Sometimes I see him concerned and even a bit depressed and if you know what is going on in Russia, it's not surprising Dan cares about people and he cares about injustice. But in Russia, it can be dangerous to express some of this publicly. O know it bothers him to not be able to express what he thinks. But there is a lot that he communicates even if not with words. Sometimes it's more about what he doesn't say in words than what he does say.
But I believe what I said, I think change us coming and it will be pretty crazy for a while in Russia, That will be the time for guys like him and many likeminded Russians to speak up. Good Russians have more power than they believe and in the midst of a little chaos, it will be their time to speak with one voice without fear of consequences.
Dan, I think the Idea of being a tourist guide in Turkey is a good one and you would be great at it! I don’t think any of your subscribers would ever think that you are a crazy or dumb Russian man! There are skeletons of giants in Sardinia. Very interesting. I have been learning about the skilled and knowledgeable cultures that were destroyed by floods and the knowledge was lost.

It could be worse for him to say it in Russian. It's not about having the language skills, it is about being free to say everything he would like to. They do not have freedom of speech in Russia. Saying the wrong things can get you arrested and worse. These are just things people learn to live with. It is just the reality of living in Russia.
Listen to what he says again with the understanding that he is not allowed to say the things he can't. I have little doubt that he has been warned a time or two. In his las couple videos, I have watched him show a lot of stress and maybe even a little depression. He is conflicted and his family and his viewers are the only thing that gives him strength. Part of that might come from being a man his age in Russia and understanding just how quickly his life could be turned upside down. He has faith in humanity, but he sees a lot to shake that faith.
I look forward to his videos just to see that he is still OK. I worry about him and his family. He's a good soul.
