To make the ceiling pendant light follow these steps... 1. At the location where you want the light, remove a single ceiling block. 2. Above the ceiling, on a ceiling block adjacent to the one you removed, add two stacked blocks. 3. At the same level as the second block you just placed, add an adjacent block that "covers" the hole from step 1. 4. Go back to the level below the ceiling, add your chandelier into the hole, it will attach to the "cover" block. 5. Once light is where you want it, equip build hammer, press tab, press y (undo) four times. This will remove your temporary stack and cover block and fill the hole back in. Congrats on your ceiling light.
@@delindsay Your Welcome. I felt the same way, there just needed to be a ceiling mounted lamp, took me a while to figure out the undo portion as I was just trying to refill the hole which causes problems cause there is a chain in there and it does not want to let you fill it. If the space above the ceiling is accessible, you will see the chain sticking through, I normally cover with some piece of furniture or decoration.
Decided to give a make over to the flintstone mage tower I took over, gonna make the outside highly polished stone and replace the shroudwood parts with palm wood, the bridge in bronze and inside well block. Just need to unlock well block and polished… we shall see , thanx for all these great ideas
@@delindsay I'm a zombie right now, so I thought that you meant Windows software. I was like... uh yeah I can disable snapping on PC with Steam launch.
I actually think the building system is pretty versatile, its just how to get the effect you want requires some creative thought. (which you have been showcasing)
You can use metal fences on angled walls instead of using actual windows! I just finished Bilbo Baggins house and did that makin it waaaay less boxy lol
There is currently 31 building block types in the game at the moment so the possibility is endless to what you can make and since you can do 1 small block at a time round walls are do-able as you can also glitch blocks, columns into one another.Try removing 1 small block in wall and then placing dirt to alleviate block sticking out, in some cases you might have to place a block behind or make walls thicker...i prefer thick wall structures as sunken recess for ornaments and lighting can be placed in them, even placing luminous blocks and glicth fire cauldrons behind walls do allow small amounts of light illumination throughwalls, it is also a great way to add mood lighting.
Oh it's possible, just not part of the standard building tools. As you say, we have to glitch things into other things like I did with the corners using Windows.
@@delindsay Actually thats not correct, there are two building methods, snapping and free build mode. Free building mode allows you to build within other built blocks. Its a standard feature of the building tools. An snapping which allows building in only 2 snap points or 4 rotations. So my comment stating glitching is incorrect as no manipuation of the game is required to create the desired outcome.
I decided to rebuild the Blue Goblet Inn as my starter base, but I accidentally deleted a few of their tall windows as I was clearing rubble. We don't get the tall windows in Early Access, so I was a bit stuck. Hopefully I can salvage the build using some of these tips.
I want those windows also. I hope as EA progresses we get access to more of the 3D Assets already in the game. I'd LOVE to make a "Bandit Camp" by crafting and placing all the scrap metal looking things you find in those camps.
Hey i did that too. But you can craft the basic wood window at the workbench, make two and cross them on the window, it looks identical, for now is the best choice
I have no idea how you managed to get the wooden part with the fancy stone blocks. I tried it on rough stone and fancy stone flooring. I tried it both on ceiling and foundation tiles. I even tried the same 2m wall and 4m wall. Any insight would be appreciated!
Same. Definately is just plain stone for me on every option... tried all different floors. No wood ever appeared. Not even when matched with its own flooring.
Great video but 5:30 it's not quite random. I have managed to get the vines on the same spots (the same vine model) but nowhere else. It seems that only some blocks on the wall have this "vine spot". Hopefully we will be able to just make vines in the future.
When building a roof I have started to "double" it up. I place the first roof so all the block corners are sticking through it, and then raise (lift it up, don't pull it out) it up one click and place a second roof. It covers the wall block corners completely, and the two roofs merge together and look like one. Also if you take apart the developers buildings they did the same thing on every building I have seen.
Dude great building tips ty very much but question... Where the heck do you get the wooden Rams head decorations from??? can't seem to find them anywhere TIA :)

It's unfortunate that it's all RNG whether it places vines, or not. It would be nice if the Devs made a new tile called Vines or something to that effect.
You and any other creator may be aware that YT is maxing out ads. Up to 30sec before a video plays, 5 sec one thar say skip then changes to another 5 sec ad totally baiting you. I have watched much less youtube. Not waiting 30sec before a video. Not your fault necessarily but if you had less views... both mobile and TV app is unwatchable for me.
I'm happy for anyone that uses a certain thing to make Ads disappear, if you get my drift. YT's algorithm has dropped me off the face of the Earth so each view (when I even get any) is making me less than nothing. I mainly do this because I enjoy it.

You can fix the tiles clipping the roof by double layering. It's how the devs did it on the prefabs too.
I found that out after this video from a post on Discord but thank you.

Highly Polished Stone reminds me of Marble, looks fantastic!

you can get that window withOUT the bottom sill from your work bench and use it as a shudder. Also hitting escape - I do it all the time as well.
You'd think by now with ~150 hours in Enshrouded I'd know that (the Workbench Window)... Now I do lol.

Not for Windows unfortunately.

Indeed. They especially make fantastic tall cathedral like windows.
You can use tarred roofs to make fairly convincing stair railings.
Correct, and I have done so in a video before: ua-cam.com/video/hdjSkv_spN4/v-deo.html

I used the 2m Wall to place those. I imagine if you're using the 1x1 or 2x2 block it won't work the same.

Agreed, being able to have Vines as a "Terrain" material just like any other would be perfect.
This is an amazing architectural detail, are you an architect? I work with a lot of them IRL lol
I studied Architecture but never finished. I wanted to go into Environmental Design but they just wanted to push hyper Modernism.
