@noelianotdrugs Keen Games is working on that, so we can much more easily share game Worlds/builds. I don't know when it'll happen or what it'll look like but they know it's something we all want.
From the start of Early Access until about 5pm on Feb 13th UA-cam's algorithm had basically abandoned my channel so the only views I had were essentially from my Subs. Luckily, it decided to push the 'Better Windows' video around that 5pm mark and now I'm finally starting to get some traction with Enshrouded. It'll probably only last a little while, as per usual with YT, but I'll take whatever I can get lol.
Woow ! Every tip is very clever, I was impressed ! This video also proves you have the eye of an artist... ;D An artists knows how to trick the eye, but also how to make some little improvements that, despite their smallness, changes everything ! Bravo !
I actually think having that dirt patch in the flower bed is fine, since these little gardens are never supposed to be perfect. They're always going to have blemishes like a patch of dirt lol. It looks more lived in IMO
Flower Soil is super easy to get. In front of that ruined Cathedral in Woodgard (just NW of the starting area) there's tons of it lining that courtyard. Just dig it up with a pick axe.
I'm hoping so the Devs can implement it as it is their own proprietary Engine for Enshrouded. I just don't know if it's possible or just super hard to get working kind of thing.
@@delindsay Well, at least it should be possible to add those as fixed 3d objects. Or maybe as voxels just made to look angled by simply making a part of it transparent? They also have to add water, which is a highly requested feature. So the devs got their work cut out for them until full release. But the current state of early access is already impressively varied and polished and both the engine and concept as well as mechanics are sound. Bet we'll see tremendous progress within the year, seeing how well the EA was received and how well it sold. This is a German developer after all and Germans know how to do building games!
@@axelhopfinger533 3D Assets are exactly what I was thinking they could do to bypass potential Voxel limitations. Hell, as in depth as the Crafting system is, they could just add to it. Now, creating 3D Beams/Walls/Floors/Roof tiles in all 31 Blocks + 6 Roof types (and that's only in this portion of EA) would be a pain, unless it's just a skin so they create the Beam then wrap it 31 different ways.
@@delindsay I'm sure they could pull it off. Just need some time to tinker. And with the EA being a hit, they now should have the resources to hire some help with it if needed. The building system is already rock solid, just needs to be expanded a bit more.
Great video first of all, but what are the window frames u're using left and right of the window ? They stand out a little bit and got a wood tone to them
It's called 'Carved Wooden Window Frame' and the Blacksmith makes it. There's another version that you can make at the Workbench and it doesn't have that bottom lip on it.
Would love to make something u you just did here, do you have a video oh how you did this town? Also, Great job was wondering does the resting buff count on the stuff u have in buildings or a total of inside the alter
Rested buff should count everything within the range of the Flame Altar. This "Town" I built is 100% fake, nothing behind any of those walls. It was built just for this video as a way to show people how to trick the eye into believing we're not just all building in straight lines.
That's a huge question because even with only ~30% of the Map finished at this time in Early Access, Embervale is massive. I don't think it'd fit well aesthetically in the Kindlewastes, Nomad Highlands or the new Blackmire so that leaves Springlands and Revelwood, for the most part. But even that leaves you tons of options. It also matter how LARGE you plan to build. Do you need tons of flat-ish space or are hills fine, etc.
0:33 look at all that jettying to support nothing. I hate that feature of the half-timber block. If i don't have anything overhanging it shouldn't generate.
tfw the first town was already the "better town" you were looking for so no instead of going to youtube enshrouded building school he sends you right to youtube enshrouded building university.. thanks a lot anyway. gave mee good ideas :3
They're inset into the Stone. When you place them, if you point our camera down so the little white dot hits the ground, it allows you to overlap building Blocks a little bit. Then they snap to each other once placed.
@@iilanknessii9522 On how to merge items together? If so, I have loads of videos showing that, I'll see if I can find one that gets super detailed and link the time stamp.
@@delindsay so on my client of the game it shows the window frame no matter how high I set the graphics quality. I can’t get it to show the glass reflection :(
Obviously this is just for outdoors design. Indoor all there building will look weird as fuck cause of different elements penetrating textures. You will have to double all the walls from inside at least.
No arch or round towers no, at least not with actual curves. Voxels are all squares, similar to Minecraft but Enshrouded has smaller square sizes so with a large enough structure you could fool the brain into thinking it was rounded but it'd actually be a series of steps.

Welcome.
The view and likes are criminally low considering how good a content this is.
I hope you get traction because these is really good stuff!

Fair point.
Gave me so much inspiration for my build, thanks!!
You're most welcome!
Really sick builds ❤
Appreciate it!
Really enjoyed the video mate. It has inspired me to go back and do some remodelling 👍
Awesome!
Your building tips are great. Gives me so much inspiration 🙂 Where do you get the flower soil from?

Great video it’s so beautiful and inspiring.
Thank you!!
Great video!
Thank you!
so relaxing love it
Thank you.
Overhang that top floor by one it adds nice depth
It does indeed.
What a great and beautiful video... Thank you very much.. Very useful tips and ideas indeed... Subscribed! 🙂
And thank you for the kind words and Sub!!
Very nice!
Thanks!
Even with voxels, there MUST be a way to make acceptable 45° angles somehow. Especially 45° beams.

Put standing torches in the indentions.
That would work also. This build was more to showcase HOW to change the buildings and less on how to decorate the space.

any suggestion of the best location to build a town like this in Enshrouded?

Yeah, it's a little weird that it adds those when you DON'T have an overhang.

I'm glad to be of help.
How are you making your stone corners lined with those wood collums that you described as architectural details
They're inset into the Stone. When you place them, if you point our camera down so the little white dot hits the ground, it allows you to overlap building Blocks a little bit. Then they snap to each other once placed.
@delindsay ah OK, thanks for quick reply you've earned a subscriber lol
If you could do more tutorials on stuff like that it'd be awesome.

how do you get your windows to show up like that?

You can get around some of those issues but yes, doubling the walls would help.
I don’t get what he is trying to do ? Can you create an Arch or Dome structure? What about a tower ?
No arch or round towers no, at least not with actual curves. Voxels are all squares, similar to Minecraft but Enshrouded has smaller square sizes so with a large enough structure you could fool the brain into thinking it was rounded but it'd actually be a series of steps.
So you just copied already existing building design in the game? Cool story bro
