for only four months, one word of advice is to make sure you go with them to your storage unit as they are packing it with your stuff. I had so much stuff broken because they were throwing things into the unit obviously. I also had items that mysteriously disappeared. Have fun!
I ditto that! When I moved from Texas to the east coast, I had to utilize a storage unit for a few months until I found an apartment, and the movers broke some items and I also had a couple things go missing from my checklist. Great advice!
Such an impression, your journey has prompted me to make a full stock of my life, I had a massive stroke which left me with left side paralysis. On top of my own recovery my mother was diagnosed with stage 5 lung cancer 2 years ago so I have been her full time caregiver. Life without employment and only disability income has been a struggle. As I watch mom fade away I think what do I do after my body will still be broken and my heart will follow. I am going to do this nomad thing as well. I feel it will be healing in all ways. A recommendation to curb your "decorating itch" is to take pictures of the living room, bedroom, etc when you get to your rental, then just redecorate with their own stuff how it makes you happy! Use the pictures at the end of the time to make sure you "reset" everything how it was originally. HAVE FUN!

I do a lot of international travel and usually go for 1-3 months. That jewelry organizer is perfect! You can put small belts or silk scarves in the big pocket and scrunchies/hair ties in the hand sized pocket. Even nail polish or things like tweezers and nailclippers would work! I would definitely recommend you have a bag that has more of the basics in it for your shorter trips. It becomes extremely exhausting having to pack and unpack your things.
Hi Michel, safe travels! One tip to untangle chains is to put them on a smooth surface and use two pointy objects like pencils or straight pins to work the knots loose. 😀

Hi Michel! Love that jewelry organizer. Travel all the time for work and I have 4 different ones myself, and often have to take 2 for each trip. 😂 But I wanted to share a hack that works so well for me- buy some extra thick smoothie straws 🥤and cut them in half, or to length needed, and put the chains into them and then put them into the organizer. Totally a life saver for the tangling.
In the jewelry case you could put hair ties/scarves. Maybe even makeup that you use less often and dont want to keep in your main bag. You could even put things like cotton balls, ear swabs, bandaids, etc.
Ive seen family use those larger pockets in the “jewelry bag” for holding their toiletries when traveling. Toothbrush / paste, skincare if its small enough, hair accessories and even make up!! ❤
Hi! This nomad adventure is coming up quick! Yours will probably be really fun because you’ll have friends and family to see. It’s different than a business trip to a city where you know no one and are in a different time zone than your friends. This past Sunday I checked out Mosaic while in Austin on a business trip. Unsolicited advice but I recommend getting a camera or two to take with you for security purposes at the places you are staying. Point it at your stuff and the door since all it takes is one weird/ill-intentioned person. Looking forward to seeing your upcoming adventures and wishing you the best!
I also bought a special interior door lock for when I travel it adds just a bit more security especially when in places where others have pass keys or codes.

Sweaty girls post workout I dry my hair a little on the cool setting, then use dry shampoo. Not too much a little goes a long way. I focus on around my face & behind my ears, then I do one strip down my middle part, gentle massage it in a little (oil in her hands don’t help) lol 😂. I try & workout 3-5 days a week, I sometimes get away with 1 hair wash a week. If you bring sheets & blankets consider grabbing hockey strap & then you can roll it up & it will contain them & provide a handle. I would grab zip ties, make it into a hoop then put your earrings on it, so they will be organised on your travel jewellery box. Good luck. I agree over packing but having your car who cares 😊
It must be different in the states, but here in Ontario Canada, landlords are only allowed to raise a tenants rent by a certain percentage every year. That is insane how much they can increase your rent there. $3600 for a one bedroom apartment! That’s more than I pay for all of my bills in my house!

One more tip that may be helpful … make 5 complete outfits. Each one gets its own giant ziplock bag. Pack them in different suitcases…i.e. two in overnight/carryon bag, two in large suitcase, one in whatever other bag it may fit in. This way if a suitcase is lost by airport you still have at least two days in carry on. I once had a friend who opened her suitcase to unpack only to find an airport employee had peed in her suitcase. If you have two complete outfits in ziplock at least those might survive. Hope this helps!

Why do you not save even more money and get an RV there is a lady always Lorna Marie I believe her name is its her and her husband and 3 or 4 kids living full time in an RV . Spare cords in the jewelry organizer. Scrunchies/headbands in it as well. Any other little bits and bobs

They raise it a lot for apartments if you go month by month. If you renew for a whole year it's usually not a big increase.

Why do you not save even more money and get an RV there is a lady always Lorna Marie I believe her name is its her and her husband and 3 or 4 kids living full time in an RV . You should check her out or Niki Deventhal also does one she lives full time in her now pick up truck it was a tiny car when she started out .. I love watching both of these ladies great ideas .
