I've lived in nyc for 5 years and love seeing it through new eyes in this vlog! I lived in the Financial District for 3 years and what you were observing about the light is so true. Depending on where in the FiDi you are, the buildings there are so tall and close together sometimes you can look out in the middle of the afternoon and it looks dark. I've lived in Brooklyn the last 2 years though which is much better (plus a tree-lined street!)
I just ordered seed! I can't wait to see how it helps me. I take so many meds for AS, FMS, connective tissue disease, arthritis and you can imagine how bad my digestive health is. I'm praying for relief.

I have fibromyalgia. A chronic widespread muscle pain disease. Traveling can be difficult, but I still love to do it. I go at my own pace. Unlike you, because traveling requires so much walking, my body is affected and worsens my pain. I also have IBS and GERD, so I have to be careful what I eat. Stress also affects my illness, so I keep it at bay as much as possible. I'm 63 now, so don't do as much traveling as when I was in my 40s-at the peak of my traveling stage. Love it when you share your traveling adventures with us. Keep smiling. I smile along with you. blessings.

My husband and I went to New York in May and we stayed at the Sonder at Battery Park in the financial district. I really liked Sonder it was more spacious and affordable than other hotels I have stayed in New York.
Michel you had me cracking up when you were so excited about all the gluten free pastries 😆!! I understand the delight when you find a treat that you really love!!! The trip looks good but I'm curious how it looks at night. I've heard that the lights in New York at night are really special to see. Let me know what you think of that experience. Love, Love, Love the city that never sleeps. In my 29’s & early 30’s I spent 1-3 visits/year to visit my friend in NYC. She lived in Queens, Hoboken (NJ), and Brooklyn. She worked in Manhattan. I’d meet her at the end of her work day & navigate the subway trains on my own. It was so much fun. I’m glad to see you enjoying yourself. I cannot wait for the next video! Unfortunately my illness lands me in unbearable pain, so I end up in the ER a LOT. As I live In Boston, I have some of the best hospitals in the world at my disposal. I would have taken my bagel back into the bakery and asked for cream cheese and just said that I didn’t know that I had to ask for it separately. There’s nothing wrong with not knowing how things work... it’s nothing to be embarrassed about. Other than that I’m totally enjoying seeing New York, it’s one of my favorite places to visit.

@@jaimelyn7175 I was in NY recently and I feel like they never raise any questions, whether it’s with orders, hotel service etc. It’s pretty bad; they assume a lot and then when you ask, they give you information in bits and pieces. Best to ask upfront all the time (and have a list of questions to ask in restaurants and hotels). Maybe they’re overwhelmed. They definitely seemed that way!
@@janet8060 I live in NYC and lots of people go to bagel stores and buy bagels to eat later or at home so they don’t put toppings on them. If you go into a bagel store and want to actually eat the bagel with something you need to say “can I have and everything bagel with cream cheese” and that’s how they’ll prepare it for you. I’m sure if she went back to ask for cream cheese they would’ve put it on for her but she’d need to pay extra since that’s a separate price.

I feel like visiting NYC is very fun but living here is uhhh… pretty miserable haha. Everything being expensive all the time takes a hit on the wallet and then you don’t get to enjoy the fun things there are here. I had wayyy more fun when I first visited than I have since living here. It’s a wonderful city though ❤️ I can’t wait to move away and come back and visit haha

It’s been a while, but I liked Boston better than I liked NYC. Boston is such a walkable city with so much to do and the people in Boston were much friendlier.
It is pronounced Montague (Monta-g U) Street, like the family in Romeo and Juliette. Use to live there…love the whole Brooklyn Heights vibe. NYC is a fun city, so much energy!
Hope this helps...I am literally on the road 300+ days a year...I have a silver roll clothes rack that you can take apart and put my clothes in white garment bags from Walmart...my shoes are in plastic shoe boxes from the container store...my food is in thermal bags from Walmart and my food stays frozen all day...hope this helps!!😁
I can’t eat gluten either. But in Sprouts yesterday I met a couple that said long riding European style sour dough bread is ok 😮. I was shocked. Now I’m on the hunt or going to figure out how to make it. Great vid of NYC

Hope this helps...I am literally on the road 300+ days a year...I have a silver roll clothes rack that you can take apart and put my clothes in white garment bags from Walmart...my shoes are in plastic shoe boxes from the container store...my food is in thermal bags from Walmart and my food stays frozen all day...hope this helps!!😁
I can’t eat gluten either. But in Sprouts yesterday I met a couple that said long riding European style sour dough bread is ok 😮. I was shocked. Now I’m on the hunt or going to figure out how to make it. Great vid of NYC
