The amount of time I have into this build, over 100hrs, recording the build process and cutting it down would take forever that’s why large builds are better for your videos vs build videos. I will do build videos on smaller build but not larger ones
Never in a zillion years could I ever build anything close to that lol. I'm going to buy the game JUST based on this build lol

Insane build. The complex nature of the rooms, floors, trims. The small touches. I've made an actual base just for experimenting to create a few pieces you made, still can't do it. It would be nice to have a short video on how you built stuff into walls, the fencing and pillars outside (wood, white stone, wood?), or how the hell you leveled this to build in the first place. So much planning It's just nuts.
lol thanks!! It took some time planning and as the build went along, I carved out the landscape. I will try to put something together for you all to see. Another channel to look at that has some tutorials is Chiselchip
This video made me buy the game♡ such a wonderful house! I picked Enshrouded up yesterday and decided I was going to find a small abandoned house and renovate it as my first building experience. I ended up chosing the small tower north of Morwenna with the idea of expanding later on down the cliff side.

I'm just wondering how you can create something so beautiful. According to Enshrouded's roadmap, you will be able to share bases with others in the future. If that were possible, that would be awesome. Like in Sims, when you've built a great house and it's available to upload for other enthusiasts. If this was possible for enshrouded and the house builders were ready for it, a lot of players would be happy about it. thank you for your insight.

Hey friend! Mind if I ask, was your world crash related to using that CE table that was shared on reddit a few weeks ago to attempt to get better screenshots? Specifically a key bind toggle related to adjusting the sun's position to get the desired lighting effect? The SAME EXACT thing happened to me and 1 other person I've been talking to. (Thankfully, I had a backup as well, but it took me a full 15 hours and a reinstall to get the backup to read properly.) It was, indeed, absolutely heartbreaking after pouring so much time, energy, and emotion into our builds. This competition has been...an emotional rollercoaster, to say the least lol.
Glad you got your build back! As a fellow builder, I know just how devastating such a loss can be. It honestly might have caused me to never return to the game, or at least take a VERY long break.

That is the best interior design I’ve seen in any game. What type of ceiling did you use in the room at 7:23 ? I tried every block and can’t find anything that looks like this, it looks awesome

I like the build. It looks awesome. If the blacksmith is in the house though. I think he is going to want to show off his smithing. I think he would have metal walls and floors. He would probably put metal everywhere. Lol

on the outside i thought oh cozy and somewhat large - but had no idea the inside of the place grows as you walk through it lol! the outside of the build is gorgeous but im not a fan of the interior but that is just me - others may disagree.
It’s not for everyone but glad you liked the outside.

I used the flint stone block
I dont even know how to make backups. I thought all the info was kept "in the cloud" or some such ? Or does it depend on your server choice? This is a gorgeous build with beautiful views !
So, i didn’t have cloud turned on so it saved my game in a different location.

Thank you! There is no creator mode in game. 75% of the build was done in survival but due to the announcement of the competition, I found a resource map that I use to finish the project up.
Either way, this game is fantastic and I do hope you enjoy it 😁

So I had gathered almost all the materials before they announced the competition. I did not use a mod but utilized a resource world where the materials were gathered by other players.

Hi Alexia, I don’t have one. When i started this build the competition wasn’t announced but then they announced it and I had to focus on the build more than making a video of how I built it
I love the building system in this game, they just need to give us "builder" types console commands the way Valheim does.

I'm hoping Enshrouded gets a revamped character creator. That's the only downside to this game.

They need a creative/sandbox mode. I would love to try to build at this level but don’t want to farm all the resources for it.
They do but if you search on the Enshrouded discord for “resources” there is a public resource world that you can get materials and other items without the farming. Sort of a work around until we get creative mode
The public resource files are SUPER easy to download and use. You also have the option to make friends with someone who hosts public resource servers. Just hop into their server and grab all the building blocks and furniture you want.
There is zero reason to farm anything in Enshrouded. You can unlock recipes and craft items for the first time to complete quests, but that's it.
I don't want to live in my house anymore because I want to move in here now! 🥰💚

No I don’t think so. I had some other applications running at the time that may have contributed to them going bad
While some areas have no sense in terms of placement, this project is really promising. Definitely one of if not the best build I have seen in this game so far.

Very nice build, but i wish i could see it better! I don't know if it's the game or the video's fault, but dark areas are pitch black and I can't see anything!

@@TheBasicBuilder Now watching on a computer, the effect is lessened (I watched on bed with relatively now brightness on my phone), but I still think the contrast levels feel off. Times like 6:55 for example.

How many houses can you build? I'm so confused with this game, how can you travel? I don't have the glider yet
You can have up to 8 flame altars in the game at the moment. Start out staying close to the starter area and gather the resource to craft a workbench. That will open the glider up for you and other items.

8 flame altars per world. You can have 10 worlds.
So 80 areas to build in per Enshrouded account.
Additionally, if you play with Steam Cloud OFF, you can save the files in another folder on your PC. So really... unlimited housing.
The files are pretty small so you don't need to worry about hard drive space.
I'd only do that if you are somewhat computer literate. Otherwise, keep Steam Cloud ON. (The default is on)

I didn’t play as a wizard just got the gear once I completed all the quests
Wow, this is to much, of everything. It is a common 'mistake'(strong word) for medium tier building streamers to just overdo it. To many odds and ends. To many different textures and buildingmaterials. Placing details just for details sake.
In this build nothing manages to stand out, because everything stands out.
Envision a clear color palatte. Try to stick with one layer of texturing on surfaces. And place decorative landmarks surrounded by minor details surrounded by white noise to guide the eye of the visitor, to convai your buildfantasy.
